And doing the same thing as ticket master with venues sitting empty by building apartments etc then renting maybe 20 out of 100 and keeping the price high because it’s less maintenance cost to keep the other apartments vacant while charging 3,000 for a 300 sq foot apartment with no air or heat roof leaks 1 bed room because as a corporation you bought also the slum run down apartments didn’t update or fix anything and hiked prices. Because what do you care if it burns down and people get hurt or worse. You’ll knock down the rubble and build new charging more while not losing a dime . Corporate America can afford to buy everyone a house but rather pay employees shit salaries and rising prices or now they give employees raises still bring in enough to buy America houses with out needing to raise prices but raise them anyways and half Americans even if they work full time are either one accident or illness away from homelessness or are already homeless even with a decent 9 to 5 wage. Sorry lol corporate greed and the politicians who bow to them get me heated. I’m glad they are going after ticket master but what about the others? Say Comcast and Century Link who control all internet pretty much in America keeping prices high when no competition is around.
It’s about time we see a stop to these greedy corporate monopolies be held to account and actually have competition in our market again.

Monopolies should not be allowed to start in the first place. When they start acquiring other businesses and competitors, they achieve momentum that is hard to resist. The consumer loses value for their money and choices are greatly reduced. Good business is based on competition and incentives.

In the 1920s we the people started down the road that ending with our Anti-Trust laws. I remember when the anti-monopoly bill was past in the 70s then Reagan was elected and one of the first things he did was repeal that law. This is why we have all these huge corporations that have consolidated down to just a handful of companies that own everything. The anti-monopoly law needs to be reenacted. There should be no businesses too big to fail, or monopolize any industry.
This is great news for Americans and the prices they pay at events. This is actually happening, this has been a serious issue like for ever.

It is important to remember in cases like this that corporations don't actually do anything - people do things. This may result in the breakup of Live Nation/Ticketmaster and may cost the company money, but it's not going to affect the people who broke the law. Corporate executives need to be held criminally responsible for effectively stealing enormous sums of money from artists, venues, and the American public. Putting these greedy people in prison for years at a time may finally make people think twice before turning the companies they work for into anti-competitive behemoths.

They've got their claws in the scene here in New Zealand too. The irony of having to pay $1600 for six tickets to Pearl Jam for me and my friends was not lost on me. Live nations CEO shouldn't be taking home even ten percent of the hundred and thirty million dollars a year that they do.
This is great, next please address the insanely out of controll cost of home rental. Trailer parks for example shouldn't be charging more per month than a House with a pro-rated mortgage would cost on an acre of land.
