Walked down main capital city yesterday and felt like a foreigner in my own country. Mosque in Talbot Street with gangs of young Muslim men gathering outside. Henry Street, Moore Street full of women in burkas. These people should be in their own countries solving their own problems

@lindalonergan7887 One Hundred percent they are!! The EU pays the Irish government for each migrant accepted into our IPA asylum system. (You may be able to learn the exact €amount with a search. I've seen €8,000 per migrant mentioned.) With further funding when a migrant is permanently settled here, and granted Irish citizenship and passports. EU funding is also provided for migrant health programs, education and work skills training, translators, and other cultural services.
I read a post last year that suggested this 'Migrant Industry' was one of the key 'businesses' keeping the Irish economy afloat! Having been so financially harmed during the covid years. The EU Commission has been pressuring their member countries HARD, VERY HARD, to take their share of migrants, accept their allocated quota. It's a treacherous EU agenda of breaking up national identity in their member countries, including Ireland. You may recall Micheál Martin making a speech in Brussels that the notion of sovereignty in Ireland was a backward looking idea, and a thing of the past! 😤 'Weasel' is one of the nicer words used for him.
Ireland has not been a traditional target country for economic migrants. So the pus-filled Irish government ran a covert ad campaign through Europe 2022-23. Calling out to migrants: "Come to Ireland. Because they didn't have enough vacant housing to meet this promise for all. Though some migrant families have indeed begun their new lives in Irish homes.
