1 thing that i love about ajin is literary in the beginning about how these people(ajin) are beyond human, monster but the first view pages we see how humans do the inhumane stuff
TRUEE!! Especially when you consider Tanaka’s case. Poor dude was experimented on for 10 years. You almost can’t blame the guy for what he did after he got saved by Sato.
@@thrwwccnt5845I guess it depends on what you consider “underrated” 🤔some people have different standards for what counts as underrated. I was relatively new to the series so I wasn’t aware of how popular it was. With that said, I will admit, when I searched the #ajin tag on UA-cam, the amount of videos on it was WAAY more than I expected. And they did make an anime on it apparently 🤔 so maybe you’re right. It definitely isn’t as niche as I thought, that’s for sure.
Yeah ngl, this manga and technoblade do have two VERY different audience hence why I felt the need to add such a long introduction to who techno blade is although it was arguably a bit too long for those who didn't know who he was lol. Thank you for watching btw XD
🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣BAHHAHAHAHHA LOL I didn’t even think of it that way. Thats a very good point though. In my defense, I found the wall climbing way more gruesome… I mean both are still really gruesome 😅😅
one was quick and relatively painless compared to the other one where the character was just dangling on top of a wall bleeding out for like half an hour
I'd like everyone to remember that for the teleportation trick to work, he has to woodchip himself HEAD LAST, in the most painful way, otherwise he'd just regenerate in place.
@@StarryxNight5 I'll be somewhat vague (mostly because I read it a while ago) So basically, you bite off your fingertips, put them against the wall, then die. Doing this regrows the fingers into the wall, giving you a way to pull yourself up. Now that you are slightly above, bite off your fingers again, kill yourself again and pull yourself up a bit more. Repeat until over the wall. The thing is, I really can't remember what method was used to quick-die every time, if I had to guess it was self suffocation or bleeding out from biting off the tongue.
The fact that there's nothing to redeem about Sato is one of the reasons I like him so much as a villain. He's just batshit crazy. He doesn't try to posit any real morality, or make himself sympathetic. He's just a monster. At most we could say that because he is immortal, perhaps living normally has lost all meaning for him so his terrorism is a way to entertain himself. But that would be the closest we could possibly get to reasoning why he does it
Yeah! We often get a lot of villains where writers try to make them sympathetic (which isn't bad of course) but sometimes it comes across as forced or artificial. So seeing someone like Sato was a breath of fresh air. No complex motive, just pure wild fun XD. Well.... not fun for the people he killed, I imagine. 😅
My first introduction to Ajin was the anime, and I was BLOWN AWAY by Sato. He was an ever present threat that was the bad side of aligning with the Ajins which left our MC with a choice between 2 bad extremes or trying to forge their own path. Virtually the only thing that separated Sato from the MC was his willpower to harm himself, and his ingenious use of his Ajin abilities instead of generic Anime powerup #853 like in most anime I had watched. Sato was on DEMON TIME 24/7
Dude, the way Sato used his immortal powers still blows my mind to this day (no pun intended XD), I remember my jaw just opening wide when I saw some of those scenes. Yeah the MC. He was okay with hurting himself but he was afraid of losing his head because of the whole "if my head gets blown off and I grow a new head, am I still the same person?" kind of thing. I believe Sato was even trying to encourage Nagai to do it at one point lmao, he was like "let me chop off your head once, then you'll finally get good" or smt like that. What. A. Guy. XD
I am surprised by the amount of people who know Ajin and also know Tehcnoblade! genuinely wasn't expected that XD. And thank YOU for watching the video!
I thought, the cruelest thing in the Manga was what Sato did with the Ajin who weren't on his side. I don't want to spoil it, but sometimes I sit there and just think about the Horror they must feel.
Spoiler warning for anyone reading this…. DUDE THE BARRELS!!! THAT SCENE STILL HAUNTS ME FROM TIME TO TIME 🥶🥶 like can you imagine… 🥶🥶like Sato did a lot of messed up things that were arguably just as messed up but dang, that barrel scene 🥶
@@nathanjwritingSpoiler. Exactly. It's like a nightmare you never truly forget! That's so much worse than plain death. If someone opens the barrells and finds them... And then?! I know, I would be nothing than a husk But good to know I am not the only one who thinks about the scene sometimes. I've read it a few years ago and it's the same feeling of terror when I think about it.
