  • The practice of contemplating the parts of the body is one of three core practices for developing mindfulness of the body given in the early Buddhist texts. Like any practice it becomes more and more effective when practiced over time. This version of the body contemplation is drawn from a longer practice which can be found in the Middle Length Discourses of the Buddha, sutta number 10 available on suttacentral.net.
