      You juat have to make sure teammates arent behind the bugs with the arc thrower.. the flames are more risky imo because they spread on the ground and on bugs with can spread them back to you or other players

      Just watch where they are for the arc? If the angle is big enough it won't jump. With a little bit of practice it won't happen much, if at all in a mission. Sometimes friendly fire is unavoidable, but it is what it is. Great weapon overall, we've been using it with great effect in our runs. Flamethrower only really kills you if you jump backwards when using it or you run over ground you've set alight. If bugs get too close, shoot them with primary, run backwards and reengage with flamethower.

      Got about 10 or 15 hours with the arc. You want to be switching to primary when your team mate is in the mob. Tell them to run to you. They run past you and you swap back and bug zap or bot zap the losers. Easy peasy.

    the worst thing about the railgun nerf is the masses of people jumping into arc thrower and just team killing the ever life out of their team mates. had a team mate with 11 accidentals yesterday, damn.

      I still consider that the railgun isnt that bad considering its effective range and that it stop chargers charging attack. Its also still a good option to deal against bile titans if you know were to shoot (bile sacks first and then finish it off with a few headshots or almost any anti heavy statagem).

      @@hardboiled2987 already happening. Got fried by more arc throwers in the last week than i have since I started playing. one dude was so gung-ho and reckless with it that i just lit him up with my Stalwart and left lol.

      I started using arc thrower after patch and can confirm I got team kills nonstop. But after a few games you learn the ranges and it eats bugs alive.

      I have had to accidentals total with the arc thrower. Both were cases of tunnel vision and irritation.

      Yes there should be some kind of panic, slowdown, or stun effect. This would help with the hunters jumping all over you while you’re literally hosing them with liquid fire.

      @@M.L.official they shouldrevert it if they don't change how armor works. Also, yes flamethrower should stun or make enemies recoil so I know if it hits or not because it's not obvious.

      Nerf flamethrower damage slightly but increase its range. Make it more like an actual flamethrower
      Keep the old railgun damage but give it a support pack. Now it's not OP since you have yo sacrifice the backpack slot

    My only issue with the flamethrower is the same issue I have with most flamethrowers in most games. Why doesn’t it stun/stagger enemies? It just lights them on fire and they continue on like they don’t even notice.

      @@georgewashington7982 No one said they feel pain. But muscles and organs react and shut down due to being burned away. Even the bots should slow or stagger from their system overheating.
      Sure, being set on fire doesn't kill instantly, but you also don't just continue to full sprint until you suddenly die and fall over.

    The arc thrower absolutely slaps bugs
    I combo it with the rover dog backpack to clean up the small mobs (damn hunters) while I shoot chargers. Chargers take 8 headshots but the lightning will arc to smaller guys behind em
    It is wildly inconsistent and inaccurate, but also wildly fun

      I think with practice you will find it is more accurate than you think, and the inconsistencies in terrain blocking shots can be accounted for. The thing is super nuanced.
      Just always remember it directs itself towards its target's center of mass, and aiming for particular parts is entirely about where you place yourself in relation to your enemy. Your reticle does nothing besides tell it which thing to zap.

    For Bile Titans, you go under them and pop the two sacs. Once they go, they can't spit anymore and are easier to kill.

      Yes and no… yes they can’t spit so their attack power is halved, but those fuckers are spiteful as hell, they will chase you to the ends of the earth and try crush you. Good luck Turing around to finish it off when it’s right on your heals

      True, its useful, but it only works if there isnt an army of other bugs around. They also can still stomp you, and i personally find the spit attack to be really useful at clearing out smaller bugs that follow you.

      Also, shooting the sacs causes it to catch up with you easier. Although shooting both sacks and then using a rail strike or 110 rocket pods finishes it off. Seems like it takes increased damage if both sacks are destroyed.

    2:14 you can decapitate a brood commander with the flamethrower. Highly unintuitive, but also highly effectively.

