  • A friend of mine received a terminal cancer diagnosis. She is charismatic, caring, and has the biggest heart. Deb’s wish was to create a large installation with her balloon friends and by doing so give back to the community she lives in. She conceived the idea to create a large balloon build project inspired by the Lewis Ginter Conservatory in Richmond, USA. We completed the project at the Regency Square Mall last weekend.
As many individuals online have said, this project is being done purely for love. All of the artists covered their own costs. Families sacrificed time to make sure many of us could be there too. Many couldn’t make it to the event, but sent their financial support to the project as well. Deborah is a brilliant woman. She has helped many of us with our businesses and inspired us with her designs and business skills and she has also been a steadfast friend.
Balloons are much like life, temporary yet magical. Hug someone you care about close today. Life is precious and sometimes far shorter then we want it to be, yet it can be filled with so much joy.

We have a treasure to remember her by. It certainly isn't the same, but at least we have records and solid memories.