@@davidbratland9754from what i remember, he basically stuffed them in barrels where they couldn't move at all and let them just die over and over and over due too starvation, heat, dehydration, etc. And after a few weeks or months (don't remember exactly) they got rescued and basically everyone except one person was in a vegetative state.
the thing about the no tranquilizers in front of the public might have been cause they were still lying about what actually happeneds to the demi humans when they are used brought in for medicine research(cause the public thought they were cooperating with the demi humans willingly, the way america was dooing it actually) , so using tranquilizer guns might be dehumanizing
@@panic5306 my view on this is, if they show in public with a lot of guys using tranquilizers they are saying that they already have a "special force against" those people which looks bad if they were lying about helping them, and if they use normal guns looks like they are using "standard"
OOOOOOOOOO, that actually makes a lot of sense. I never considered the fact that maybe the reason was more related to the existence of Ajin rather than it being real world rules. There was another commented who has a more political theory to it which also made sense but yeah, when you put it like that, that actually sounds like its the exact reason why they couldn't use tranquillisers XD. Also, wow, I'm pleasantly surprised by the amount of people who paused to read that wall of text lol.
@@panic5306it’s actually a real world rule to not alloy tranquilizer by police because the amount you need for each person varies heavily so it’s easy to accidentally kill someone it’s hard to know how much to use unless you know the persons like exact weight and medical history etc
Never would I have guessed I would find a manga and technoblade video, even less would I've imagined it'd use that one corrupted violin fencer theme. absolute banger
Oh wow, that is quite the coincidence XD. Yeah ngl, manga and Technoblade is definitely an unexpected combo lol. I'm genuinely surprised by the amount of technoblade viewers who just so happened to watch this video. And yeah the corrupted violin. Ever since I found it, it instantly became one of my favourite background music songs to use. It's just so good and satisfying to listen to. I've already used it in like three of my videos I think and I probably will use it again for future videos lol.
haha, thank you, I'm happy to be of service XD. You probably already seen it but I saw another UA-camr named "SlimeFancypants" made a video essay on Sato one year ago, first thing that came up when I search AJIN. But yeah, it didn't seem like people talked about this manga at first hence I made this video XD.
This video seemed really well thought out. The technoblade part was a bit risky but since im a huge fan the section was actualy hilaroius and for a few minutes i actually forgot what the whole video was about. Really well made good job!
It was risky move for sure. I actually did got called out for that by a few comments which fair enough, Ajin and Techno have two very different audiences. Although I was pleasantly surprised by the large amount of techno viewers who just so happen to know Ajin. But yeah, definitely something I gotta watch out for in future vids 😅
You really can't hate a man with Sato's childlike wonder. Gets told he "couldn't die" and decides to stress test that statement in the most extreme way possible
I actually haven't played Ultra kill but a few comments have pointed out the similarities between the two. Maybe it is a reference to that, who knows XD
Honestly yeah. Maybe the fact that we didn't need to think about the morality of his actions (cause they were obviously evil and twisted) was one of the reasons why just he was so fun to watch in action!
I really like this video in every way it is so REAL. You make your audience read and listen, your edits look and sound personal and again real. I wonder if you and maybe myself one day will hit all senses to our audience. I don't have an audience but maybe I will. All and all, great video. Oh one more thing, it felt like you made the vibe go dark, somber, sad for a moment while explaining how the Techno guy is dead, that is sad and I like that. Make your audience ride your roller-coaster of emotions.
THANK YOU!!! Yeah even I still rewatch the start occasionally XD. It took a long time to make but I’m super proud with how it turned out and I’m really glad you liked the whole vid. Thank you for watching the whole thing mate 😆😆😆
Well ngl, I honestly would like to be monetised one day XD. In fact, this video blowing up in views has made my channel eligible to start making small money on it. I do believe honesty is super important though and hopefully I maintain that value no matter what. "Hopefully". I would like to think so but we'll see what happens in the future I guess. (Assuming I do become monetise to begin with)
I started this video, forgot to pause it when I stepped away for a shower, when I came back, it was a Technoblade memorial... I was so confused I had to restart the video.
Hahaha 🤣, yeah to be fair, your confusion is very valid. Technoblade does seem very out of place in a manga video and a few comments have rightfully called me out for that. Honestly the tribute I made for Tehcnoblade seems like it was made for a completely different video lmao. Thanks for taking the time to restart it anyway though, I appreciate that, thank you!
