London so much history and places to visit, I thank-you for showing us some parts that remain unknown, Daniel Defoe also was a favorite story a long, long time ago. I cannot imagine any other presenters as you doing this trip. Your professionalism and cordiality is very much appreciated. It shows you travelled the world. Wish you the best travels yet to be for all of you especially with Crusoe and your next baby arriving in September. Many blessings 🙏💖🌺🌺🥰🇨🇦
Thanks Joanne! This is one of our most loved and little watched vlogs. Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. September will be very exciting!! ❤️❤️👍

Can’t wait to meet him (and John 😀)!! I’m glad to hear that John got past reading books with pictures. Not sure my kids have! Safe travels on your next adventure!
Hey Felix, thanks so much. We also thought this to be one of our favourite videos yet. A lovely tip to London. John says he can just about manage a book with out pictures so long as the type is nice and big and there are no more than 50 pages! 😂😂😂😂😂 See you soon!!

EGADS! The memories. I worked at Moorgate for over a decade. However, my memories don't coincided with your video. How London has changed. At that time, I was living in Stoke Newington where Defoe lived on Church St. Oddly, I never bumped into him. Maybe I should visit one of these days. Great video. Really enjoyed it!
Hi Mike, how are you friend? London has changed you are right, in a very short period of time too, lots of glass buildings going up in strange shapes. It's quite amazing to see. Looks like we need a return visit to Church st, see where Defoe lived too!! If you head over this way, please do let us know, it would be good to have a pint, perhaps on Church st, or even Portugal!!! Let's see. Thanks for watching, We are heading to France tomorrow, the adventure starts again!! ☺️🙏🚐

You persisted…..and so found spot after glorious spot in the slightly mysterious story of Daniel Defoe. I have a feeling that Defoe, a uniquely different adventurer, who summoned up one of the greatest adventure stories, sits on your shoulder as you travel our world of wonder with Crusoe! Wow such lovely story, even I learnt something. So awesome to learn about the author and see where he spent his life. Thank you once again for making my Sunday a good one. I am more than in love with Crusoe. xxxx
Fabulous - Crusoe looking so grown up for his educational London day! I loved watching the Robinson Crusoe TV series when I was a child but feel I must now read the book. All the best with your onward journey - looking forward to exciting virtual travels over the coming weeks 🙂🌍
Hi Susan, great to hear from you. Thanks for tuning in. How were your own adventures? We have been checking in on your Instagram. Looked cool!! Do buy the book, two choices, the original, which can be a bit hard work with original language etc, or the child version which is an easy read and gets the point across, though can feel a little like a list sometimes. Today we leave for the next adventure!!! Thanks friend. 👍🙏🚐
I read the book in my teens in Dutch and loved it. Lovely to get a peek of London. I lived in England for a year as a mother’s helper. Wonderful memories. Your little Crusoe is just brilliant. Such a good traveler ! Where are we going next ? 💕🌷
Hi Nicklins! Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! Crusoes day out was a lot of fun 👍🙏🚐
I was thinking that is where Cruso got his name. Awesome. I also loved that book when I was younger. As a family we would watch a TV series based on the book. It was great adventures just like you guys!
Hi Bogna, Great to hear from you friend, its been quite a week! We love the name Crusoe exactly as you say, a perfect fit for a little explorer. Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏🚐
@@TheNewbys I have just come back from Scotland and the weather was great 🤗 We had an amazing time and we reached John O’Groats and Dunnet place :) Now I’m finished your Pyrenees episode and I can say I know this Circus 😁⛰ I will keep watching you as I love to explore the world with you 🤩☀️
Hi Pauline, great to hear from you!! Dads double indeed. We are having so much fun. Thanks for watching and taking this journey with us. It’s great to have you along for the ride!! 👍👍👍
Hello and welcome to Portugal ❤, Robinson Crusoe ❤, my first time on cinema, in Mozambique ❤,I was 6 years old and my father took me to see, because he love so much the history of Robinson Crusoe " and his friend, Friday 😂", writing by Daniel deFoe, thank you so much beautiful family
Thank you Luísa! We are absolutely loving it in Portugal!! The history and story is so interesting and special to us. Thanks so much for watching friend! We are so appreciative of your support. Crusoe sends hugs! 😊😊❤️❤️
Hi guys, late to respond, just got back from Lake District. Brilliant video and great to learn about Daniel Defoe, it’s so good of you to share all this knowledge and take us to such wonderful places, I really appreciate your efforts.
Hi Jane, great to hear from you. How was your week. We like this video sooooo much, really good fun. Finding a name for the next wee one to come along will be pretty tricky 🤞. We are currently in the Pyrenees enjoying some spectacular scenery, today’s video has us leaving the UK starting our next big adventure. Thanks so much for watching friend. 👍❤️🙏
@@TheNewbys Thought so it's summink to do with Robinson Crusoe! So cute! Thank you so much for sharing this... so happy to see Crusoe's cute li'l face. So content!
How wonderful and also how history has had developed such a feeling. This is for sure one of my favorite books specially after the movie was made. Reading was my patron since a little girl. I learned how to read and right because my 1st Primary class, and was told to move to the 2nd grade because I already was doing the writing and reading well. History, true history do make our mind and thinking develop in a very curious and learning way, being more positive learning that we can also make our life more interesting as we learn about the many worldwide events. My parents had to live Hungary when the 2nd war ended, they didn’t want to remain under the Russian domination. Their many events also taught me how there are and they had so many good people as friends in their hard moments.
I'm chilean, Juan Fernandez island or Robinson Crusoe island, is chilean too, in the Pacific Ocean. One day, you should visit the island, it's a wonderful place.
Bit late to the party this week as we have just returned from London to return our “baby” to uni.😃 Such an interesting vlog. London has so much history. Crusoe looks so grown up & with so many adventures ahead of him with you both. Look forward to seeing you next week. Xx
So great to hear from you as always Emma, thank you. We loved our day in london and hope the return to uni went smoothly! We’ve had a long two days of driving before a beautiful day hiking in the Pyrenees! It’s amazing to be back in the van and we’re excited to share it all with you on Sunday! Great to have you with us. 🚐 💫 🌎
I live in Fife and quite near to the pretty village of Lower Largo. This is the birthplace of Alexander Selkirk, the sailor that Defoe modelled his character, Robinson Crusoe, on. There is a statue of Selkirk and also a great hotel called the Crusoe Hotel situated at the harbour. It is such a pretty village and one of my favourite places to visit.
Hi Sally, yes we know about this place, one day we will need to take a journey there, we can’t wait. Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. ❤️👍
We took our 3 young children to Greenwich to the timeline. Our youngest escaped, each of us thought the other had him. He was about 4! He had seen some people playing football on our way there and went to look for them. He got on a bus and thankfully the driver asked him where his mum and dad were and refused to drive off until we arrived. Terrifying! But we will never forget that day. When you take your children on adventures, sometimes things go wrong but they will learn from all of those experiences! And so will you❤️Glad you are giving your son a spirit of adventure. We did the same with ours. No regrets!
Hi Helen, wowzers that must have been a scary day! Good for the bus driver! Even cooler though for your youngest child, what a little dude. Brave as a lion! How old is he now, what’s he up to? Thanks for sharing the story, we already sense we are in for a similar ride with Crusoe, maybe we need to tag him with a GPS when he starts to crawl!!! 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching friend. 👍
@@TheNewbys he is currently a psychological counselor, specialising in CBT. He lived in Spain, teaching English for nearly 3 years but is back in the UK now, with itchy feet. I have lived in Spain for 6 years now. Also have itchy feet.

