If You Are To Bloom sounds so amazing here . Thank you for posting this.
What a champ!
I hate it too is for sure on of my favorite songs and one hell of a song to end on
I Hate It Too needs to be heard by every pair of ears on Earth.
fucking right dude, one of my favorites in the whole record a long with i'd like your hair long
@@dyr234 Little Dipper is fire too, these my favorite by far from Hum.
New age hum fan here, god I wish I could’ve seen them live 😢
I was at this show. My chest hurt from the volume. I talked to Bryan after the show and my hand to God his hands were bleeding.
This was one of my top five LOUDEST CONCERTS i have ever been to,(I taped this show)
That's what's up, He hit em so hard ❤️
Around the time that the pod starts you can see Matt put in earplugs lol
That's an amazing story. The drumming is wild
and somehow the vocals are so clear, more than nearly every other hum bootleg. its a miracle
Rest in Peace Bryan, monster drummer.
Did he scare you??
this is a HIGHLY underrated band.
Yep.
To this day
Nope. I know plenty of musicians who adore and some who just about worship this band.
Man music means the world to me, its the main reason I like being alive and Bryan's drumming reminds me why I love music so much. He's a super hero back there! Rip to one of the goats.
It seems like I never get tired of listening to this band. 😁
Truth....
I hope they find someone decent enough to honour Bryan, and to somehow carry on. Inlet was as good an album as I've heard in the last 30 years.
Same. Nothing hits like HUM…
@@flashknockdown7271i think a lot about if ben russin played with hum instead of citizen
it's just pure raw magic that Bryan St. Pere and Tim Lash happened to end up in the same band...
St Pere... one of the greatest rock drummers to come out of the 90's 🚀😎💥
even though he didnt play all the biggest stadium rock shows, I would argue he is even one of the best rockdrummers EVER :D
@@deathkampdrone Jimmy Chamberlain, Neal Peart, Matt Cameron, and Danny Carey say hi
FINALLY get to watch the drummer play songs ive never seen him play. oh man. these guys are the soundtrack to my sad life.
R.I.P. Bryan St. Pere. He really was the anchor of this band.
🚀😢🤺 RIP Bryan St Pere, one of the most creative & extraordinary musicians of the 90's. Huge personal influence. If you drilled deep inside my core, your boring machines would all burn out bc my heart beats HUM
An extraordinary band. 1 of 1.
I absolutely adore that Matt says “This one is my favorite” right before they play Axolotls since that is seriously my favorite song of all time. 😁
They have a master in soundscapes, the whole thing is massive, noisy and beautifull chillin' sounding overall. They deserve more credit.
I was there with my brother (age 16 & 14) in the lower left corner of the frame. Thank you for filming and uploading this set, as it made a life-altering impression on us as musicians and fans. 🙌
One of the best drummers of all time in my opinion
As a teenager in California I would hear about shows at the Fireside bowl and get xeroxed mailers from bands with this venue on their tour. It's crazy to see this in film. Looking at images of the fireside, you can see the corner where bands used to play - full of racks of bowling balls. Crazy!
‘I hate it too’ is the song of the century.
This was the first Fireside show I ever went to
So many heroic performances here.
Hum as always deliver the goods.
The individual who did sound for this show.
The individual who recorded this gig.
Security for preventing a possible scrap in the front row.
The audience for being engaged the whole way through.
So good. 🤘🏻
people didn't really understand it then ...not grunge like nirvana and soundgarden and whatever the f after grunge rock was ...soft stuffs like third eye blind and eve 6 was....this stands as it's own with failure ..in a pocket that existed for such a short window..and then again in 2015 for another short window and last year with the new album..and again mainstream ears didn't know what they were listening to...still too far into the future like some time portal hoppers we werent ready for over the last 40 years with them popping in and out to see if the masses got it yet.the passing of Bryan St Pere makes me realize how fortunate i was to get to see them come back around like a comet ....you can clearly see how talented he was ...possibly my fave drummer ..rip
The drumming on The Pod is ridiculous. Damn.
Man, I would've loved to see them play a small venue like this. I've seen them live a handful of times but nothing small like this show. Those people really got their moneys worth that night. Rock in peace BSP
RIP Bryan. You'll forever be missed
Rest In Peace Bryan, you will be dearly missed. 🙏🤘
I think the thing that makes Hum incomparable is the grandeur of their music, the way it can shift from evoking the intimate and personal to the vast and impersonal within the same song. I find the frailty of Matt's voice juxtaposed with the guitars, which are so huge they seem to encompass the vastness and eternity of space, to be so emotionally affecting. He's a common man staring into space and his small concerns become somehow of cosmic significance.
