I have sincerely missed working on my truck!!! Over the past several years of learning my vehicle, I love getting my hands dirty and fixing it. It felt so good to check that leak off the list.
Do you work on your own vehicle?

I do now. Saved myself probably $2000 or more replacing most of the front end onn my '02 Sport Trac (upper/lower control arms, shocks, etc.) brakes, plugs, plug wires. Wasn't just satisfying to save the money, but the feeling of accomplishment was pretty sweet as well.

You make me glad I have a Jeep, but appreciate the Toyota platform too. Props for all the work you are doing.

Mechanics are good people to know.....( nothing is ever as easy as it looks) ....but having the right tools for the job definitely makes things faster!! Pros ( your learning your Tacoma inside out) Kudos

I've learned that there places in some vehicles that you don't want to use gaskets. Your working on one right there! Great job!

I like the fact that you are not afraid of doing the work yourself. Keep up the good work.

Love your new build, and yes we must take care of our inferstructure, "but" it's always the proverbial "rabbithole" when doing these things, long and short of my story is its taken a year and a half for my "project" and "should" be done by spring this year.
Love your content and keep up the good works 💪 👷‍♀️.

Good job resealing everything. I can’t think of other rear axles that you don’t have to fully disassemble to do seals. Pretty normal.

Excited to see this build come to life. New patches v3 coming soon also?? Gotta add it in my headliner next to V2.

You didn't have to disassemble the rear brakes to pull the axles out far enough to pull the 3rd member. There is enough "stretch" in the hard brake lines to allow the axles to move out of the way. Toyota doesn't mention this fact in the service manual. But, a brake fluid flush is never a bad thing.

Good job I love the fact that you get in there and get it done yourself. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Feeling your pain! New build underway here as well and delays from manufacturers has caused some setbacks. Petty in the grand scheme of life but...

Aah unfortunately I'm the wrong person to ask on the fabrication side of it. But I do believe there are forums about it on Tacomaworld.com .

Suggestion. Use Dicor sealant on the antenna install. It’s probably not watertight and you’ll get a leak in the cabin as it is.

The new fin didn't seem to be flush to the roof. Have you tested it again for leaks? I have a 2020 T4R and ran my weBoost antenna wire up through the fin antenna for that clean look. I'm looking to rewire the antenna wire through a solar port on the roof and want to replace the old fin with a new lower profile one also. Do you know if this will fit a 2020 T4R? Love the new build!