@@TheNewbys we’ll be in the car this time. Going to watch a show in the west end, one of Sarah’s birthday presents. Might call in for a brew with liz too 👸
You need to visit Fife, Lower Largo which is near us has the "Robinson Crusoe" statue, it's actually of Alexander Selkirk who is widely regarded as Defoe's inspiration for the character. It's a beautiful area and we'll worth spending time 😁
Hey Kayla, thanks for watching. Great tip, we will almost certainly head that way next time we are up in Scotland, which we hope will be very soon. Thank you for your support and for joining our journey. 👍🙏🚐
Hi Louisa, thanks for watching! Great to hear from you. If you find Robinson Crusoe in an Audio book, please do let us know! We hope you enjoy it. Thanks!!! John Tara and Crusoe!! 👍🙏☺️
all the old buildings would have needed knocked down all the modern age buildings replace alot of the world now ... crusoe you look a bit like your hero Daniel 😆 I agree I love all the hamlet villages throughout England so beautiful . the very best of luck with your visa and my heart sends much love for your little family becoming 4 god bless you all ❤
I knew it! Crusoe will come to love the famous book too. ( & I'm thinking little Sawyer was named after Tom Sawyer ? yes or no? Regardless, absolutely LOVE the name choices. ❤️😁
YES! Sawyer was named after Tom and of course Crusoe after Rob! Thanks so much for watching and taking this journey with us, your support is so very much appreciated! 👍🙏🇵🇹🏡
Hi Mike, thank you very much. Great adventures found in the simplest of days. Crusoe is indeed growing fast. The most special adventures are yet to come. 👍🤞🙏
When I first heard your baby's name, I immediately thought of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. Now, reading the info blurb, I see Sawyer, and immediately think of Tom and Mark Twain. Will the future bring Eyre (or Jane) and Finn? Jon in rural BC, Canada
This is so The Newbys! You don´t forget the to start at the beginning, take that in and then you´re off. Brilliant! London has soooo much to give, go to Southall and you´re in Punjab. No queues, no stamp in your passport but everything else is 99% India. Well, the smell is a bit different and not all the honking horns (beeeeppapadoddadoooooooooo!) Stay safe, stay active and mind the gap!
Hi Meinart, good to hear from you old friend. London is indeed a rock n roll city and we love wandering around exploring. We are confident that we will be heading back soon. Next up, tomorrow we are off to France, whoop whoop. Lets the adventures continue!! Thanks for being here and for you support.. Beep Beep!! Mind the gap!! 🚐☺️👍😎
I can’t believe people are say negative things about you and you’re family leaving Portugal to have your lovely baby with your family. People please keep your negative thoughts to yourself. Just because the The newbies are sharing their life with you. Does mean you have a say so about what they do. Whatever they do they are doing the best for their family not yours. Yours meaning people who have negative things to say, you people. Have you ever heard, “look but don’t touch”. Leave comments, but keep your fears, your fears, not there’s. Enjoy what they are doing. But don’t judge. Thank you.
Hi Tara, John and Crusoe. I think other books claim to be 2nd to the Bible. I had heard many years ago that the 2nd most published and in many languages was The Diary of Anne Frank." Who knows, who's counting. Jane, Philadelphia

