Ive done a lot of fast fade haircut competitions in the past and the best advice I can give is get it out of your mind that you are going to do a perfect haircut. Cause its not going to be perfect. Instead focusing on it being good or really good (no lines or obvious dark spots etc). If you have that in your mind you automatically will focus on the bigger details rather than worrying about the small ones. The small details you leave for after you line the person up. Why? Because those small details stand out way more once you put a outline on the haircut. It will be easier to spot and nitpick. Also by doing the details at the end you have more of a complete haircut done already. So if you need to let the customer out the chair because your next customer is there you already have a good haircut in front of you that you can stop on. Instead of spending the whole time trying to make the fade perfect and then you still have to line them up, you still gotta do the top, you still havent razored them, you havent touched their beard yet. Its a lot more stressful knowing how much more you have to do. It also lets you take a break from the blend and readjust your eyes to other areas and then go back to it. If you trying to do a 15min haircut. You better be lining the person up already after 8-10minutes. The rest of the time you use to go back and detail as much as possible until your time is up or if you in the shop until you clean up all the details you wanted to get. Believe it or not you will end up doing a good cut in 15minutes or less that is very passable in the barbershop. Good method also is to time yourself with your phone or a watch. Try to beat your previous time each time.
@@nusense808if you’ve never picked up clippers before then don’t talk bro. this is not easy , it’s not for everyone. And some take longer than others to get to where they need to be
If your using whal guards you. Only need the half guard and 1 1/2 if your using andis the 1. Guard and half is all you need the rest can be clipper over comb
Nice cut only a half hour haircut at Max honestly if you're an experienced Barber you know this. I get any hair cut out in a half hour. But I have 15 years in Man too. Clipper over comb key💪🏼💈🏁
JRLs are best for quick cuts because they open more than your regular wahl. Blends well too, i started off with the masters and only used the 1 gaurd for all my cuts, i bought the jrl onyx and it was game over i just use the 1 gaurd with it as well the jrl is a much better clipper. Long battery life, quiet, opens more, and has 2 speeds, blends just like my masters or even better
lately ive been taking 2 hours for a full adult haircut fade, cut on top and beard etc but the toher day i did 5 haircuts in 3 hours.. all 5 didnt havent a beard but the last one ....its weird
@@Btpjayhe means with fading up you get very clear area’s in which you blend without going up to far. With fading down you depend more on your experience since you can easily go to high up in an already blended area. I prefer blending down as well tho…
@@joses3059 to be honest you just have to know where you set your lines, and being very light on your clippers so you don’t dig in. Think about how the harder you press a pencil the darker it becomes, so keep your clipper at a 45 degree angle when fading numbers like 1,1.5,2,3 and up, the guideline is the only time u should really be trying to dig out
@Dreclipperhands if you don’t mind, which exact guards did you get for the JRL, I know they aren’t original and I don’t like my originals, but I like the colors of the guard set that you have like the red for the one guard and the white for the one and a half guard. So if you don’t mind telling me, do you know exact guard set that is, so I could purchase it on Amazon?
I'm not doing know ones hair in 15mins, Reason being I'd rather give myself the right amount of time to perform quality work without the rush unless I'm being asked to personally I don't want my clients feeling rushed. I think 30 to 40mins is sufficient for most cuts bro 🤔

Fading down works the best for me, did 15 cuts in 5 hours🙏🏾
No lines makes it fast and easy
I have a problem knowing how high to go up on the next lower guard

Nice bro but that ain’t no quarter inch or half inch that’s more than a whole inch
Afro hair is way easier to cut faster imo. Straight hair takes more work/steps.

For someone with your experience , to do a cut that it's "pre-done" and line up in 20 min it's super easy ... That is not a hack ...
Lik
Well this haircut is already done just needed a touch up and no beard
Do a transformation cut in 20 mins then I’d be impressed
Yea I cut too