      Same with e arc thrower but the dps on the arc is just low enough that if you pop the brood commanders head and hes near enough to you, then it can reach you and it could even get pff a couple of attacks

      They just need to make it so Flamethrower staggers/pushes back the bugs like the punisher.

      @@pain2573that would be so OP it’s in a good spot right now. Just use the slugger to push/stun anything getting close. Then switch back to the flamethrower and keep roasting. Also highly suggest shield with the flamethrower since this guy is right hunters hitting you is practically inevitable.

    Having both arc thrower and flamethrower in the team when fighting bugs makes things so much more manageable.

      @@lewchootrain It still is, just not as easy to use because the enemies can shoot at you from range rather than having to get close to you, besides some of those murder bots of course. Not only that, it's pretty hard or impossible to solo a hulk (especially the flamethrower one) with an arc thrower compared to chargers or even bile titans.

    I really enjoy the Arc Thrower with the Guard Dog Rover.
    I only wish they would tweak the Rover to attack enemies in proximity to the player. Too many times you get rushed and your Rover is attacking something on the horizon. Arc thrower is also kinda dodgy at times. I find the occasional rapid firing resulting in the gun firing, but nothing coming out until another full charge is done. Small vegetation also obstructs the pathing of it, but when it works, it's glorious!

      I think the rover is partially influenced based on where you're looking. I also have the opposite problem where there's a small bug close to me, on the opposite side of me, and the guard dog beams me down, and I wish it was shooting something further away so it'd be easier to dodge.

      Vegetation hit boxes can mostly be over come by aiming up but the biggest culprit to no shot coming out are corpses. Gun hates corpses. Still you can hip fire the arc well enough around them after you get a better feel for the gun.

      @@M.L.officialThey complained because they were OP and it did not help that some people started kicking players that refused to play with Rail gun + Shield. The problem with the flamethrower is you have a short range weapon that does not stagger the enemies and fire does not discriminate.

      @@M.L.official The flamethrower can only really do chargers effectively. Railgun can one shot bile titans and hulks, and make every other armored enemy a joke. The flamethrower is also quite deadly to teammates and yourself, while the railgun has extremely negligible downsides.

    When bugs get up close with the arc thrower don't aim down sight, it is more consistent to fire without ADS against close up enemies.

      Bugs that get too close (or any enemy for that manner) the arc thrower simply cant hit them worth a shit. If you melee and dive backwards you might be able to hit them but its inconsistant especially if they rush you before you get that shot off. annoying...

    The arc thrower can take down the charger in an average of 14 shots.
    The strength of the arc thrower is more in clearing the area of smaller bugs. It also will rip the armor off of a charger as you shoot it, mainly the sides of the plating on the main body. If you see that happen pull out your primary and fire on it. That doesn’t take nearly as long as arc throwing it.
    Another tip for the arc thrower, constantly be looking around for bugs getting close. It’s biggest strength is managing swarms and the best way to do that is to constantly swivel and take out the targets trying to flank or get too close.
    For chargers specifically, I will arc it 2-3 times then side step the charge, then zap any smaller bugs in the area. (Bonus if they are near the charger because it will bounce). You can run circles around the charger zapping it and other bugs with little risk once you get used to it.
    Bile titans, run and hit them with the arc from far away and the arc will hit things near it like a cheap Tesla coil. The arc thrower can kill bile titans with the orb rail gun stratagem, once it lands on them it only takes 2-3 shots to kill them. Otherwise the arc thrower isn’t good at dealing with them.
    Keep in mind is the arc thrower is a learning curve, especially with how it arcs. The best way I’ve found to explain it is that the arc thrower will arc in a pattern resembling a tree. The trunk being your shot and where it impacts it will “branch” off of that point.
    It also will arc at nearly 45 degree angles so if your friend is within that imaginary tree, don’t shoot it.
    Swap to your primary near teammates or if they run in front of you. If they do that and your still charging, aim into the sky or into the ground and let go. Then swap.
    The arc thrower is incredibly good at swarm management. For peeling bugs off your team if they are running towards you, and at keeping the bug swarms down so your team can kill biles or chargers. It having infinite ammo also benefits the team, you need resupplies less often so the team can double up if they need too. It’s such a good weapon overall and I highly recommend more people use it.

