Still gutted to this day we were all over Liverpool they were dropping like flies,I said to my mate were 2 up he said we’ve scored too early even when we went 3 2 up I remember keep looking at the clock going so slow I’ve hated gerrard ever since🤬was in a pub with about 500 Liverpool fans there was about 20 West Ham it all kicked off when he made it 3 3,we deserved that cup even a lot of the scousers admitted it so near so close 😭⚒
Ashton, Zamora, Sherringham and Harewood. What I would give to have them 4 options again. Matty Etherington was also a great old fashioned proper winger! COYI
Went to the home game vs Blackburn with my Grandma, who's sadly recently deceased. She worked for Countryside Properties who were a sponsor, occasionally we got to go into the executive suite! Very exciting as a young kid. I am SO happy they uploaded this!
I was 15 for the final. Couldn’t get tickets, so went to the local pub. Packed with hammers. Tremendous atmosphere, Always remember cisse scoring to make it 2-1, and thinking that’s it, they’re guna win. Then konch scored, and I thought maybe. We got to injury time and a couple of blokes were dancing on the table, that’s when I realised West Ham are guna win the FA Cup, no soon as I turned my head Gerrard scored. ‘Just like my dreams, they fade and die’ Maybe too prophetic..
Closest West Ham have ever come to silverware in my lifetime. Gerrard talks highly about the West Ham fans that day but each time I see our rightback kick the ball back them for Gerrards rocket shot I just wish he could have played it inside to feet, West Ham would have won the cup if he had
That final was illness. Losing the two goal lead, Liverpool cheating and chasing down the ball they’d thrown back to us for putting the ball out so a cramped up player could get treatment, slicing the clearance because of that pressure and said cramped up player scoring a 1/1000 wonder-goal in stoppage time. Add in Reo-Coker’s back bump getting tipped onto the post and the ball falling to our own one legged man in Marlon Harewood, and you have the recipe for a game I still struggle to watch today.
it's fascinating how many times bigger teams scrape through the penalties over smaller clubs. West Ham knocked out Man City on pens in the 21/22 Carabao cup and that's the only one I know of
My favourite match from this run was the quarters vs Manchester City because well firstly I just hate them, but mainly because that performance from Dean Ashton was amazing. I still think we should of won it that year with the team we had and the lead we had in the final there's no way we should have thrown that away but no Steven Gerrard decided to be a prick to break my heart and make the eternal wait for me to see West Ham win a major trophy go on 😭🙄, I'm still proud of that run though it was still unbelievable tbf #COYI
Fascinating to see Man City before the oil money arrived and Prince William with a full head of hair. Very enjoyable video, pity about the unhappy ending.
Like this and West Ham will never get relegated.
My Childhood...
Harewood, Zamora, Ferdinand, Benayoun, Reo-coker, Ashton.... Epic Team...
Bittersweet. So much heart, determination and skill. Deserved to have won that final.

First time I’ve watched since we lost the final I was 16 years old and cried for days

3 own goals for us Blackburn Bolton & Liverpool 👌
Carnt wait to see another match soon
That Ashton goal at city
Europa conference league redeems so much pain. Means a lot from all our West Ham family who are no longer with us

Strange seeing Nolan score against us for Bolton and us scoring against Jussi
strange seeing Rob Green in goal for Norwich...

Why do you hate Manchester City as a West Ham fan? Of all the teams West Ham have rivalry with 😂

Hey, McFly, mate, can i drive DeLorean just for a few hours to see true West Ham..
My Liverpool mates all say we deserved to win this. Extra time we were smashing them as well.

when HRH Prince William still had hair...
The fact our highlights videos include " fa cup run" is depressing af.
It’s even more depressing that this was 14 years ago!
@@tsrgoinc you're not wrong there.
@@tsrgoinc it would've been the 15/16 fa cup if it wasn't for schweinsteiger bundling Randolph into the goal
How far is Reina off his line for every pen
he's got one foot on the line
She kicks luck 😤😤
West ham X Persebaya
