The father in law was only interested in getting the ring he'd paid for back from the police. What a disgusting human being, claiming all marriages have ups and downs, yes but not generally after four months. Father and son are both despicable. At least the husband is tucked up where he should be.

Yes!! Exactly my thoughts as well.
I could see the coldness in the father in law's eyes when he said "they were a normal couple with their ups and downs. They were very happy"...
I think they should both be in prison.

Just watched part 1, the husband's father really is a piece if garbage. The smirk on his face before the camera left him tells you all you need to know about how truthful and sincere he was being.

the fact that the father in law knew the abuse was happening and didn’t stop it - all he was concerned about was the police not getting involved and his “reputation” - well I’m glad that’s down the drain. He has daughters, you’d think he would know how to protect a daughter in law. He was disgusting enough to mention the cost of a cheap 6K ring, Indian gold costs much more so he got off cheap.
The husband robbed 12k from her account… disgusting. All the signs were there

We watched both parts of this documentary & ended up in tears.
Fawziyah Javed seemed such an intelligent, lovely looking lady, how on earth did she end up with that controlling garbage!
Fawziyah’s family seemed lovely caring people, as opposed to his father who was far more concerned with his standing in the community.
Life imprisonment to serve at least 20 years before being considered for parole.
But wait…he killed 2 people, wife & unborn child = life imprisonment to serve at least 40 years before being considered for parole.
May Fawziyah’s family find peace & may her God watch over her & her child.

How can that defence barrister sleep at night. The money must help him cope. He obviously done it from the start.

Everyone should have the right to a defence lawyer - even at the Nuremberg Trials pure evil was defended
If it wasn't him it would be someone else and I think he probably did think that his client was a murderer. It's a tough job to defend the indefensible. While I'm sure he appreciates the money I'm amost sure deep down he's glad that the verdict was given any human should be but there will be other cases (if even a minority) where that man will be defending the innocent

    • @viewer.123
      @viewer.123 9 місяців тому

And I agree with the second part of your comment wholeheartedly
I've also got to say it made my blood boil some of the things the defence lawyer said but at the end of the day it's his job to defend the monsters and innocent alike but this monster will rot in jail

    • @Leitros-kj4qb

What an absurd comment. We have a taxi rank rule in this country and I am proud of it. We have an adversarial system in this country, and I am proud of that too.

He didn't have to take the case. Some of his lines of questioning were (absurd). Did anyone call for a taxi, meters running.

When the defence QC says that he’s not on trail for being a nasty guy, I think you will find that about 60% of the jury verdict was based on the fact that the things he said to her were completely disgusting and in the end , by his own words, more than proved he was capable of doing this. During his little plan, he forgot the trail of ‘nasty guy’ evidence he had left along the way. If this guy had been nothing but loving to her, the bumping into her story, would have been quite believable.

If she knew what was happening why was she allowing her daughter to go back?? All the evidence was there that he was going to hurt her. It's sad what's happened but the mother should have never let her daughter go to Scotland with him if they were going to get divorce