      Arc thrower users unite! Once people are done crying about their railguns being nerfed, I hope we see more people start embracing the ways of the arc thrower.
      I think most people pick one up during a mission, kill a teammate or two, and then write the weapon off as trash. It's sad because the arc thrower is so good! It gives y infinite ammo, surprisingly long range, the ability to shoot or chain shots around corners, a surprisingly high rate of fire, and pretty high (save for bad matchups against a few specific enemies) damage. There's a lot about the arc thrower to love. I'll admit that there is a learning curve, but I think every squad has a place for an arc thrower.

      Been loving the arc thrower! Has a bit of a learning curve when it comes to avoiding team shot (especially keeping in mind that it will track and bounce off corpses still on the field) but so damn effective at crowd control! Love my little lightening buddy.

      yep just like the rail gun, shoot it with the arc cannon til the plates come off and finish with your primary.... another thing the Arc thrower for chargers and bile titans its better to shoot them from the sides not the front... in one or two shots it will knock big plate off. for the charger uses a primary and finish it off... with a bile you can just drop a eagle strike. if you are luck with a bile you can time the arc when it opens its mouth and one shot it just like the rail gun.

    Been using arc thrower for a while. Even pre nerf of railgun. One rail cannon strat and 2 arc thrower shots will down a bike titan. Most effective way I've found to do it with the arc thrower being involved. Works everytime.

      Do you aim anywhere with the arc thrower? still dont know a consistent spot to aim at for a bile titan. takes me like 6+ shots to take down a weak titan

    Is there any way to tell what type of mission you're going into? whether it be a predominantly charger mission, or bile spewer mission, etc. I've seen operations where all 3 missions had different bug modifiers so it doesn't quite seem to be planet based

    You also don't have to fully charge the ARC thrower. Fully charge the first one, and then start rapid firing. It still takes SOME charge time but it's way faster than fully charging, And the timing pattern can be quite difficult to get down at first. But it increases the DPS like crazy.

      After the fist shot hold you charge for 0.5 seconds after the lightning dissapears and then you can shoot again.

    Thank you very much for the vid. Anyway, if I bring Arc Thrower, what stratagem should you recommend to kill a charger ? I was trying Eagle rocket but it miss so much when charger move. The railcannon on the other hand is sure kill but it has way too long cooldown. I would be very appreciate if you show the solo lv9 with arc thrower. I don't think EAT worth bringing together with Arc ???

    The arcthrower doesnt hit "whatever limb it feels like"; the arcthrower will always go from your camera to the targets center of mass. Meaning in order to get headshots you need the charger to be facing you head on. At max fire rate it takes 6 seconds to kill a charger this way. In most cases where you engage a charger at range if you land all headshots it wont ever reach you. If it charges past you just shoot its ass

    I've noticed with the arc thrower sometimes it will weaken charger leg armor enough to shoot it with another weapon. It won't even look damaged but a punisher was still not bouncing off the legs.

      Relying on strategems is the whole point of the game.The flamethrower at least has a lot more risk associated with it compared to the railgun.

      I personally say that the rail gun deserved its nerf, but not as bad for the bot side, I think it should be more powerful vs that faction.
      as for skill.. yes, it is more difficult. the flamethrower is a risk to user and team hp with the chance of burning from contact.
      the arc thrower requires a bit more positioning than the other two since you can over pen and zero a fellow helldiver in one easy zap.
      the railgun itself didn't really have any downsides with any fraction other than mag size being only one.

      The railgun was brainless. In that it was self sufficient and required no team play. Flamethrower requires close range and your team mates keeping stalkers and hunters off you.
      Stratagems can cover your weaknesses in wave clear or kill large mobs. You actually have to think and plan ahead.
      It's not a skill as in raw mechanics it's knowledge based skill.

