Given that UW beat UT in last season’s Alamo Bowl, I’d like to hear how both teams changed this season and why UT’s improvements trump UW’s. I think UW has improved the rushing aspect of their game, and I think they still have the edge in coaching (game plan + execution). Your conclusion is the same UW has heard all season: “They do this, that, and the other well, but I just have to call this one for their opponent.” UW looks different every week, except for one thing: Penix is cool as a cucumber, and all smiles, as he crafts another victory late in the game. No one is better in those situations.
Winning last season has nothing to do with this year. I think that this is going to be a close game but at the end of the day I think Texas gets the dub

I see Washington having less trouble beating Texas than beating Michigan, but I see the Huskies lifting the trophy when it's all done. So I think Michigan versus Washington in the championship will be an amazing game. It seems many will be very surprised at how tidy and efficient Washington's win over Texas will look in hindsight. I do not see Texas testing Washington as strenuously as others.
I think it is pretty much a 50/50 game but lean towards Texas. Definitely agree that Michigan is a tougher matchup.

Washington's offensive line is severely underrated, watch their games. Check the stats. Washington's defense has had five starters out for the bulk of the season. Watch the pac-12 championship game and you will see Washington's defense at full strength. The secondary for the longhorns will be torched. Washington has a potential for a big win

You are going to pick EWERS to make less mistakes than PENIX, have you seen how clutch Penix has been all his career at Washington. Wow 9 out of ten football pundits would pick PENIX over EWERS.

It's the secondary not the overall defense and Washington is clutch on defense when it really matters do you want to bet who forces more turnovers Washington or Texas on defense. I think you mean well but I have been following college football for a long time, and this Huskies team has intangibles like no other I have watched including their 91 national championship team.
If you just look at stats you won't see the whole picture. I am telling you now their ceiling is higher than any other team in the playoffs. I will see you after the game win or lose, and I will predict now that Washington will not be over powered, or make more turnovers,they will sack EWERS more than Texas will sack PENIX and Washington will not lose by more than one score if they do lose. I predict Washington will win 45- 35.

The reason i have Texas winning (besides being an absolute homer) is because they will be better at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. While acknowledging the clear deficiencies both these defenses have, Texas definitely has more talent on defense and should be able to get to Penix a couple of times and i predict that qb pressure will be the close difference maker in this game. Agree completely though I think it will be a close game.
I take Washington to win because I trust Penix more than ewers. I also have a hunch that Washington pulls another TCU from last year and finds a way to go to the championship game. Washington is similar to TCU because of the amount of close wins like within 10 points. This is such a hard game to pick.
It will be tough because Washington really isn't an underdog like TCU

They are a 4.5 underdog which isn't much. TCU was given very little chance at beating Michigan
