I noticed that most of the candies they provided are quite old. Some of the consistency of some of them are not the way they meant to be,like Duvalin it shouldn’t be hard it’s really soft and creamy, or the Pulparindo,the tend to taste funny when they get old. Im happy you’re trying different things :)
I'm mexican Dido, and I love Aciduladitos too, my favorite the red wrapper. And with the Lucas, I don't like really, I love the spicy snacks,but I think, Lucas are very spicy, soo I can understand that you didn't like it. And another candy that it's very famous in México is Mazapan, its made with peanuts, I think you love it if you trying to taste.And with the little slices, they are very spicy, but it's just a layer of chili, then it's a watermelon-flavored popsicle, I like it a lot, but it's very spicy.

The “rebanaditas” lollipop does have WAY too much chili powder, but if you manage to get through the powder, the actual watermelon flavored part is REALLY good. I can confirm because i am of mexican heritage and i also live in mexico

When I saw him throw back the lucas I was like NOOOOO! It's a hand to tongue thing or I put some on a lollipop. Liquid or powder, Lucas either goes on lollis or chips. Chamoy is life. And yes that watermelon chili lolli is part of our food pyramid since childhood. The best part of that watermelon chili lolli is after you brave the chili the watermelon is super sweet and yummy. I still eat one every now and then.
You should try peruvian candy, its not as unique on the whole but some if it is soooo good! Edit: also if you ever try canadian candies you should try some chicken bones, theyre a regional thing and not well known outside the maritimes but they're probably the strangest candies native to canada
I’m super jealous, I’m half Mexican in the US and all the Mexican shops near me are far away from my house. So on the rare occasion my mom goes to one of those shops she always gets us a little treat, usually a paleta payaso 😊

My teacher from economy says the coke tastes different because it uses a different ingredient for the sugar/sugar taste which is cane sugar. 9:24 those are the candies I always like to eat, im a sacrilegious mexican that doesn't like the chili, tamarind, and starwberry types of candy (which are very common) so the Bocadins are always a life saver 12:02 the spatula comes separate in runners so it is forgotten. Bro there some corn ones that taste so damn good but the watermelon ones I like to run through water and get the powder off lmao. If you want to try a really good spicy one, try a Rockaleta those are great and have layers of sweet and spicy with sweet gum in the middle