I'm sure someone already pointed it out by now, but Ajin actually had a full on writer switch. I can't quite recall if that included the artist picking up and changing it to more suit his own style or not, but that is why there's almost a shift in both (at least a tonal shift it feels like) the writing and the art. I do like to believe the original author also wanted it to start heading this way since a lot of the story beats were before the change up, but I think it occurs somewhere between chapters 5-10. As for the talking, a lot of it is setup and guesswork where they throw ideas at what the Ajin and the Ghosts represent.
Oops forgot to keep writing. But basically it either 1: Sets up a scene where the MC's do something crazy (the police wondering how on Sato will get past a huge water reserve, a ton of police, and security officers all waiting for him. Then the switch to the airport. It also allows people IRL to theorycraft what the Ajin were and how their powers worked by having smarter people think things up. I know a lot of people hated the main protag or how he acted, but I think it was pretty refreshing seeing a guy who was dedicated to selfishness but to look good for the people around him at first. His sister talking about being sick and her brother wanting to be a doctor was fine at first, figuring it would be another doing the right thing kind of manga. Only for it to be revealed shortly after that it was all lip service to get praise from the authority figures around him. That was some great stuff. I understand why what he did (if it was the truck thing) would leave a sour taste in your mouth, but I would say that his actions were reasonable given his character, especially when the alternative in his mind was the barrel treatment or facing the government and losing. He did shape up eventually but I know how people get when some actions seem way too much. I can't really argue the Anti-Demi forces not being shown off enough, though their action scenes were great for the limited time they had. I will also say the ending could at the very hint at some spinoff for Sato, but maybe that's just me hoping with the way it was worded.
Yeah the writer's switch has been pointed out to me and it does make sense considering the change in the art. The talking definitely had its purpose. I'm not an expert writer clearly and the fact that I skimmed passed a lot of it was actually due to another reason which I didn't mention in the video cause the video was getting too long (TLDR: I was in a 'read scary manga' phase so I was going from horror manga to the next and kinda just skipping to the scary bits. I came across Ajin thinking it was a scary manga and tried to "skip to the scary bits', so yeah, that's how I found it XD), A lot of people in the comments actually agree with you when it comes to the main protagonist. He's certainly more unique and refreshing compared to the typical protagonist we get in anime/manga. Definitely a very complex well written character and the complexity of his actions and the decisions he had to make is such an awesome contrast to Sato who can quickly make decisions based on a whim to have fun. I'm slowly realising I'm in the minority for not liking him. When I said I didn't like him, it was more out of a personal preference. I'm not sure what you mean by the truck thing but I was referring to the fight he had with Nakano when they first met. I also didn't consider the fact that his alternatives were the barrel treatment or facing torture from the government. Someone else made a good point that he was literally just a high schooler when it all happened so the initial selfish part of him actually makes sense when you think of it like that. The author had good reason not to include the Anti-demon force much, to be fair. If you pause at 35:07, I wrote down the reasons why the author had to limit their roles. Only if you're interested though. I was content with the ending but I wouldn't complain if they made a Sato spin off, for sure XD. I think everyone would love that lol. Anyways, thank you so much for watching the whole video and thank you again for going out of your way to write a comment. I really appreciate it!
@@nathanjwriting I get you on the skipping to the good parts. I think I was in a phase for that (maybe I still am) for certain Isekai where I'm hoping it does something a lot better than the usual stuff. Sometimes I get lucky. As for the truck thing, I meant when Nakano gets left in a tipped over truck as a sort of prison because he was tricked initially. That definitely felt really fucked up when the end result was supposed to be so Kei could live his normal life. Nothing wrong with not liking him for that, because he pretty much took full advantage of Nakano's goodwill and kindness. And yeah I did understand your reasoning for the anti-demon force being left for the end, you pretty much hit the nail on the head with your video. And no problem, you really did capture a lot of what made the manga good without spoiling too much, which is pretty tough to do, especially with how beautiful some of those scenes were. Thanks for the hard work, your video came out great!

And thank you for watching and going out of your way to comment! Future stuff might take a while due to life stuff but I do have a list of ideas to make so glad to hear that.
Only having watched the amine, Sato will forever be my favorite villain. The way he calmly explains how to kill an ajin... the shape of his ghost... ugh, so good
Oooooooo, how did you even find that? XD. Interesting. So I was right, I was too young to understand that reference, I wasn't even alive when that show was airing lmao.
