    An excellent presentation, Tom. Every trader should watch this presentation before they consider placing another trade. 95% of traders fail over time because they don't follow the fundamentals and a viable plan. If you want to be in the successful 5%, watch this video. Many traders can be successful over short periods of time. Real success is to be consistent over a long period of time.

    Well-articulated and instructive video. Nice contrasting of campaign vs. opportunistic tradiing styles (not that you can't do a "blended" style based on current exposure and market conditions). Appreciate the effor that went into this presentation. 👍👍

    When you are looking at the ROI calculator and using 100k are you using 50% buying power of 50k to hit the 2% a month returns?

    Does subscription to the Income Navigator include the trade tracking spreasheets you show in your UA-cam videos (and instructions on how to use them)?

    Hi Tom, why you switched from SL in the width of the PDS to a SL on the naked Puts for 1-1-2?

    I am revising my trading plan to include more 112 trades 120 dte in /ES. My plan is if ES goes up to close the 2 NP for 95% profit. I then planned to leave the remaining PDS on until it went to 95% of the spread between the long and short put as that is what I "thought" your prior videos said. Now I see at 1:04:53 of this video it appears you suggest to close the remaining PDS "at 25% profit or higher to be "adjusted". Can you explain what that means? Maybe an example? for instance if remaining PDS is at 4850/5000 what would be the profit I should look for on that PDS in order to close it? Can you clear up for me what my plan should be on the remaining PDS and when to close it? Thanks in advance. Love the service as well but want to get my plan nailed down for 2024.

    Great video - I'm a bit puzzled about the concept of BP and what it is. I trade with IB, and I believe they use margin requirements by trade compared to Tastytrade, which clearly labels BP. Is there a way to reconcile the two, or are they effectively the same?

    • @steve99912
      @steve99912 Місяць тому +1

      They are the same thing

    • @Pengkui
      @Pengkui Місяць тому +1

      On IB, let's say your Net Liq is $200k, with $120k Initial Margin (IM) and $90k Maintenance Margin (MM). This is analogous to 90/200 = 45% BP usage in Tastytrade: Tastytrade uses MM to calculate BP usage. If you want to stay more cautious (like Tom), you can use IM to calculate 120/200 = 60%. Personally, I lean towards MM and trade bigger when VIX is high (> 25), and use IM and trade smaller when VIX is low (< 15).

    Your compound calculator examples are very very simplistic unless you are trading in an IRA -- per your example if you gave up your job and this is your full-time gig, there are taxes and expenses on top that will take away from the stack. Sure, it is relatively 'easy' to make 2% per month, but unless you are paying expenses and taxes from other sources, it isnt realistic to double your stack every 3 years.

      It's not ez to make 2% a month.
      If it was he wouldn't need your $150 a month.
