      Dark Energy is 3D space bleeding into our 3D universe from a 4D space. Like a 3D sphere going through paper, any 2D organism on that paper would see a circle appearing out of nowhere, changing in length and then disappearing. Similarly, 4D space is constantly going through our 3D paper causing us to think that space is appearing out of nowhere. There is no energy involved since this is coming from outside our 3D universe.

    It was explained to me as the energy similar to that of a vacuum, with a caveat.
    In a vacuum, material is pushed in to fill it as matter and energy attempt to equalize into homeostasis.
    With dark energy, the vacuum is in fact dragging the material into it.
    As such, if the universe is represented by finite material in a dense ball, dark energy is the force pulling on that matter in all directions into an infinite empty void around it; the more the matter expands, the more is "touching" the void by surface area, the more can be dragged out, thus causing the acceleration into nothingness.

      @@terrylloyd9824They have indeed found evidence for it everywhere they've looked in the entire universe.

      @terrylloyd9824 Рік тому

      @@fulalbatross no there's no real evidence, there's something they don't understand but it doesn't mean it's dark energy, one day it's coming from the vacuum of space the next day they can think it's coming from black holes because of some minor discrepancy and their data, how do we know that the space itself just isn't stretching more making it appear as though things are accelerating away, so no they haven't tested the vacuum of space and another galaxy they just watched something move a little bit.

    The cosmological constant, representative of dark energy in GR, does change. It changes a lot, actually. This man just dismissed the single biggest problem in physics, as if it doesn't exist.

    Space must have a tension or a pressure in it. When gravitational waves warp space, something must be trying to flatten it out again. You can't warp space if it's just mush - something must be there to be warped, and something must be there to cause the flattening.