Woah! Matt shreds in scraper!
This is one of the finest aged live performances, ever!!!
Bsp, one of the all time greats. Will never be forgotton.
23:27 Bryan seemed like the nicest guy, not to mention the explosive power he possessed behind the kit.
To the guy at 56:37 who yelled "I've been waiting two years", oh you sweet summer child.
Bryan St. Pere is a drum god.
Bradd Scharping hes really cool too
Drum Ninja!
Heavy hitter, very creative, love listening to guys who make rock drumming interesting, too much of it is too straight-forward, he really mixes things up. Thanks for your wonderful drumming, Brian!
Rest in Peace Bryan :(
@@zararity This sucks.
Wow never saw this video what a treat
So much talent.
If You Are to Bloom played live just transcends
It's one of my favorite songs ever...by any band.
RIP Bryan. What an incredible loss...
I wish this drummer was still playing with the band. Although the guy they have now is obviously talented, this guy just has an aggressive snap to his playing that's just not duplicated by the current guy.
D Jefferson Bryan is back in the band. Saw them live last November and it was this same line up.
heard the new album?
24:21 fucking incredible drums, rest in peace Bryan
Goddamnit, I need Doc's flux capacitor. RN.
What an incredibly special group of people. Thank you, Hum. RIP, Bryan.
Holy hell that run through of Scraper...
i am the guy jamming at the front of the hum show
shhh, im the guy taping this video....
My god! Thank you for this!!! Bryan is just another level of drummer!
Absolutely phenomenal and before their time.
Rest in peace BSP, you'll live on as a legend taken too soon
Wow! I was here! I was 19! Holy cow im old! Thank you for the upload!
that axolotls intro tho
I'm kind of disappointed that Axolotls doesn't have that intro now.
hum picked off where the pumpkins last finished. all though hum was around 90-91 but i'm just saying is all.
No offense to Smashing Pumpkins, but Hum is way better, IMO. Hum has an unique sound, Pumpkins are all over the place thematically. They're a bi polar band. They're heavier stuff is great, but few and far between a bunch of mediocre bleh.
@@braddscharping4312 well unfortunately bands change over the years, and its not about who is better I love both bands just the same despite of change or style. Im a huge early pumpkins fan and I understand what you mean, but progression is good in music it just depends what type of artist you are and what your goal is.
@@braddscharping4312 I got bored of deciding who is a better artist and band, because they are all good. Dinosaur jr, violent soho, failure, smashing pumpkins, swerve driver, early verve, HUM and so on.
If You Are To Bloom sounds so amazing here . Thank you for posting this.
Thanks for posting this, sound quality is surprisingly really good!
I love the intimacy of this show. It's really cool. Man I wish they could've got to UK back then. Maybe there's still hope!?
This is simply epic. These guys are on another level.
2 years later American football would play at the same venue
Lived down the street from here for a whole year and never but 2+2 together that it was *the* fireside bowl. Pretty sure my roommate and her bf went bowling there a few times even haha. Anyways Hum is great.
one of the only times they played If You Are To Bloom
Damn. RIP Bryan
Glorious vid, thanks for posting.
I’m so mad I never got to see Hum live
this video is so great!
So damn good
This is gold, thanks for uploading
Thank you for uploading this amazing peformance
Hope see them live some day. Now they got a new album.
Охуенная группа. Жаль мало Live записей.
God is in my head and I am fuckin wide awake
Thanks for posting!
GAH DAMN!
Happy birthday Bobby!
Rip Bryan
Love a good choke!
Stars @ 23:00 ✨️
Fuck yeah
One of my all time favorites. I never got to see them live. Fuck this rocks!
I wonder if Jeff Bruebach was at this show.
Bad Ass! 🤘🏻🥁
What's with the middle finger??
It’s on
Crowd should be moshing more
Hum needs some reverb on the vocals live to fill out their sound
It was the 90s.
This comment needs some reverb on it
non sense riff rock...but it was a good start!!!
Bryan absolutely killed it here. He’ll be sorely missed.
Absolutely crushed me when I found out he passed, such an underrated drummer has inspired me in so many aspects of drumming
@@CodyThomas-xy5xiWhat was his rating?
he did
I'd Like Your Hair Long guitar breakdown thing never gets old...
Thank you for posting .
Fantastic and historical.
RIP Bryan.
Glad to found this one!!
Thank you very much for the footage bro..
A very rare but important (Glad not found this one on 456 nonsense!!) :)
