- So this is my first video on my channel about how my days with Uber & DoorDash treat me. I'm showing it to bring awareness and see if anyone else is also experiencing the same things and how does anyone overcome the fact that we're in an oversaturated market. Glad you started with the date and time, brotha. I've been working on doing that, too. Sometimes, I slip up and forget. LOL! But that's historical data that should be said, just to give someone the frame of mind of the time you're driving and getting these types of offers.

Way to break down the logic of why you do and don't take rides. People need to understand the mentality of the driver. We do the actual work, so people should know how it affects us, mentally. We're not robots. We've got families at home, too. We leave the house to make money to feed our families, so this paints a realistic view of rideshare.

@@demonznhellcatz8502 It's very easy to watch and to listen to. You can tell that you DRIVE and you're not just talking about it. You're mentioning areas and all that, and anyone wanting to learn to drive in Atlanta can watch your videos as introductory courses to not only rideshare and delivery, but specifically to your market. THAT HELPS because the apps don't give drivers that level of education.
My first videos were very different from what I do now, so you'll learn as you go: production-wise and content-wise. You have to start somewhere, and you're doing fine, brotha. This is a very good start!
I'm out here right now doing low orders like bullets. For those who think excepting more is better, I can say from experience that these apps do not reward higher acceptance rates. I used to have a 75 percent acceptance rate until I researched and found that the best drivers only take good orders. Some of these customers want you to do 10+ miles during rush hour (30min - hr) for the price of a small cup of coffee. It isn't sustainable and there is no incentive despite these apps trying to guilt you with stats about your driving.
Yup, you get it!! I preach about us getting paid upfront at a price point that makes sense for us. If the customer's don't want to tip us then they'll have to go and get their own orders. I'm not risking even the slightest traffic ticket over these ungrateful customers that are as cheap as Mr. Krabs.
I'm glad that you did the research and now you see how to work the game! Right now is a very horrible time because the industry has gone to shit but at least you know how the smart drivers work. I hope that everything goes well for you though!

Welcome and that's pretty cool, I'm staying in Marietta as well! Definitely talk about it because I'd like to see the different experiences. My experiences haven't been so good as you seen but I'd definitely wanna see if there's a positive outcome to actually making money with these apps. I can't wait to see it though if you do decide to make a channel about it!

I feel you, it's sad that the rates are being driven right into the ground. It was never like that and I never thought it could get this bad, but it looks like it did. This is also the effect of having a lot of new drivers that don't understand numbers.

Bro it’s that way here too, it’s everywhere. It’s saturated with people that don’t know what they are doing. Killing the market. If they knew what they were doing the market would be fine imo but these apps know there are plenty out there that are clueless. Can you imagine how the holidays will be with more and more newbies coming in that don’t know what they are doing? Out there killing our market even more so that have extra cash for the holidays.
True, I agree 100%!! It used to be good but with all the new people coming on and the apps cutting our pay as well, it's causing a snowball effect that's just not seeming to work. Hopefully it gets better but if not, then rideshare will only be for gas money and snacks in the future😂.
I highly recommend getting 5G ultra capacity. Download speed matters a lot. Maybe people with faster speed get the orders before they even hit your phone.
Well I have T-MOBILE and the plan I have is Go5G Plus which is the fastest 5G plan they have. So it doesn't necessarily have to do with download speeds in this case.

I drive/hustle everyday. The more hustling that I seem to do, the less I seem to make. You can't treat this work like it's a job because it's a business. Uber isn't going to compensate you for nothing at the end of the day. They literally take more and more of the fares from your earnings every single day. That's very true especially when it comes to the gig work. It used to pay but now it's pennies on the dollar all day everyday.
Uber eats i would never do not one bit. Not doordash either. Maybe just for gas money purposes only all that is trash
I 150% agree with you!! UberEats, Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash has to now be strictly for just gas money or buying candy bars at the stores😂. The stuff these apps are pulling are not paying bills at all, instead they're actually causing more bills to stack up! 2/14/24 is a big day for us to show the apps that we the drivers are in control and we set the standards, not the apps.
@demonznhellcatz8502 you know what's best I just make business cards and tell a lot of passengers if they need rides use my number they do not need uber and lyft bullshit anymore I'm seriously over they trash it's my way now to start my own rideshare gig and I get a lot of clients lyft uber will be missing out if everyone starts doing this
Damn straight you deduct the gas money you may make 4.50 for 30 minutes with the customer. Oh yes don’t forget the 7 minutes of wait time to get the person in the car
Most people don't do the math, they just "drive". I love driving but if you don't do your numbers, you're gonna run into some issues down the road. I'm glad that you get it though!

Idk man yall just not in the right areas maybe? I just started barely over a week ago but I made 140 something in not even 7 hours out in brookhaven/sandy springs etc. My first day
@@gargeluy3035 That's the catch! They're gonna give you all the money at first and it's gonna seem like we're all lying or we just all don't know what we're doing. You're in the Honeymoon phase of Uber and that's how they treated all of us. Just wait like 3 months or so and watch the money dry up. I'm not saying this because I want this to happen to you, I'm saying this because this is how Uber gets you thinking you can make money with them. Just give it time and you'll see. Higher AR doesn't mean you get better orders😊. I used to have a higher AR before and still was treated the same. Thanks for your input though.