      I've been running it a lot, there is a minimum range where the arc-thrower can't hit enemies worth a shit. dive backwards and hope they don't rush you before you get your shot off... or melee and swap weapons.

    my strat right now is arc thrower, shield gen, 500kg or air strike and then EAT 17, I use the eat on chargers, when they charge on you call it in and throw the nade on top of them so it sticks, the drop will kill it sometimes or cause them to bleed out, then feel free to use the 2 eat 17s to kill another charger or bile titan. very fast cooldown on eat too

    The Arc-thrower has a aim correction cone that teargets the center mass of an enemy in fron of the weapon, there for if your shooting at a target and your weapon can see said center mass it will shoot there and not where your actually aiming.
    If your daring you can get withing a certain distance of a charger and angle yourself so that when your pointing at the charger's legg with its center mass is not visable to the cone of the Arc-thrower and your shot will hit the limb and _then_ if the chain angle is good can bounce into the chargers body landing 2 hits and potentially letting you strip the armor off the limb.
    Way less effective than the old Railgun but it can get the job done.

    The odd part about the flamethrower buff is that the fire damage over time wasnt buffed, but the fire spray itself was. So you have to concentrate fire on the weakpoints, and hold on targets longer
    Also shoot chargers in the leg with arc thrower till the armor chips, then shoot the chipped part with your primary or secondary

    I like the recoiless, with a well aimed shot you can 1 shot titans, and 1 shot strips a chargers armor for easy cleanup. Granted i wouldnt use it solo due to the long reload, but in a group its not difficult to find safety for a reload

    One thing that's happened with me on a somewhat consistent basis has been killing Bile Titans as they spawn with literally 2 shots with the arc thrower. Not sure why it happens but it happens at least 1 time a mission but you have to hit them as soon as they start spawning. Also like a lot of other people are saying, arc thrower is just super fun. The noises the arcing. Sitting there and shooting the same big enemy but getting like 20+ kills feels amazing

    I was using the Arc Thrower over the railgun pre nerf with the shield pack, expendable launcher and eagle airstike. The launcher makes up for the arcthrowers inability to take down titans and chargers. With a low cooldown of only 70 seconds you could easily take down multiple titans and even cross map objectives like the spore spewer.

    Has anyone noticed with the arc thrower, if you kinda aim above a titan, it will like 2-3 shot it? For some reason, this might just be me cause it is really inconstant, but I have had it happen a few times over the last dozen missions or so

    Hopefully they add some fire resistant armor in the future that either mitagates how much damage you take from fire or increases the amount you need to be exposed to before you actually become engulfed.
    As of right now Stim armor is a must when running the flamethrower

    You can one shot bile titans if you aim above their head a bit, arcing toward their weakspot and killing it in one go. Feels so good when you pull it off

    One thing the test may not show is how many unintentional targets (teammates) the arc thrower hits.

      That can be managed if you aim well. It typically only arcs down range of the target you hit so just be sure you're always firing ahead of your teammates, or have a 2-3 bug buffer between your target and your teammate

    A small Flamethrower note that some people aren't aware of. When using the Flamer, it DOES matter where you are aiming the Targeting reticle. Many people aim it kind of downward and spray it everywhere. Aim the Flamer directly at the Bug weak spot (Head, Charger Leg, Etc) and they MELT. I love the flamer, though I kinda wish we would get a flame resistant armor, lol.

    I am really trying hard to solo on Helldive. Do you have any tips on what to do when you get to an objective and theres just bugs everywhere? This is usually where I fall apart, it just spawns 200 bug breaches

      Mission tip: don’t play solo 😂
      Going solo, less experience, and the longer time ur in the mission, the more enemies spawn. hence ur struggle

      For solo AND team play it's always best to avoid patrols and fights overall. If you feel like you're getting swarmed or stuck in a bug breach loop, just run away and break line of sight! People really sleep on the possibility of running away and restarting the encounter

      @@djstonedage5538 This right here. Use EMS or Smoke Orbitals to break line of sight and disengage from enemies. Save your ammo and offensive stratagems for when you need to stand your ground. And even then, be ready to keep moving and hit-and-run near the objective. Trying to go head-to-head with enemies in the highest difficulties will turn into a battle of attrition that you will not win because of how much they outnumber you.

