Privately Protected Areas, Błota Rakutowskie. WWF Poland

WWF Poland cooperates with ALAUDA Nature Society in buying the most valuable areas, leading efforts to restore proper water management in areas that began to dry out as a result of previous agricultural activities. The WWF Foundation's project is an investment in the protection of unique meadow habitats, in extraordinary and valuable places in Poland, which are refuges for birds and rare plants.To maintain charadriiform birds breeding habitats in Błota Rakutowskie, Alauda turned to the Polish Konik horses.