@nathanjwriting Honestly I looked up "tubbs wikipedia" and got to a list of famous people with the last name Tubbs! From there Miami Vice seemed Sato's speed.
Ajin is so based. My friend showed me the anime years ago and it led me to the manga. Incredible all the way through. How you gonna make me cry with the technoblade montage? Rip king
It's such a good manga. A manga that I'm so happy I accidentally stumbled upon XD. And yeah the techno montage 😅It seems I made a few people cry with that montage. Even I was feeling a bit sad when editing that part. Ngl, it was very out of pocket to include Techno in a manga video though XD
I know right! I still remember the day Techno broke Minecraft Monday... several times XD. Like the similarities between the two is almost uncanny... I mean, besides the actual killing, of course 😅
Thanks so much mate! My sense in humour in real life sucks so I'm glad to hear it's a bit better when it comes to editing, (Probably because I can spend hours crafting each joke lmao). Yeah the edits took a while so I'm super glad to hear you liked it.
Nagai is my goat, I can see reading the manga slowly over the years kind of annoying to watch him, but I binged this shit in 3 days eat it up like a champ and Nagai is just so badass, he is smart, cold and calculated oppose to most shonen mc, even tho logically he knows he can get away from all these toruble, kill people that'd be a problem to him and then live life normally, but he got that mindset of absurd that makes him wanna try deal with all these crazy problems that a midschooler shouldn't face and my favorite part is how he shows the non-exaustion of human mind can be, he literally never stop, he never rest in the story, and is always try-harding, and that synergise with his demi-human property so much cus they can't die meaning nothing can stop them, and that they regen whenever they dies meaning infinite stamina, he is just a perfect mc for this story and the setting
Yeah honestly, Negai Is definitely not a bad character, quite the opposite. When I said I didn't him, it was more of a personal preference more than anything. But I admit, he did make a lot of really clever decisions and you bring up a good point that I kinda forgot about him just being a middle schooler. I can't imagine having to face all that at that age so the fact he charged into the chaos willingly is quite admirable.
It's such a good song! I've been using it ever since I first listened to it. I've used it in like three of my videos already and I definitely will use it again in the future XD.
Glad I stumble across this vid, 100% agree that Samuel CARRIED the story as an antagonist. Back when I was in high school my friends urges me to drop Ajin because the main character is shite, but they are missing out on this insanity Great vid keep up with the good work man 👍
The fact that techoblade would have enjoyed this manga if he ever read it is awesome to have that thought and Samuel might have been his favorite character😂
Im happy to say i Can now hear and see clips of technoblade and hear people mention his death without shredding a tear, i know technoblade would not want us to cry over him, so the fact i even smiled and laughed at the clips is a good thing in this scenario.
I watched the anime years ago but didn't give a chance to the manga. You made me read ajin with this video. Just ended the manga and i'm back on your video to watch it for the second time and say THANK YOU !
Satos out here finding irl exploits that cause severe pain to perform. A very good parallel to him would be subaru from re zero who desperately doesnt wanna die, because dying hurts really bad, even if its only temporary
I surprisingly haven’t watched Re:zero yet, it’s been on my “watch eventually” list for while though cause I keep procrastinating on that list XD. However, what you said there has peaked my interest.
@@nathanjwriting its pretty good. The main character is a normal human in a very fantasy world, his only power worth noting is when he dies, time rewinds back to a certain point. He doesnt like to use it though because dying kinda sucks. His power is basically a checkpoint system.
Aww, sorry I did that to you, my bad. In hindsight, mentioning tehcnoblade in a manga video does seem extremely out of place and probably wasn't the best idea 😅it seems,I just really wanted to make those techno puns I guess
Great art can come about when the creator ignores convention and makes something unexpected. I've heard that the artist of Ajin was originally teamed with a writer who left without finishing the story, then he was forced to continue by himself. There have been dark and gory manga before, but this one explores some horrifying ideas in a unique way. It wasn't an idea made to sell or appeal to an audience, it was made by someone who thought it would be cool.
Looking forward to seeing more content from you, excellent example of what a documentary should be, the random side-tangents into stuff you're passionate about or love genuinely make something like this feel so much more personal and far more enjoyable.