      Stealth actually works. Go prone behind a rock or in some bushes. Seen patrols walk right past.
      Also the Devs have stated they tuned the mob density too high and will likely bring it down.
      Some of the solo helldives you watch are from initial launch. Mob density was very low and they over tuned it at the highest difficulties.

    Arc thrower on chargers seems to take them down with 3-4 hits from behind. The charger will just collapse without all that much apparent visible damage. For the titan Ive found it effective to zap them 2 - 3 times to remove the back carapace so the orbital railcannon will 1 shot them. Great video

    I noticed the arc thrower is Very effective against the Bots. Except for the chainsaw berserkers. But everything else it seems to make surprisingly short work of.

      Certain weapons seem more tuned towards dealing with bots, over bugs, or vice versa. And the arc thrower definitely feels more like a bot killing weapon

    I struggle with chargers, so i take the flamethrower and guard dog so i can use the flamethrower on the charger while the rover handles some bugs that get too close, otherwise id prefer to use my primary for everything else

    TIP for ARC THROWER: use jetpack with this thing, the arc effect can hit big enemies multiple times when angled right, specifically get to head level and shoot bile titan heads. The arc will hit the head and sacs as it arcs; shooting from the ground to head will only zap head as the arc effect only comes from the back

      Charge the first shot up to full and then after that, it'll allow you to hit a sweet spot from 50-75% charged, allowing you to spam the bolts. Mess it up though and you have to recharge it.

    I was unaware the railgun had two nerfs, I'd just read about the safe mode nerf in the official patch, but I did see a lot of players whining about meta shifts.
    That being said, I've also noticed that the jumper bugs, the mini hunters and their regular variants, seemed to have been buffed, with jump distance getting bigger, and all terminids getting increased chances to land critical headshots. Another youtuber noticed a scav taking like 60% of their health in a single hit with max armor.
    So hopefully they buff armor rating a bit more to make it worth taking over stamina-maxxing, and perhaps tone some of the bugs down a notch.

    I love to play. as an artificer.
    If you play with the flamethrower, use the fiery liberator from the premium warbond.
    It stagger and push back ennemies.
    So you can push them back in the fire when they come close to you. Just 1 bullet stop them and push back. And it takes a couple second for them to comeback. So you can push back lots of ennemies.
    Also, use the incendiary grenade. You can create morw space, and run back, or you can throw it and start the fire dot going before they reach your flamethrower range.
    I use that combo to shield my group and prefent ennemies from coming close to us.
    It works well.
    That will never work with dumb people. But with a decent group, that strategy is fire!
    I usually pick the laser stratgem and an airstrike. A well place airstrike can down a Bile titan.
    You NEED to know your aoe size for this build becauae you "play with fire" being close to your own explpsion.
    But its something i enjoy and am pretty good at.
    I always use the shield for this build. My friend can throw their 500kg wile i cc ennemies and keep them in range.
    Try it out! You will have fun!

      After firing your first shot consecutive shots can be fired about 0.5 seconds after the lightning from your gun dissapeares. assuming you started charging again immidiatly after your last shot.

    Arc > Flame: In my experience only time the flame thrower melts chargers is when they are "bugged" after charging and lose like all leg armor or whatever happens. Same problem the laser cannon has. You can kill them but you have to focus one leg after they are done charging. Not sure if it's intended or bugged, we need clarification on that.

    For me, my arc thrower setup in terminids is
    Arc thrower
    Rover guard dog (most of the time, if not shied backpack)
    Railcannon strike ( to take out 1 charger or bile titan in an instant )
    500KG bomb ( for bile titan or nest / eggs / building and we dont need cluster bomb since our arc gun can clear horde with ease )
    My main job is clear the thrash, if they big guys coming toward us i will divert my priorities to other hordes or scouts that detected us unless my team need help clear chargers or titans after their stratagems failed then only i summon mine.
    But honestly the dangerous foe is not chargers but actually the damn hunters, stalkers and bile spewers now.

