- Supermarket Simulator continues and, I'm sad to say, unexpectedly concludes, but not before we welcome our second employee, Jeff!
Jeff stocks our shelves, which is very helpful indeed. Granted he doesn't like to take the boxes from the road and put them into the storeroom, we still have to do that as he just stands outside and stares off into the middle distance, but once those boxes are in the store he's absolutely all over the restocking job!
Jeff is also quite impressive in that he uses the Force to unpack the items in the boxes. Fancy!
To help us afford Jeff we take out some loans to expand the shop, buy some more product licences, install some more fridges and get lots more stock!
However, as mentioned earlier, our look at Supermarket Simulator is indeed concluding due to an unfortunate game breaking bug or glitch or issue, which is a shame because we never got to make the gigantic tea aisle, but there we go. It's Early Access, sometimes things go wrong!
So farewell Betty's Bargains, cheerio Bernard and Jeff, and Christmas Jumper Guy, wherever you are, call me, OK?

My theory: Christmas jumper guy was in witness protection, hence all the FBI type customers. They were there to keep an eye on him.
You putting posters up around the neighbourhood threatened exposing him & jeopardised their case so they had no choice and had to shut Betty’s Bargains down.
Shame the save crashed like that. Was really enjoying the laid back vibe of casually running a market. Maybe one day we can return and see how much it improves in the future.
Apparently there will come a big update. most likely in June, 1 of the thing is that the restockers will help bring things in. Customization, optimization, a better way to see how your shop is doing ++. Hopefully you can make a return to the game when that updates comes out, hopefully in a few weeks time.

I bought this game from watching this series it's very addictive time goes by without my noticing. Christmas Jumper (Father Christmas) comes into my store regularly lol

I'm pretty sure the Christmas jumper guy moved 3 times to get away from the stalking. Now he's in witness protection and moved towns.😂
Ah, well, now you're saying stalking, I feel I was a concerned citizen looking after a valued member of the community.
Getting the stock room door open should really be a priority, as going in and out of the shop to fetch stock soon becomes a pain, as you get more and more items to sell. Also, keeping at least one of each box spare is also a must, as you're going to want to rearrange your stock once you start getting more and more items. The re-stocker(s) only take boxes from the racks in the stock room to place on the shelves in the shop, either returning what's left back onto the rack in the store room, or if the box it empty, to the bin outside. They always stand outside the shop when not occupied. When you get all 4 of them, they kind of look a bit menacing as they stand there, to be honest! As you've discovered, you need enough space on the store racks to accommodate your stock, and if you replace the item with another, whilst it's being carried by the re-stocker, he goes into a bit of a sulk, holding the box outside until you provide him with a space to put it. He's like that, I'm afraid. A good worker, but rather temperamental at times.
The shelving on the rack can allow you to stock more than one item, depending on the size of the box. The largest ones only allow one, whereas depending on the size of the smaller ones can allow either 2, 6 and 27!
A shame the game has, not only crashed, but has managed to corrupt your game save. It is a pain having to start again, but if you don't want to continue on with it.. 🤷♂
oh no! I'm so sad that it had to end this way. this was one of my favorite series on the channel. I will say that you (and then Dave WeeHours) inspired me to download and play the game and I've been having a lot of fun playing it myself. I did have some issues with the Restocker getting stuck at one point, but I just saved and quit to the main menu and it was fixed. at any rate, thank you so much for another wonderful series, Penge! 😄

There's a fine line between concerned citizen and stalker and you're getting fairly close to it with regards to Christmas jumper guy. It's too bad the game broke, but I would like to see it again when it is further along in development. Hopefully, they'll add the ability to customize the banner on the store and your restocker will go inside,
I'm not sure if you could take a save game you made and try overwriting the autosaved one to see if that might work.

ouch! That would hurt me, losing a save file like that....
The reason we refrigerate eggs in the US is that the eggs are washed. Washing removes a natural protective membrane that inhibits bacteria from passing through the shell. Many in the US who raise their own chickens might not refrigerate their eggs. My great-aunt would keep them on the counter for a few days. But most US consumers would be grossed out by unwashed eggs. And I'm sure there's some USDA regulations as well.
As I understand it selling unwashed eggs is against federal law (and if you want to sell eggs out of state there are other laws) so to stay legal you have to have some sort of mutual gifting system in place.

It was indeed a Noooooo!! moment! But I don't think we'll start again, it'll just be the same thing over and over again. It was winding down anyway, as fun as it is there's not really that much to do in the game and it took a loooong time to record! So alas we must move on to other things.
with the mods, they give the game a boost. but the mod are not made by the dev.
