Actually the Illuminate are really nice and friendly and you should let them inside your house and give them the plans for the space station and the super earth supply line map and - *knock knock* "Democracy Officer here, OPEN UP!"
you know it be perttty weird if it turns out that the illuminates have a population of humans they abducted from super earth.... and now they are loyal to the illuminates cause they ilumiantes like, actually give a shit about their health and lives Xd.
Although a fourth faction is appealing I like the idea of being able to find living S.E.A.F. military personnel on the battlefield fighting against the enemy, you can use coms to communicate with them and they can utilise equipment from their surroundings (if it's hellpod given weaponry such as support weapons and manned turrets and pelican delivered gear, ie, vehicles , mainly walkers, you can order them to use it), and their tag and status comes up on the H.U.D. like in old HALO. Like stragglers in Termanid infestations, remaining rebels against the Automaton and/or Illuminat. And they can extract alongside the Helldivers, giving you extra samples, RS, adding extra liberation to the goal bar and possibly SC. Finding surviors other than evacuees would be awesome, after all, the Helldivers, pilots, and destroyer pesonnel aren't the only S.E.A.F. personnel, basic soldier exist too.
Us humans are delicate things. They'd likely die about as easily as Helldivers do, maybe a little quicker, as I don't think stims are used by many S.E.A.F. personnel other than Helldivers and maybe democracy officers and pilots.
Why would you wish such a thing ! Thousands of my brothers have died to support your super earth. Report this diver for both treasonous intent and heresy!
5:25 this is genuinely the best idea so far. Imagine working as a team to fight of cuthulu demons like in doom but co-op Helldivers could be co-op DOOM think about that guys
Tbh? I think it would be cool if we got traitors that actually ally (technically) with the other factions, and appear occasionally on worlds under attack. The bugs could have terrorists that seek to control spread the Terminid Infestation. The bots could have Cyborgs as Super-Earth Defectors and descendants of the Cyberstani survivors. Illuminate could pretty much just have cultists Lovecraft style. How traitors could act is up in the air, but I'd love to fight against SEAF defector enemies and go up against other people with our guns.
This actually sounds doable and would really add to the experience. So maybe not a "4th Faction," but rather enemy humans working with the existing factions. Nice!
@@SuperEarthSalute I'd consider it a "mini faction" of sorts. A set of units made to appear either in specific missions, or in separate groups as a rare encounter. Most units would be given a variant for the different main factions (along with possibly 1 unique enemy exclusive to a faction), and would have mostly the same behavior. Some enemies I see working for human dissidents include: Standard SEAF defectors with low health and armor, but with some added resistances to fire, explosives, and caustic damage to make them harder to kill on masse. They'd carry basic weapons like Liberators, Break-Action Shotguns, and HE grenades. Heavy troopers with upped armor, who wield SMGs and Shields. They'd not have much more base health, but come with the armor and durability scores to soak small-arms fire. Not very accurate due to one-handing their weapon, but they are way more aggressive and support the fodder. Stolen Exosuits, which function as the high-level enemies of the traitors. They replaced their guns with lighter weaponry (maybe a specific weapon type based on the faction it supports?) in exchange for more armor, giving them a little more protection than standard.
this is actually a brilliant plan and now i have like 400 ideas in my head for what they might look like so thank you for overloading my brain and causing me to go into cardiac arrest
@@Cowboysnake991 Np. I just wanna see more going on in the game atm. The little details with bots and bugs are fun, but they feel entirely separate and detached from the rest of HD2's world.
I think Supernatural would be the way to go since we already have Starship Troopers, Terminator, and Battle Los Angeles/Independence Day. Whoever the Bots were communicating with some time back are definitely the fourth faction if it wasn't the squids. Also, I had this crazy idea for a plotline for Helldivers that this fourth faction would be so dangerous that the squids are willing to put aside their differences and fight with SE against this new threat while the Bots agree to not attack us unless provoked while they fight their own war against the fourth faction. Or it gets turned into a 2v2 situation.
Hear me out on this theory, I think it won’t be all of Super Earth as a whole, but would be cool if a faction against Super Earth turns out to be from corruption, and it’s the Helldivers’ duty to bring justice to them. It’s a cool idea for us to have a fourth faction, and it’ll be clearing corruption away.
