Thx man! Wish this was available late last night lol. Transformed mine last night and am now puzzled on what I have to do 1st if I wanna convert him back to bot mode lol. The translucent peg that connects the 2 halves of the car isn't a good feeling.
@@i.still.function3463 Hahaha actually I was trying to get it posted last night. I had it ready to post at like 11pm last night but for some reason, I kept having issues loading it to UA-cam. It took me until this morning to get it loaded. As for the translucent pegs that hold the center together, I wish they would have went with stronger not translucent pegs.
@@toydojo lol I was trying sleep but kept thinking about transforming it and would've rather waited for a video but I out my big boys pants in and gave it a try and about 50mins later was done. Lol now I want it back in bot mode Hahah
@@i.still.function3463 Hahahaha! I'll tell you what, I'm going to make a video just showing his transformation back to bot mode. It'll be my pleasure. Give me a few hours and I'll have it up.
9:30 The Sunbow scale chart and the first Stunticon episode, "The Search for Vector Sigma", did make the Stunticon limb bots far taller than the Autobot Carbots. The limb bots stood up to Motormaster's shoulder in the Vector Sigma chamber. However, in every episode after that in which they appeared, the Stunticon limb bots were reduced to Autobot Carbot height. So I went with XTB for the correct scale in the majority of the episodes. Initially, the hood vents seem to indicate that FT wanted this to be a Ferrari 308 GTB Quattrovalvole (just like the G1), but numerous details reveal that they actually changed the car mode for this figure to the 288 GTO Turbo. They made it into the wrong car. FT messed up the vents on the rear deck. Then they also messed up by adding 4 auxiliary lights under the front bumper, which wasn't an option on any of the Ferrari 308 trim lines. The 308 GTB QV only had 2 aux lights under the front bumper, and not 4. The real 308 wheels were just silver, and not chrome. Those 3 Adidas stripes behind the rear wheels weren't on the factory 308. And what is all that junk under the back bumper, ala Maketoys Jazz? XTB and DX9 get most of the car details right for a 308 GTB QV, except they extend the vent lines to behind the engine cover box on the back deck, when all that should terminate together on one line on a 308 QV. This vent pattern is inconsistent on 308's though, so they both fall within a correct range. I love the lighter gunmetal gray of XTB, but it should have been darker like DX9 to match the G1 toy and toon. XTB added the gold center caps to the wheels, which bore the Ferrari logo on the real deal, exactly like real 308. So XTB won out overall for me.
Depends on which episode for the chest. Some episodes show the chest white with no gray and in others it is gray in that middle section. I think season 3 it is gray..
Hmmm very interesting. I always go to the episode where they were created as my go to when trying to figure out what accuracy is needed. However, you know as well as I do, the 80s cartoons were filled with many inaccuracies lol. Thanks for pointing that out to me and for watching:)

I took a chance and transformed mine Lastnight and the upper part was Cake but the lower part was giving me troubles especially when you peg the front half of the cat to the back end of the car as i was confused on where it was suppose to peg too. Also on that area IM TOTALLY NOT A FAN OF THE TRANSLUCENT (material) they used to peg it into bc we all know how fragile that Translucent piece is. I'm actually in fear of Transforming it back as the transformation got confusing @ times and will probably just leave them in Car mode to get ready for Menasor.
Yeah the translucent pegs are not ideal for sure. They could have used different ones there in my opinion. If you'd like, I can make a video just transforming him back to bot mode and put it up tonight. It would be my pleasure to do so.
Hi. Epykk Dysastr (I don't think that's his real name) gave a tip regarding that in his video for The Chosen Prime. I'm only interested in helping somebody transform their figure without damaging it. I don't live in the US, so have never used TD or TCP. Any company that sells Transformers *and* puts out videos to help people transform them is very cool.
CONGRATULATIONS to you and your wife on getting married! I am liking the Fans Toys' take on the G1 Stunticons. The Magnum (Wildrider) Stunticon is looking great! Thank you for reviewing this figure.
Hahaha yes! Back and sober on this channel for sure! Thank you for your congratulatory remark on my marriage. I met my soulmate and couldn't be happier 😊Adam and I need to make a comeback on our other channel for sure!
Disappointing that they seem to have just decided not to care about engineering a good "backpack" transformation, considering they are known for such sophisticated engineering.
Magnum's paint is just as good if not better than Flipout. Henry's isn't too bad but you can see where the red and grey blend into each other in spots which make it look not as clean.
I will eventually replace my original Menasor with one of the deluxe versions. Thanks for the review, it will help me decide. I don't mind that the robots are different heights if the cars are the same. If the cars are different, then the scale is wrong. If the robot heights are different that just shows a variation in height (like ya know people are).
You're welcome and I'm glad my review helps :). I like my stunticons to be on the taller side in bot mode. I think Takara made their car bots too small in the bot mode but right in the car mode. To me, that's why I think FT got it right. Their bots are tall and their cars fit the Has/Tak cars.
Great video. U are right, Fanstoys makes a good product. I feel they are the best hands down. Just bought dx9 Atilla for combine mode and going to have Fanstoys for robot mode. Can’t wait to complete 😃

Have to admit that the DX9 isn't a bad figure, but they really screwed up on some stuff IMO. His chest is all sorts of weird with that hinge, his torso is oddly lean from the side, and it's like his head had the back quarter lopped off or something.
Ha ha ha you know I didn't even think about the head on DX9 until I read your comment. I then went back to the video and saw what you mean. I think what gives it that look is the fact that they put the hinge on the back of the head with a pin in it. Because of that, there is a drop off which makes the head look funky from the back. Good call out lol.
Ft’s plastic is always cheaper on fanstoys. Feels good. But is so brittle with zero give. That’s why they always break more so then any other company. Overpriced. But still worth getting. I don’t think fanstoys is that great of a company anyway. IMO
Hmmm that's an interesting take on FT. I am thankful that I have never had any issues with breakage with my FT figures. I have all their figures with the exception of Weirdwolf and Mindwipe. I think early on, they were just meh but I feel the figures have gotten better with time. I just wish FT as a company would allow for review samples instead of waiting until a figure is released. It is unfortunate that they don't because then a collector cannot make a call on whether they want to pre-order a figure or not.
I have a higher percentage of issues with fanstoys than any other manufacturer. They do have the best looking sculpt for sure. But there is a cost for that. transforming them is always nerve wracking due to the design compromises they make to get those sculpts and proportions.
Yeah that is the feel by a lot of collectors. I guess it all boils down to personal preference. For me, I like it just because I feel Megatron would have wanted to make his team larger than the Autobot cars so they could be more fierce looking. Well that's at least what I am going with in my head lol.
