@regularmenthol lol, I remove my comment. But it is a great demo I'm just wondering how to animate stiffness or bend in a sop solver or inside the Vellum solver. Preferably not using dops, only inside the Vellum solver.
@@tomallen5837haha, no worries. if you double click on the vellum solver to dive inside you can create a "Vellum Constraint Property" node where you can easily animate a bunch of different values
@regularmenthol thank you, I tried but I could not get bend or stiffness to work. Usually there are other examples out there, and I don't find any, so I'd be curious to see how it's done. I think I've tried everything in the past 3 days but then again I'm not a td minded person. That is to say I'm tolerant and persistent to a point of obsession.... I've even looked up a list of vellum variables that can be animated? I found a demo of animating pressure inside of the sop level vellum solver. I also found a dops cloth demo of the manipulation of restlength using an imported attribute from the sop level, but nothing that I can animate bend and stiffness with. Basically I'm looking to control certain areas of a cloth sim within the animation.
@@tomallen5837Hmmm idk, works fine for me. I guess it depends on what you're trying to achieve. For more advanced applications of vellum you are unfortunately going to have to start looking into the DOPs application of it
Just discovered your channel...love what you do, excellent tutorial. Just a thought, would you please consider editing out the slurping noise when you take a sip? I do not mean to offend.
More like aluminum foil? I might have to give it a shot, off the top of my head maybe increase the resolution of the mesh before you sim, mess with the bend values- the bend rest length value can help tighten it up
lol, I see I'm not alone on the subject of coffee slurping. It's funny, I can take children's screams and wailings, , but not coffee slurping. .. I don't think I'd do very well in the military. slur...."OK I'LL TALK!!! (nice demo and thanks)
I've being searching tutorial about how to made aluminium foil for month, and here you are) Thanks a lot)

Awesome video, alot to learn from your channel and cool tips, thank you for your time.
😁
Great content and beautiful voice. The only wish is that you make your videos more often :)
This is great. Is there a method to animate stiffness or bend values? Something that would go in the vellum solver I suppose. I can't grasp it.
I WILL NOT MOM GAHD. Thanks for watching =]

😂😂 i’ll consider it!
Is it possible to make it like that but flat, to get "glue paper" effect?
Awesome video, but how to make crumple little sharper ?

@@regularmenthol I'll try that.
nice tutorial but maybe a bit long winded in the beginning and I hope you stopped slurping coffee straight into your microphone.
Feel free to fast forward the beginning. I will never stop slurping coffee so long as i live!

@@tomallen5837 in chinese culture the slurping of tea is actually a sign of respect. Fun fact for all grumpy westerners!