I thought this was gonna be a abridged version of a manga video or something while I was watching and I find out it was just the introduction 👏 absolutely fantastic I loved it
I‘m no expert on tranquilizers, however I do know a bit. Every time that an operation is performed on you and you have to be unconscious that is done through an anesthetic, a neurotoxin essentially. There is always a specialized doctor there (the anesthetist) who is only there to monitor how much of said neurotoxin to give you, in what intervals to give it to you and how to give it to you, depending on various data collected on you. If that is done improperly the dosage could be the cause of irreversible damage or death depending on the anesthetic used (most modern anesthetics have a very low risk involved due to being monitored so closely). That is the reason as to why „using a tranquilizer dart to knock someone out“ is often very unrealistic. You could of course eyeball it but you will always run the risk of not using enough (too keep them knocked out for long) or using too much or of the anesthetic having an unforeseen effect due to a presently unknown medical condition.
One small detail I really enjoyed is how Sato funds his plans by repeatedly cutting out his own organs and selling them to the mob. He literally turned his immortality into an infinite money glitch.
Making this comment less than 3 minutes in- ever since I saw the anime years ago, Sato has stood at the top of my personal rankings for anime antagonists. He earned it. I’m sure it’s about to be put in better words, but he’s just the best. Not to mention, despite being a huge anime and manga enthusiast, it never occurred to me until now that there may have been a manga. I’m mentally salivating (hits play) *edit* the Technoblade series of clips made my heart shed tears.
Incredible. But I can’t get over two things- 1) the amount of times I have to rewind and pause for a split second of something I wanted to read. Give it a spot second longer so we can pause in real time normally. 2) says very early on that Nate doesn’t want to butcher pronunciations, but proceeds to say mayn-ga instead of mahn-ga for the rest of the video.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the super encouraging words! With that said, I got A LOT of subscribers just from this one video. It boosted me straight to 1k which I'm already super grateful for and extremely happy to see.
The art style evolved because the production begun as a four hands project with a writer and a drawer, their editors literally went like "you two could work together, have fun!" then only one of them remained (I think the drawer) while the other got bored, and the one that stayed had to take the story in the only direction he knew: 80s movie style action! And the rest is history
You know that thing Sato says about not losing your head, because you never come back the same? He has probably lost his head many times before we met him.
If I was immortal I would also use it to have fun, but I wouldn't kill people, I would do things like jumping of a skyscraper, approach and pet dangerous wild animals, run through a mine field, swim to the bottom of the ocean without equipment, and basically every other thing I would do if it wasn't for death
That would explain it. When I researched it, other names did pop up but most sources said Gamon so I kinda shrugged it off. But yeah that does explain it. In fact it makes way more sense that what I initially assumed lol, I thought it was just them improving their art lol.
Sato being voiced by techno is not what id ever wanted but man thats a what i needed XD fits to well and i know the pig himself probs loved sato even if he never read it they both crazy anarchist. (posted before i finished the video i agree that 99% of sato is shit and literally unexcusable other then he fully puts himself into his fun kinda like the flip side of techno same people in mindset just techno kept it all in game sato went bleeding into his reality )
To be fair, Techno did steal presents from orphans- 🤣jk jk. But yeah the way you distinguish the difference between Techno and Sato is something I kinda wish I put into the video XD. But yeah, I can imagine Techno loving Sato as well. Was he ever into anime? I can't remember.
It’s not just the teleportation that got me (and I knew you would talk about that when it came to the best scenes), but the way he smuggled it in. For those who wouldn’t bother reading it anyways: He cut off his hand and hid it among fried chicken by frying it up along with it, then shipped it to the top of a building before sliding into a wood chipper so the largest piece of himself was the fried hand.
The scene you talk about at 32:33 was made because of the ending of the anime, at least many people assume so. The anime basically ended with very dumbed down "America bad Japan good" far-right propaganda and as you would know if you've read the manga, the author seems to really dislike and criticize those far sided politics. So it seems he basically made "America good Japan bad" scene right after the anime ended, portraying America treating Ajins way more humanely than Japan.
The usage of the SECURE CONTAIN PROTECT film is PERFECT for Sato's rampage against the guards. Two metahumans slaughtering facility guards in tandem, that's what I call peak editing.
The fight choreography was SO GOOD! I said this in the video but it's also super clear to see as well. Like in a lot of manga, the action tends to get messy and hard to see what's happening so huge props to the author, for sure. Sato was such a good character.
