I wish they brought back Sullust, Scarif and Bespin (the Walker Assault map). All those rebel and imperial skins would be great too. There's a lot of content I would like to see again in BTF2.

Yeah or make shock trooper skins for the empire and the nice rebel marine skin for the Rebels. The rebel marine is like a mix between star wars and Vietnam era American uniforms and I love it. while it won't save much time, I still feel like it'd be worth porting over the trench run, scarif, and the large jakku map from 2015, just because they were great maps, and even if it took the same amount of time, i'd still say it would be worth it. the first and last battles of the galactic civil war really need to be added to MP and instant action. And the trench run just deserves to be in the game, it's such an iconic scene. at least port over Scarif and the trench run, since they were never added to offline, and finding a match on them is nearly impossible

If they can bring over the Death Star and Scarif Dlcs, I imagine nearly everyone would be satisfied because its nearly impossible to play them on Bf2015
We still could though, that map would work amazing for OT CS/IA (If we get OT CS/IA). That map, sorosuub pipelines (sullust), and landing pad 13 (scarif) would be great additions to BF2. They would also all be those planets first time being a large scale map in BF2.
The one thing I will say in defense of porting old maps over making new ones is this - the old maps ruled!! Both the release maps and the DLC maps are amongst my favorite all-time video game maps. Porting them over would give GA some replayability while adding some really cool options for CS (I can think of at least 3 Bespin maps that would make great CS content, much less the rest of BF2015's maps). The big complaint people had with BF2015 not having proper offline DLC support was that those maps would never really be played on again, and that's definitely true if they decide not to port those old maps over. All in all, I guess we should just cross our fingers that BF2 will be around for a while so that the team can do a mix of creating new awesome content and porting over their already awesome old content.
Sullust Dropzone was amazing, so much fun, even the Tatooine drop-zone with the sarlacc pit was great. Actually, I think all around the maps in BF 2015 were fantastic, like the Bespin maps, Scarif and Jakku.
Battlefront 2's gameplay is so much better than in battlefront 1 That's the main reason why I love this game so much It feels like a better Version of battlefront 1 with alot more content

As much as that all makes sense, I'd still love to see DICE (eventually) port over all of the old maps from Battlefront 1, and its DLC expansions, including all of the unique Offline BF1 maps
I kinda miss the old Heroes that didn't make it to the game though. Dengar is also a Clone Wars Hero too, so he can be paired with any possible future CW Heroes or OT Heroes.

I honestly feel bad for this guy. He's clearly giving it his all. And is making miracles happen with very limited resources. I know this game is glitchy as hell. But I still respect this man for even trying at this point.
As long as it’s iconic enough it would still be exciting to see content return/be remade. I think a map like the carbon freezing chamber would generate plenty of excitement considering how legendary the location is. And skins like the Rebel Pilot for example.

Yeah, looking back at BF1, some of the models were not that good anymore, so porting them straight aways was not the wise decision. The only thing i do like better in BF1 was the presentation of the hud and menus, it was more polished and eye candy that bf2 honestly.
If they could add two maps form Battlefront 1 I'd want Bespin and Scarif. I love the jungle maps in Battlefield 4 and playing on Scarif would be cool again

Glad to see a more in-depth explanation on why they can't just bring anything from BF2015 over to BF2. Though, with their current point of view of 'the key to going forward: respect the past', this shouldn't be off the table. One reason there are a large group of "BF2015 loyalists" who don't care for BF2 is because they gave us experiences and characters we fell in love with and most of that was not carried over. I'm not saying BF2 should have been a carbon copy of the first. However, Battle Station (playing R2D2, Trench Run), Drop Zone, Droid Run, Walker Assault... all experiences you can't have in BF2. Your 'ways to play' in BF2 are pretty limited - CS, GA, HvV... or Blast/Strike/Extraction if you don't want heroes involved. One of the best parts of BF2015 was the varied gameplay options - from weapons, to loadouts, to modes. Awesome playlists like Bespin, where you cycle through multiple modes (Sabotage, Blast, Drop zone, Walker Assault, etc). It never really gets stale. BF2 still lacks this, in my opinion. Infusing some BF2015 experiences/content I think could go a long way in improving it.
The old hoth map was a lot better then the current one. Luke’s face looked a lot better in 2015 and that Chewbacca model was horrendous. Whoever designed that and allowed that to be played should be fired permanently.
Their Frostbite engine must really really suck 2 to 3 weeks is all the time they save by porting over previous maps. It's a good looking but terribly developed engine. Jesus.

I think he and the development team completely misunderstood that fans were asking for bf2015 maps and such because the maps especially were in large parts better than what bf2 offers and we only had around a year maybe even less (on pc at least) until the game barely had any players left because of gamepass dividing the player bases into fractions. It was never a matter of making something new for the fans, we would have loved to get those maps into the new game. Those guys were simply not listening or the did listen and just too lazy, at least thats what it sounds like to me when he talks about it would only be slightly less effort than making a new map. Alot of those new maps sucked, thats the problem...
How about some proper NEW content first? I don't understand why UA-camrs suggest that DICE should bring old content to the new game to fill the gaps. Why pay $60 for a new game, only to ask them to just bring the content we literally were just playing into the current game? DICE might as well just remaster Battlefront 2015 and re-release it.
