The only reason I can see for buying a bottle priced higher than RR15, that isn't subjectively better than RR15, is to fill out a collection. I imagine there will be less of these in the wild than there are of RR15, thus keeping the price high AF
I had a pour of this at whiskey bar for 25, and it’s amazing. Not 15 though, and there’s no chance I’d drop even 250. These are sitting on 2ndary pages and I know those dudes wanted a return quick instead. I absolutely agree this B beats the last GTS. Turkey is killin it. Cheers y’all! 🥃
It’s really good for an Old Fitz but the proof or lack thereof always knocks a few points off. All of the RR special releases of the last few years are better.
Love the show. The inflation not existing pre-covid comment is hilarious though. The whiskey market boomed even more during the pandemic for sure, but inflation was no different during that time.

@@BaritoneFinwiggler I figured you'd try to nitpick the term Inflation with what they said...i'm sure they meant that times suck right now and didn't suck nearly as bad pre covid...i doubt they were talking specifically about inflation, particular in the sense of bourbon.
Saw Russell's 15 for the first time last week in store for $500 so stores are still trying to take extra profit. I would love to find these and for them to be affordable, but I can't find them at current SRP... When all of these are getting bought at the higher SRP (or more), why would they bring the price down?
I’m kind of tired of seeing WT LTOs being reviewed and supported. Are they great? Yes, are they worth the SRP, hard maybe. Are they worth secondary, hard no. Can you find them at SRP in most shops, no. Is the Campari group extremely greedy? Yes. These LTOs use to just be juice in their regular shelf products. Now they have reduced the quality of their shelf products to sell more LTOs at 200+ premium prices. Are these as good as BTAC? Imo that’s a no, and BTAC SRP is less…Is BTAC worth secondary, also no.
The only thing that Buffalo Trace is accomplishing with their low MSRP's is making more profit for greedy store owners and flippers. My personal opinion is that BT should actually increase their MSRP's and take more profit for themselves so that maybe they can increase the amount of LE's they can produce, which would increase their availability.
$325? Why don’t you comment about the price gouging that driving bourbon lovers out of the market. Stuff&Whiskey take price into consideration for their ratings. I will never be spending $325 for a single bottle of liquor and I won’t be missing anything. Greed is killing this hobby.
Is it greed or demand? Product like this is going to be extremely limited so of course price is driven up due to that. The entire industry pricing has been raised, and until they can either make more or demand goes down, how can you expect prices to fall?
It seems like every hobby is like that now. A few years ago, I got into the retro gaming hobby, but the prices for retro games became so obscenely expensive that I gave up on the hobby and ended up selling a bunch of games and consoles. A few years before that, I was big into the vinyl hobby, but the prices on those have gotten so bad that I hardly ever buy any new records.