    Great video. Really informative and appreciate you've opted to get your hands dirty with the new patch and figure out new strategies, instead of just complaining like so many people are. Tho they definitely need to tone down the charger/bile spam and maybe rework armor.
    Also on the flamer, it very much suffers against hunters and pouncers. But I've found your environment changes its performance massively. In an open space, you get mobbed very easily using it. But if you can fight swarms in corridors/chokepoints or around a corner, you will blender the swarm as they go thorugh the narrow space in a conga line and walk into the flames.

    I think my BIGGEST concern about the railgun nerf is that.... the gameplay loop of double tapping a charger leg and then switching to your primary to kill it JUST in time to were it lands at your feet and you almost die to dodge if your were late on the kill? The feeling of the rag doll physics sliding to your feet? Is really really fun. I just wish that they could of balanced all the other builds to the same level you know. Something like MG + incendiary is soooo good at dealing with hordes that it becomes a build to have to take one like you, like the rail gun is good at taking out middle boss monsters.
    There was one game where I jumped in to a bunch of rando meta railgun shield players rocking a rover arc thrower build on level 8 and they clearly didn't like me and fucked off. I ended up completing the same amount of objectives as they did while getting more kills than they did combined. They ended up dying 21 times while I only died once and got over 750 kills while none of them broke 200 while dying all those times. Makes it so that builds are just good at that level different things.
    Tune it so that railgun fits the role of "hey sniper, handle that heavy now!" like reduce the ammo capacity to 8 or 10 or something so they are basically force to play with their primary like they do with recoilless and stinger so that it fits that phantasy of the big ass anti material rifle role.

      After the first shot every other one can be half charged for the same damage, but if you mess up the charge you have to full charge again

    Great info on the flamethrower and Arc Thrower.
    Do you have any thoughts on grenade launcher? I find one or two nades does a great job for most mobs. One huge benefit is that the grenade launcher will always one shot the bile spewers. For chargers, if you can bounce it underneath them, it quickly eliminates them as well (~3 shots). Like the arc thrower, it has trouble in close range so a good primary is needed to clear your immediate surroundings if anything gets close. Against bile titans, as expected, it's not that good.

      Honestly I'm curious to try grenade launcher out again. I'm personally more of an autocannon fan and thought grenade launcher was a lighter weight Autocannon but the way you describe it it sounds easier to get charger kills

      @@brohogany9920 learning to control the bounce is the hardest part of the grenade launcher. I run armor with explosive resistance because I've had nade bounce off the charger and fly back at me. You can also learn how to send the nade super far and snipe tunnels/barracks without aggroing the enemy

    when you're controllin crowd with ze flammenwerfer, it's a good idea to set patches of fire on the ground as you retreat so that hunters fry themselves when they jump around before they get within range. but being able to engage them from so much farther away with the arc is nice.

    I think if the flamethrower ever does get nerfed, a nice sidenote buff would be to give it the gears of war berserker treatment. In Gears of War 1, 2, and 3, a berserker, unlike most enemies in the games, would have impenetrable armor across its entire body. The only way to get past such armor would be to use either a scorcher or the hammer of dawn. Both heated options would make the berserker vulnerable to small weapons fire. Knowing this, perhaps the flamethrower could have a similar effect, granting a ten to say twenty second debuff to enemy armor that allows small arms fire to penetrate and/or break it. I haven't played the game myself, but I think it's a cool idea.

