Did you drive there or catched a ride?" "Took the bus? Hmm, you want me to pay for an Uber for you?" "No, please. I want to. It's the least I can do for ruining your night." "Okay, good. You catch an Uber, head on home and you forward what it cost then I'll pay for it once I get some free time on my hands." "Yeah, thanks. Sorry again for today." "Will do. You too and be safe." Soon as the call ended I casually plop the phone onto the coffee table with a small sigh of relief before laying back in the couch and stare at the ceiling as my mind was still rolling the recent events with Ali, I start to grin like a love struck idiot over the revelation that we've confessed to each other and gotten closer because of it. My mind rolling back to all of those times when she was bullying me or being mean only now seeing it being her way of expressing her love for me. I let out a small mused chuckle while I shaked my head in annoyance with myself. "God I'm a F***ing idiot..." After letting out one more sigh I gather myself and grabbed the remote to start looking for a movie before Ali returns.