And I'll be keeping an eye on your eye that's keeping an eye on... that sentence makes no sense 🤣🤣but yeah, thank you! I'm glad to hear. Videos might take a while to make cause life stuff but yeah I have a list of ideas planed that I really want to make in the future so I'm super glad to hear that. Very encouraging to hear, for sure.
As someone who read the manga first, I didn't even know it had an anime until I made this video lol. But yeah, from what I heard it doesn't look great in terms of animation but considering the source material, I'm not surprised it was still fun to watch though.
Ajin is way too underrated, just like Sato. A villain that is evil just because "it is fun" is a concept that is hardly well-explored, and the author of this manga really knew what he was doing. Incredible video!
If anyone is wondering about the whole "doesn't care about getting hurt" thing, I have found both through my own experience and a fair bit of medical research that you only feel pain if you care about being hurt. Otherwise it just itches.
Oh.... ugh.... Are you okay? Be sure to take care of yourself. Even if it doesn't hurt, I would imagine it's still harmful to your body. But ngl, that is super interesting 🤔 I guess there are many people who have experience pain so much, it barely phases them.
Nah my man Sato is a master strategist and at combat his “getting bored” is him realizing the jig is up and he can leave now to have more fun later because half the fun is making the MC look stupid and keeping them chasing. He can kill 500 dudes based off his intelligence I think he could realize when it’s time to leave to fight another day.
Yeah he's battle IQ is off the charts. And that is an interesting integration of him "getting bored", I never considered it like that. Maybe he really was a mega genius. But I really wanted to see how he would've countered Nagai's particle smoke strategy if you know what I'm referring to. He probably would've still gotten out of it for sure considering how clever he is but yeah.
8:43 i think the reason they couldn't use tranqs was because they weren't allowed to let the public know that a private army specially dedicated and designed to detaining demi humans existed.

I'd like everyone to remember that for the teleportation trick to work, he has to woodchip himself HEAD LAST, in the most painful way, otherwise he'd just regenerate in place.
How did he do the climbing glitch?
@@StarryxNight5 I'll be somewhat vague (mostly because I read it a while ago)
So basically, you bite off your fingertips, put them against the wall, then die.

What. A. Guy. XD
A video examining Sato from Ajin and commemorating Technoblade? This is... this was made just for me ;-; Thank you.
And then?! I know, I would be nothing than a husk
But good to know I am not the only one who thinks about the scene sometimes. I've read it a few years ago and it's the same feeling of terror when I think about it.
For someone who didnt read it, what did he do?
@@davidbratland9754from what i remember, he basically stuffed them in barrels where they couldn't move at all and let them just die over and over and over due too starvation, heat, dehydration, etc.
And after a few weeks or months (don't remember exactly) they got rescued and basically everyone except one person was in a vegetative state.
Were becoming Immortal with this one

Umm... We're* 🤓🤓🤓🤓
the thing about the no tranquilizers in front of the public might have been cause they were still lying about what actually happeneds to the demi humans when they are used brought in for medicine research(cause the public thought they were cooperating with the demi humans willingly, the way america was dooing it actually) , so using tranquilizer guns might be dehumanizing
and using gun guns would be less so?
@@panic5306 my view on this is, if they show in public with a lot of guys using tranquilizers they are saying that they already have a "special force against" those people which looks bad if they were lying about helping them, and if they use normal guns looks like they are using "standard"
@@victorsaboski7429 exactly
OOOOOOOOOO, that actually makes a lot of sense. I never considered the fact that maybe the reason was more related to the existence of Ajin rather than it being real world rules. There was another commented who has a more political theory to it which also made sense but yeah, when you put it like that, that actually sounds like its the exact reason why they couldn't use tranquillisers XD.
Also, wow, I'm pleasantly surprised by the amount of people who paused to read that wall of text lol.
@@panic5306it’s actually a real world rule to not alloy tranquilizer by police because the amount you need for each person varies heavily so it’s easy to accidentally kill someone it’s hard to know how much to use unless you know the persons like exact weight and medical history etc
im getting flashbacks at the introduction
Technoblade never dies
OH GOD IT WAS SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST THE INTRO NO MY FEELINGS AAAAA
Ahhh.... yeah sorry about that mate 😅, if the intro was enough to give you flashbacks, the tribute must've been quite a hard hit huh 😅😅😅
So the villain is basically a cracked out Souls player while simultaneously top of of the leader board in CoD and CSGO goes full feral
That is by far, the best description I have ever heard of Sato's character. Like that perfectly describes him lmao.