    Biggest tip with the arc thrower is to learn the dive back, shoot, and then sprint to get back up. If you get the timing down you can charge the arc, dive, shoot, click sprint, and start charging the next shot in one fluid move. If ya get it perfect you can actually keep the crazy fast partial charge arc running so you’re still hitting fast shots per second

    Arc Thrower kills Bile bugs pretty quick, flamer puts you in range of the spitting.

    someone on reddit actually showed that the railgun still performs the same as pre nerfed railgun but the catch is you need it to be in unsafe mode and the charge must be on the red zone.....so its pretty much the same railgun but longer charge time and more risks on firing
    altho safe mode railgun is literally trash now

    Has anyone tried using the Scythe? Used it last night out of curiosity and holy shit its good. As long as you don't over heat you have infinite ammo, it annihilates the smaller mobs. Run the Disposable anti tank for everything else armored cause they nerfed the cooldown time to where you can call a new one down basically every engagement

    Two unsafe charged shots from the railgun still do the job removing leg armor from chargers.
    Railgun was nerfed yeah, but it still outperfoms the flamethrower. Why? Range and knock effect.
    Flamethrower needs you to be real close and dodging at least one time to kill a charger.
    Railgun can simple charge 2 shots that will stun the charger from the distance and you can simply finish it off with your primary or secondary weapon in a couple of seconds.
    It is still a great option against bile titans as you can pop its bile sacks from afar. Bile titans have 3 sacks, and popping them all will take about 60% of its total health, making them die from a couple of extra railgun shots or most stratagems that deal armor damage.
    I just enjoy now using: guard dog, railgun, 500 kg bomb and last one flexible like orbital laser, orbital precise strike or another eagle. Dog will deal with hunters as you deal against heavy armored targets from afar with your railgun, and if a bile shows up just nuke it with 500kg bomb and railgun its bile sacks and face till it dies (quickly).

    The arc thrower is better in my mind, but I get no real satisfaction using it. Firing up that flame thrower makes me feel like Leo in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood though.... So good.
    Also a guy with a flamer and guy with the heavy laser is a wicked show to watch!

    My friend and I actually ran this, he would run flamethrower to deal with chargers, I ran arc thrower to deal with hoards/bile titants (yes it takes a fat minute but it works)
    Nonetheless we were able to finish operations as a duo with that combination. Man was it tought though

    if you play with fire when you wear a lightarmour, then you're crazy. Using fire (specially the flamethrower) you have to be close to the enemy (i'm talking about the flamethrower support weapon) then i always use medium or heavy armour. Yeah, less movement speed, but sometimes when you get surrounded you just need more protection that speed. And trust me: with medium or heavy, you'll find it better. And if you combine that with the bag shield generator, much better.

    The railgun is still very solid vs the Automaton as the lowered damage do not matter all that much for the headshots you need to perform.
    it still kills hulks fine.
    you can still kill bigger things if you hit the weak spots... but the laser cannon is better for that purpose.
    it makes sense that the railgun is less effective vs the bugs as their numbers *should* a problem for any single shot weapon.

    Flamethrower is very inconsistent with dealing damage to chargers on some maps. Sometimes I kill charger with half a tank, sometimes it takes tank and a half. I don't know what causes this. Maybe I don't focus the leg well enough... But focusing a leg with a flamethrower? huh?

      Sometimes chargers will kind of derp out and get stuck in the environment, or their pathfinding goes wonkey and they end up just standing perfectly still. When that happens, I can kill one in about a sixth of a tank from the flamethrower. Just impossibly fast. Somehow, the charger moving around causes it to take longer to kill. I don't know if it's some desync, or some other quirk with the way the flamethrower deals damage.

Really seems like they wanted to nerf the safe mode. I think youtubers have been exaggerating the impact causing many in the community to follow suit (all the META people)

      @@Someguy1357 In term of balanced weapons, I think it is not too hard. I think it is still A-B tier. BUT, with the current so many heavies in high difficulties, we don't have reliable Anti tank to combat them. Recoiless is still bad, very bad.

    I feel like the flame thrower should cause most of the bugs to explode as its what happens to a juicy bug thrown in a campfire .

    I tried the arc thrower a lot last night and it just didn't hit that well for me. The flamethrower decimates though. I'm almost level 19, so I still want to try the railgun out.

      Do you know that you just have to charge the first shot with the arc thrower? The following shots can be charged only 1/3 of the way, making it rapid fire
