Thanks!!! This was a really good bunch of twisters to play with. There were two members of Canada's Twisted Five, Glen LaVally as the ogre and Kristal Grace in her dress before we had formed, as well as Conrad the Unicorns designer Carolynn Hayman as the Tikie character. Also appearing Brian Getz as Groot, and Walter Crum as the Cat in the Hat, and myself as the Penguin. This incredible day is permanently etched in my mind, and frankly it was just a pile of random chance that made it all happen. Those are the best moments.
Roughly 8 feet. Width was a bit challenging getting through doors.
I've made lots of characters, however I put a lot of time into Gertrude where I can use less balloons but more complicated techniques ua-cam.com/video/d5RuW1xAthU/v-deo.html . She is fully animated with eyebrows and voicebox. Other characters like Rudolph get excellent results. ua-cam.com/video/RHpeMKXLI0I/v-deo.html They are worth the time for the right event.
Thanks! The penguin was my first costume. There's a lot I would do differently, mostly with cleaning up the head and face. I think he was around 7 feet tall. I have some ideas on other characters that will be created in the future. Much of my development time over the last six months has be spent with a brand new balloon show.
No name for the penguin at the moment. Something with significant wings would be fun. A falcon would be a great character to play with.
LOVE the time lapse. Great overview of all the work that went into that awesome creation of Kayloth. Just brilliant work, as always. Great turnout too. Lucky the weather changed in your favour. Glad to have seen it all in person. A not-to-be -missed once a year event!
