Track and field has traditionally been my favorite olympic sport, but this has been my favorite sports podcast of 2024! Katie and Missy, you are engaging and energetic hosts, and I love how you both take time to clearly explain different aspects of swimming for novice fans like me. Keep up the amazing work!
In every race video she seems so intimidating just walking to the center block, which isn't intentional, but it's so hard to imagine her being off. With some of the other big names, there's always the question of whether they might not have a good showing on race day.
Definitely an uber talented swimmer; could work more on her sportsmanship. After not winning the 200 IM at the Olympics neither she or Alex appeared to have congratulated Summer McIntosh. Rather the 2 USA swimmers commiserated as a duo.
Yeah I was surprised at that. Long before Alex was disqualified there was plenty of time for them to angle toward Summer. Contrast to Regan who always congratulates Summer. Of course, losing to Summer is not foreign to Regan. Kate and Alex had never faced Summer in a major meet. They may have been stunned and a bit intimidated.
Your podcast is good, but you offer too much personal commentary, which detracts from the interview. We watch and listen to hear the subject of your interview. Ask your questions (as succinctly as possible) and let them talk. Thanks.
