എഞ്ചിനീയർമാർ ഇതിന്റെ ബലത്തെപറ്റി പറയട്ടെ. പുതിയതായി ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ പോകുന്ന 'പാലാരിവട്ട' ത്തെക്കാൾ ഇതിനു ബലമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അതിനെ വീണ്ടും ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തട്ടെ
മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാർ നദി തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചുവിട്ടു അവർ ആ നദി സ്വന്തമായി എടുത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ സാറേ. തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ ധാരാളം സ്ഥലമുണ്ട് അവിടെ എവിടെയെങ്കിലും ഡാം കെട്ടി വെള്ളത്തില്‍ നിന്നും കരണ്ട് ഉണ്ടാക്കി ബാക്കി ജലമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ബംഗാൾ ഉൾക്കടലിലേക്ക് ഒഴുക്കി വിടട്ടെ. മുല്ലപെരിയാർ ഡാം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് നമുക്ക് അവിടെ ആറ്റമിക് എനർജിഇൽ ഒരു പവർ സ്റ്റേഷൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കി കറന്റ് ഉൽപാദിക്കാം..
1. Mullaperiyar Dam may not break easily like what the general public thinks.
2. What is the guarantee that a new dam built by our great politicians will not break up within 1-3 years of commissioning, after spending 5000+ crores, efforts and 10s of years?
3. We have seen a simpler construction like the Palarivattom flyover failed after spending 50 crores of public money in a few days. Who will bear the cost and utter inconveniences caused and the lost time?
4. Before building a new dam, investigate why this Dam is still holding water after 125 years? That will give great insights into the current status of the dam and if a new Dam is really required?
5. The dam is anchored with steel ropes to the bottom hard rocks with nearly 100 ropes. So it is a very big civil engineering success with the fast curing concrete mixture injected for anchoring. We used to plug oil wells with fast curing concrete 4-5 km deeper from sea bed after oil production become unfeasible.
6. However, water leaking is a big concern. There is nothing wrong with the water leak, if water alone goes out. But such water leaks forces soil and concrete erosion. That can lead to huge problems if not repaired or replace the eroded volume, in time.
7. So fast curing concrete mixture may be injected and fill the eroded volumes every 2-3 months at required gaps where water leaks are seen. This is a continuous process. Such actions will reduce the leaks tremendously and save the dam and all the dangers associated with dam failure.
8. Allow TN engineers to maintain and service the Dam periodically. Negotiate for better remunerations for Kerala in terms of power generated from downstream power generstions.
9. Insist TN to take insurance cover for death and destruction, if the dam fails and compensate the victims and the state of Kerala and farmers of TN.
10. This will bring a sensible solution for lost surki mixture and also lead to gradual replacing lost soil or concrete with new concrete inside the dam volume over the next 10-20 years. So this dam will eventually become like a new dam. May God bless Kerala & TN... 🙏🙏🙏
11. Building a new dam is required for Kerala politicians who can make easy money for the coming 10-20 years. All these politicians will build a brand new dam out for their own benefits, eventually to fail and again benefit from failures caused. Take wise decisions. May God help the people in danger due to the dam... 🙏🙏🙏
Points are valid. Item 1, Dam structure is standing against a hydrolic horizontal pressure of 136 feet height , at an altitude of 880 mtrs MSL.
5. Steel cable anchoring life span is only for 30 years. Now 40 years passed.
Best solution is, maintain the max head of water at 70 feet, in this 130 years old Dam.
TN should find solutions and act to move the excess water and store in TN land. In check Dams or pondsz up to them .

Peak Summer ൽ കേരളത്തിലെ Periyar നദിയിലേക്ക് വെള്ളം Irrigation ഉം കുടിവെള്ളത്തിനായി കുറേശെ തുറന്ന് വിടുകയും വേണം.
