As a perfectionist, I did this many times in my life and achieved successful results. The horrific twist is I ended up exhausted with a lot of anxiety in the process of achieving those goals. Focus, but don’t take it too seriously. t's important to do other things if you don't want to end up burnt out. The brain gets tired too, and approaching tasks in such an obsessive way doesn't bring any good. Sure, you might get the results you want, but at the cost of your mental health

For me what works best is that for one, do not stress about learning something new.I found myself often learning more efficiently if i embraced the fact that i needed this done and that it was okay to fail at first. Then i studied, and recounted what i could remember.I wrote down what i couldnt remember on a seperate paper, went over those then tried this over and over again until i could remember everything.Probably the most that helped and is currently also helping is having the right mindset and also the writing thing.I was amazed at how..easier i found it to remember things if i did write them down atleast twice.Plus making little drawings that explain things much more easily.

And except for my weight I have a fortunate life and my health except for my weight. Which massively impacts my life in all areas. My biggest issue for me. But I haven't lost weight in three years. Not really. I've just set a note to myself for thirty days to do this. Eat sleep will work and tend to my child and pets but the rest of the time I will endeavour to stretch and exercise. Let's see how things are in 30 days. Only I can do this. And it lets me down daily cause I don't feel myself and haven't in years. I need to do it! For me and my child. Sleep. Eat. Train! As they say- if you're smart enough to make excuses you should be smart enough to find solutions!

I’ve only been able to do that with things i’ve found genuinely fun to do because i’m passionate about them. I’m talking about pure obsession. I think we have it wrong, to study something obsessively either takes prior training and an already discipled mind, such as being a literal monk. If you don’t have that, i’d think one of the better solutions is to find what you love and let that take over. Follow your excitement as it’s said.

True brother. While Christ reminds us that the real world and the real enemy is in the spiritual it does manifest itself here in the physical so there is a very real battle here on earth to be fought.
They don't bring it up that much cause the church has done a good job of watering down Jesus Christ's true attitude but he was very much what we would consider "monk-like". He was very disciplined and very masculine. He was kind and loving when required and also strict and unmovable when required.
The world uses so many examples of people from history on how we should live our lives when literally there is no one better to follow than Jesus Christ. They will cite stoics, monks, philosophers, professors, yet they never mention Jesus Christ.
They don't want to bring up Jesus Christ because his name requires much more than just a lifestyle change. It requires more than meeting a goal. It's a continuous denial of yourself and your own desires and 100% service to Lord Christ with faith that he and he alone will provide for what you need.
It's more than just maintaining a structured discipline life. I did that in the Marine Corps and when I left the Marine Corps so did my purpose. Jesus Christ was meant to be my purpose. Luckily he found me.

I believe the quickest way to learn a language is to actually use it, yea study grammar and understand how it works, but using the language you're learning beats any traditional learning with an open book in front. Is not always productive to just study non stop, our brain gets tired too and the focus decreases in time. An university professor made an entire lesson on *How to study* and he said that the maximum level of focus is the first 40 minutes to an hour, after which the focus starts to decrease. He said that if you want to study efficiently, after an hour, take a break, do something you enjoy, a hobby, to relax your mind and then you go back to study for another 40 to 1 hour. Doing this will increase the *quality* of the study and the brain retains much more information, quicker. I applied this method of learning and I actually noticed a difference in the quality and quantity of the information I would remember the next day, a week after that, a month after that. I passed all my exams with maximum. I used to think that if I studied non stop, I would learn more, can't waste time. Instead I would study from noon to 10 pm then go to sleep, and the next morning again studying all the way to school, not only I felt exhausted but also stressed and the information would scatter. I would forget. My mind was tired and I didn't give it a break.

Best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in it not to read a book. I know that because I have done it 2 times in my life studying from a book can get you only so far . The real way is to be surrounded with poet that speak this new language and you will learn it from them.

Truest comment I've seen yet. Been studying Levantine Arabic 5 years and within the Levant still there's regional accents and major differences in word usages between countries only a few hours apart from each other using the same "language".
Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq all use Levantine dialect.. But all sound noticeably different and it's different than listening to a British person and someone from the USA. The usage of words and phrases and inflection is even more different the more you study it.
And don't get me started on trying to speak to an Egyptian because they use a different dialect as well.. And let's not forget MSA which is the base of all Arabic dialects but is a different language entirely.
Due to many factors including Covid and the tensions and conflicts overseas, I'd still be in Lebanon now which is the most different dialect because they use half French half Lebanese words and the same with English. It's an unbelievable place and you'd understand why I started to learn the language.. It would literally change your life forever going there and being welcomed in like family.
But sometimes the best things in life come through pain and suffering. I can't immerse myself in the language there anymore but the desire lives with me and I still study to this day and have close connections there.
It's important to know many people that speak your target language.

This might work for some, but what helped me learn Japanese without taking any class until the end, was being stationed there for 4 years and being immersed. Going to a restaurant forces you to learn that dialogue which branches out the more you explore. I enjoyed rural Japan much more being able to read a couple kanji I recognized from menu’s to get the gist of what’s being displayed. Then I took a class and learned specifics. Conjunctions, how to tense verbs, etc. to gain a better understanding of why and how. This is exactly how children learn language too.

I wanted to add that every language can be separated as; text book language and day to day. You learn text book language in school, but nobody really talks like that. We use slang, context, and other ways to make what we’re trying to say more efficient. I read a study once that on a day to day basis, we typically only use about 20% of our vernacular. Being able to converse comfortably in this fashion is what makes a person fluent. Not memorizing vocabulary for 30 days.

Some people are missing the point, he’s not saying to literally replace your job with the development of something new. Let’s say the average 30 year old Joe watches TV after his 9-5 job. That time watching TV could be used to learn how to create a business. But he instead wants that constant “fun” in his life, which screws him over in the long run; keeping him average instead of on top. If you want to constantly spritz some instant gratifications you can do it, no one’s stopping you. But it wastes precious time toward your plan or development, forcing you to stick with that 9-5.

From my experience and seen so many examples I advise, Don’t do this type of preparation, attitude could be dangerous for health, take it easy, give few more hours of your day & don’t push hard. Some people get brain haemorrhage and died, some developed depression and other mental illnesses.

I think it's really important to know the way other languages use their vowels. That makes learning other languages easier to learn along with the discipline you speak of! ❤❤❤👍

Life is a marathon not a sprint! Done this and on short term goals it works but in bigger acheivements it will leave you depressed and burn you out. Ps kt takes more than 30 days to learn any language, you should have fun with it