FINALLY!!! Someone did an essay about the most underrated manga ever, I am utterly grateful on such service you have bestowed upon us.
haha, thank you, I'm happy to be of service XD. You probably already seen it but I saw another UA-camr named "SlimeFancypants" made a video essay on Sato one year ago, first thing that came up when I search AJIN. But yeah, it didn't seem like people talked about this manga at first hence I made this video XD.
That technoblade part made me cry dude
Yeah, it even got me a bit emotional when I was first editing that part XD
Thanks for putting me on I’m definitely gonna have to check this one out I dig the concept
Ayyyee noice. Hope you have a fun time reading it 😁
This video seemed really well thought out.
Gets told he "couldn't die" and decides to stress test that statement in the most extreme way possible
imagine being paralyzed from the head down or missing all your limbs for 60 years and then you die and find out you were a demi-human the whole time
6:41 HOLY SHIT it's the "Thy end is NOW!" man
I actually haven't played Ultra kill but a few comments have pointed out the similarities between the two. Maybe it is a reference to that, who knows XD
JUDGEMENT!
PREPARE THYSELF
CRUSH!
"there is nothing redeemable about this character"- and that's what makes him so much fun
Honestly yeah. Maybe the fact that we didn't need to think about the morality of his actions (cause they were obviously evil and twisted) was one of the reasons why just he was so fun to watch in action!
@@nathanjwriting "Let's fuck 'em up!"
Make your audience ride your roller-coaster of emotions.
the part w tecnoblade clip in the start is so cool :D
nvm the WHOLE video is awesome
THANK YOU!!! Yeah even I still rewatch the start occasionally XD. It took a long time to make but I’m super proud with how it turned out and I’m really glad you liked the whole vid. Thank you for watching the whole thing mate 😆😆😆
I love pre monetised channel, they speak the truth without censorship
Well ngl, I honestly would like to be monetised one day XD. In fact, this video blowing up in views has made my channel eligible to start making small money on it. I do believe honesty is super important though and hopefully I maintain that value no matter what. "Hopefully". I would like to think so but we'll see what happens in the future I guess. (Assuming I do become monetise to begin with)
Hell yeah i would sub if continue like that
@@nathanjwriting holy... Congratulations on 250+k and 1000+ subs
I came across Ajin thinking it was a scary manga and tried to "skip to the scary bits', so yeah, that's how I found it XD),
A lot of people in the comments actually agree with you when it comes to the main protagonist.
Your video is so good, you deserve so much more views and subs
Thank you so much mate! This video took way too long to make so I really appreciate those words 😆😆

Only having watched the amine, Sato will forever be my favorite villain. The way he calmly explains how to kill an ajin... the shape of his ghost... ugh, so good
SO GOOD!!! He was so creative and crafty with everything he did. Definitely one of my favourite villains as well.
man u made me cry with the techno part T_T
tears aside great video! i love Ajin and never see it get a lot attention
You got me at that Technoblade intro literally peak cinema ✋🧓✋
18:49 So I looked it up and it's a reference to the show Miami Vice, and the main characters James "Sonny" Crockett and Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs
Another great upload from my favourite Technoblade clips channel.
I didn't expect I would hear the corrupted violin fencer boss theme after so many years
the exploitation and discovering bugs is what also techno literally did
this old dude just never stops at being the true anime technoblade
I know right! I still remember the day Techno broke Minecraft Monday... several times XD. Like the similarities between the two is almost uncanny... I mean, besides the actual killing, of course 😅
This video is super well made and was very fun to watch. Your sense of humor and edits are great.
Thanks so much mate! My sense in humour in real life sucks so I'm glad to hear it's a bit better when it comes to editing, (Probably because I can spend hours crafting each joke lmao). Yeah the edits took a while so I'm super glad to hear you liked it.
The corrupted violin fencer theme was an instant brain activation, I literally jumped on my chair
Really good taste mate, really good taste.
This video is unfathomably heartwarming. Thank you.
9:31 I was not expecting the corrupted violin, but I am always happy to hear it
It's such a good song! I've been using it ever since I first listened to it. I've used it in like three of my videos already and I definitely will use it again in the future XD.
@@nathanjwriting as you should. It is amazing

The teleportation scene is the most badass way I've seen a character use their immortality. Sato the goat
Sato's skyscraper ride was one of the best villain moves ever.