@@TheNewbys counting the days x x
Beautiful family. 💜
Thanks so much Lucy 😊❤️🙏🏼
@@TheNewbys exciting times - enjoy and safe travels x
Thanks Susan 👍
I read the book in my teens in Dutch and loved it. Lovely to get a peek of London. I lived in England for a year as a mother’s helper. Wonderful memories.
Your little Crusoe is just brilliant. Such a good traveler ! Where are we going next ? 💕🌷

So interesting, thanks for sharing Ilona! Great to hear from you friend, we are so appreciative of your support!😊🙏❤️
This was such fun!❤
❤️❤️❤️
I'm chilean, Juan Fernandez island or Robinson Crusoe island, is chilean too, in the Pacific Ocean. One day, you should visit the island, it's a wonderful place.
Elisa!!! WOW!! That is so cool!! Thank you for writing us a comment, we want to visit one day.
Thanks Sally! One of our Patrons also shared this with us and lives nearby and we so hope to visit one day 🙏🏼
We took our 3 young children to Greenwich to the timeline.
Hi Helen, itchy feet are the best. Do you have any plans for travel just yet? It’s tricky right now for sure.
❤❤❤I love UK. My daughter is s nurse there
I Love you guys, and your family and adventures. Thank you for sharing them! If you ever have a girl, you should name her Amelia! 💛
Hi Pamela. Thanks for watching. Amelia is a beautiful name. Next baby is already growing, expected late September, another boy! 🙏👍😉
You’ve just reminded me about my London Underground anxiety! I hate it and we’re going to London in November 😆
You’re heading to London??!! Cooool. Are you taking your van? What you heading to the big smoke for? Thanks for watching Profs. As always your support is so very appreciated. 🍻👍🚐

Going to watch a show in the west end, one of Sarah’s birthday presents.
Might call in for a brew with liz too 👸
Yeah cool! Last time we had tea with Liz, she mentioned she was expecting you soon!!! 😂😂😂
And the local hotel is called the Crusoe ( or it was when I was last there)
I hope your poor little boy doesn't end up living like his names sake. 😃God Bless.
Haha thanks Hugh! We do too!
Interesting 😊
Thank you Sheryl! 🙏👍❤️
I must read the book now

interesting alternate story and history.
Little man Crusoe is really turning into a big boy now
Hi Mike, thank you very much. Great adventures found in the simplest of days. Crusoe is indeed growing fast. The most special adventures are yet to come. 👍🤞🙏
You’re ‘on van travel’ …hope you wouldn’t mind me asking,Tara👏…where was your ‘best stop’ where Crusoe was born?
That's such a difficult question to answer Mila! We loved all of them. Thanks so much for watching friend ❤️❤️❤️
@@TheNewbys…am so sorry,Tara, for my ‘vague query’🙏…what I honestly mean, the birthplace of your sons,in as much as you’re ‘on your van travels’❤️
Hi Jon, you are quite possibly right. We shall see. :)
This is so The Newbys! You don´t forget the to start at the beginning, take that in and then you´re off. Brilliant!
London has soooo much to give, go to Southall and you´re in Punjab. No queues, no stamp in your passport but everything else is 99% India. Well, the smell is a bit different and not all the honking horns (beeeeppapadoddadoooooooooo!)
Stay safe, stay active and mind the gap!
🥰🥰🥰
🙏🙏🙏 thank you GJ!
Thank you.
Thanks so much for the support Trisha, we so appreciate it!! Xx
Hi Tara, John and Crusoe. I think other books claim to be 2nd to the Bible. I had heard many years ago that the 2nd most published and in many languages was The Diary of Anne Frank." Who knows, who's counting. Jane, Philadelphia
Hi Jane! Yes, that’s a tricky one for sure. But good to muse on. Thanks for watching. We live this little journey. Love to Philli! 🇺🇸🏡🇵🇹

Hi there Lady Dana! How was your Christmas and New Years? Thanks for watching, as always your support is so welcomed. Have a great year ahead. ❤️🙏👍
