Good job of giving this review and making it a non-spoiler type of one at that. Also, thank you for emphasizing that it's not really a 'horror' film but more of a murder-mystery film. It seems that it might be because of the title. People might confuse it with another trilogy - A Haunting in Connecticut/A Haunting in Georgia. As usual, good job and it's good to see you. You've been missed!
Yeah, I got that Covid and it knocked me out of commission for a bit. I missed 2 movies I was wanting to review, it I feel much better now. You make a great point, I don’t think they have leaned into the fact that these are murder mystery movies based on Agatha Christie books. You are right, people might just assume it’s another generic “A Haunting in Wherever” film. This movie felt marketed more as a horror flick than a murder mystery. Thanks for the love, Dale. You gonna check this one out?
For me, this was definitely the most polished and stylish entry of these Kenneth Branagh movies. But on the flip side, it falls into the same problems as the first two entries (pacing and narrative weren't great). I did really dig the early Halloween vibes though. Also, gonna need you to start doing full reviews with that wide angle shot from now on. Great review, dude!
Haha, glad you dug the wide angle perspective. Sometimes I’m doing shit in the studio and I’m like, “Bro, you are a total tool 🪛.” 😂 As far as the film goes, they have the recipe for greatness, I’m just not unsure they are using all the ingredients yet. But I can see the potential. Most of the murder mysteries I’ve seen are just good. Any you’ve seen that have blown you away?
@@LonelyGuyLovesMovies I think the only one I’ve ever been blown away by that’s kiiiiinda a murder mystery is Prisoners from Denis Villeneuve, but that’s honestly more of a thriller anyway. Still a masterpiece though…
@SullyStreams Dude, Prisoners is incredible! I just rewatched it about a month ago. I feel like I keep dipping into the past to look for amazing creative stuff. Seems like we have pretty similar taste in films. Looking forward to seeing what you thought of Dumb Money. It’s one of my favorite films of 2023. I’ll check out your review for sure.
No, I liked Kenneth Branagh before but I think that he is really a terrible Poirot, not representative of the character that Christie describe on her books.. I hated the two previous movies of this series but this one is even worse… I hope he will stop butchering Agatha Christie’s books…I won’t go to wacht the next one, that is sure….
I had no idea this movie was even out! So weird, I have watched the first 2 movies.
Yeah it’s out and it’s worth checking out for sure. What did you think of the first 2?

Glad to hear you're okay now. That is one heavy duty thing to get for any of us. Welcome back. @@LonelyGuyLovesMovies
Nothing but love your way, Andrew! I will probably wait for the home version to come out. @@LonelyGuyLovesMovies

We definitely still say “who done it” 👀💯
Yay. I felt like a dork 🥸
Really bad movie, nothing to do with Agatha Christie….😢😢
Aw man. Hate that you didn’t dig the movie. Have you liked any of the Kenneth Branagh films?