Glad I stumble across this vid, 100% agree that Samuel CARRIED the story as an antagonist. Back when I was in high school my friends urges me to drop Ajin because the main character is shite, but they are missing out on this insanity
Great vid keep up with the good work man 👍
The fact that techoblade would have enjoyed this manga if he ever read it is awesome to have that thought and Samuel might have been his favorite character😂
Side characters and even unnamed characters alike are so badass in their own right, they should get more appreciation imo

I love how you put the gory imagery warning after the intro segment
I was clicked on this video as background audio when I heard technoblade talking. For a moment I thought he actually he was still alive😢
You deserve more bruv
Aww, thank you! 😆

You could of course eyeball it but you will always run the risk of not using enough (too keep them knocked out for long) or using too much or of the anesthetic having an unforeseen effect due to a presently unknown medical condition.
no matter how much time passes, i will never forget tecno
I'm sure he'll never be forgotten for decades to come.
It still hurts to hear his name.
We lost him too early.
We still had soo many journey ahead of us.

Ajin was incredible. One of the funnest first reads ive ever experienced. MR. SOTO IS THE GOATTTT
Couldn't agree more. Probably the funnest action I've ever read in a long while.
OMG I JUST LITERALLY GOT A MINI HEART ATTACK WHEN I HEARD FENCER'S THEME
this is the first time i've heard someone use it lmao
never seen you before but your subscriber count is criminal. love how you edit man keep going
Oh wow, you sound like quite the dare devil. As for me, even If I knew I wouldn't die, I would still be scared of the pain lol XD.
It's been a year... I didn't expect to break down crying so shame on you (love you).
Technoblade NEVER DIES!!
30:37 different artist, first volume had 2 person working on it, after that its just one person who directs and makes all of the manga
That would explain it. When I researched it, other names did pop up but most sources said Gamon so I kinda shrugged it off. But yeah that does explain it. In fact it makes way more sense that what I initially assumed lol, I thought it was just them improving their art lol.
that technoblade comparison is out of left field, but surprisingly apt. I love that guy
He didn’t abuse it, he used it right for the wrong purpose.
Watched the first few minutes of this a few months ago and decided to read Ajin, really good read, video popped back up so time to watch
So it seems he basically made "America good Japan bad" scene right after the anime ended, portraying America treating Ajins way more humanely than Japan.
crazy part is even if they get captured or put in something and can’t die they can just not breathe
The usage of the SECURE CONTAIN PROTECT film is PERFECT for Sato's rampage against the guards. Two metahumans slaughtering facility guards in tandem, that's what I call peak editing.
Sato iss just the best and most enjoyable character in that show. Propped up by the superbly amazing fight choreography the author puts on the page.
The fight choreography was SO GOOD! I said this in the video but it's also super clear to see as well. Like in a lot of manga, the action tends to get messy and hard to see what's happening so huge props to the author, for sure. Sato was such a good character.
Yo I always thought sato was so underrated as a villian, dude is the meaning of shoot first think second, then ask questions when they are dead 😭
Keeping my eye on this channel
And I'll be keeping an eye on your eye that's keeping an eye on... that sentence makes no sense 🤣🤣but yeah, thank you! I'm glad to hear. Videos might take a while to make cause life stuff but yeah I have a list of ideas planed that I really want to make in the future so I'm super glad to hear that. Very encouraging to hear, for sure.
I remember watching Ajin. Despite all the talk about the anime being CGI, it was lots of fun
As someone who read the manga first, I didn't even know it had an anime until I made this video lol. But yeah, from what I heard it doesn't look great in terms of animation but considering the source material, I'm not surprised it was still fun to watch though.
I had a big smile plastered to my face for the whole technoblade section. Thanks for that.
That was me when I was editing it XD. It was a tad bit too long to be honest, but I'm glad you liked it.
YES!~ freaking Sato is amazing as a villain! i wish they finish the anime too.
amazing video! great storytelling!
keep it up mate!
8:43 i think the reason they couldn't use tranqs was because they weren't allowed to let the public know that a private army specially dedicated and designed to detaining demi humans existed.
I saw the Florida Man wood chipper clip. I found this video while trying to find a UA-cam video to fall asleep to.
Suffice it to say, I will NOT be getting sleep tonight.
Ah 😅, yeah... definitely not something you want to think about when going to bed lol XD.