@@SuperEarthSalute I believe Super Earth itself won’t betray Helldivers, but it’s not to say bot or bug sympathizers, or the bots and bugs mysteriously get intel on our supply lines, would have part of the downgrades. We had a similar thing happen in Marvel where SHIELD was infiltrated by HYDRA, which could be both a surprise and not a surprise if there are traitors, which will be our duty to deal justice to all who oppose it. Our enemies could be anywhere, but not Super Earth itself. We also had several surprises even the Ministry of Truth had, which either have problems with intel (reason why I am saying this is because there had been “fake” leaks, but turns out to be real,) or they got traitors among them that loyalists could purge. It would be an interesting dynamic, as the former President did conform there are rebel factions, if I remember correctly. Also, it might be scary to think the resources are actually going towards a private army of sort. Which Helldivers might have to fight so they could put down new threats.
It would be cool if it makes it an indirect PvP feature, with players declaring for SEAF or rebel causes. Each team goes down and fights human enemies (red or blue colored because faction) to try to move the liberation percentage closer to %100. The game play and mechanics wouldn't change, but pitting the players against each other in a certain area of the galaxy map, even as a limited time mode or event, would be very cool.
Chaosdiver here, we’ve lost all cohesion now that our primary recruitment pitch is over. Honestly, considering the amount of numbers that declared they would gladly fight for super earth again, rouge 5 will probably just end up being a club where divers relax between missions. That said, we never destroyed the armor, and if something happens, we’ll be right back, like we never left
I mean its not like the game is perfect, there are still numerous questionable and detrimental design decisions that need to be perfected. Though still, our schtick of being anti-super earth is still cool roleplay so we aren’t dead or anything.

I really want traitor divers as a 4th faction, the 3 main ones from HD1 are good and all but I think something new could really bring this game over the top
The 4th faction, Imagine a coalition, comprised of multiple cannibalistic alien species, each specializing in different parts of other sapient races bodies. This hegemony operates under a sinister hierarchy where power is measured by the grotesque mastery of their prey. Initial encounters during the beginning would be easy to deal with, As they engage in their grotesque feasting, they evolve into even greater threats. Initial encounters with these beings may seem manageable, but as time passes, they consume their fallen brethren and grow alarmingly stronger, Such as: Fungoid Race: Initially appearing as small "pod" swarm units, these mycelial beings can be easily dispatched. However, if left unchecked, they scavenge the battlefield, absorbing biomass from their fallen enemies. Within moments, they transform into towering, armored giants-walking tanks of fungus and decay, capable of unleashing toxic spores that incapacitate their foes. A Vampire race, These ethereal predators glide through the air, wielding whips and swords, surrounded by a wispy, hazy aura that distorts perception. Their presence acts as a cognitohazard, luring enemies into a trance before striking. As they feed on their victims, they become more agile and powerful, each kill amplifying their deadly grace. A Cthulhu esqe race, These towering abominations command the battlefield with terrifying telepathy. Initially, they serve as imposing tank units, but as they consume the minds and flesh of their enemies, they become nearly unstoppable, warping reality around them and summoning legions of lesser creatures to do their bidding. (They could act similarly to the cabal from destiny) A Reptilian race, Acting as the backbone of the faction, these cold-blooded fighters resemble knights in sleek, scaled armor. They serve as thrall units, sometimes enslaving humans to bolster their ranks. As they feast on the fallen, their strength and tactical prowess increase, making them formidable foes in combat. Wendigo race, Manifesting as emaciated, haunting figures, these creatures embody the primal fear of starvation. Their chilling wails can disorient and terrify, and as they consume flesh, they grow larger and more fearsome, with elongated limbs and sharpened teeth, capable of rending through armor and flesh alike. Lycanthropes: These feral shapeshifters strike fear into the hearts of their enemies. Initially appearing as human, they transform into massive, savage beasts mid-battle. Each kill enhances their ferocity, making them relentless hunters fueled by a bloodlust that escalates with each victim. Formless Gaseous Psionics: These mysterious entities drift silently through the air, their true forms obscured. They can manipulate minds and create illusions, instilling paranoia in their foes. As they siphon the life force of the fallen, they grow stronger, gaining the ability to physically manifest and manipulate the environment around them. Maggot Men: These grotesque, decaying beings thrive on rot and refuse. Initially slow and sluggish, they can quickly consume corpses to swell in size, gaining speed and strength. As they grow, they develop a hive-like intelligence, coordinating with one another to overwhelm their enemies. Cockroach-like Humanoids: These mimicry experts can blend seamlessly into any environment, acting as spies or ambushers. Their initial skirmishes may seem trivial, but as they consume flesh, they gain adaptability and resilience, becoming near-indestructible while employing cunning tactics to outsmart their foes. More ideas for other species could include different Insectoids and or perhaps other lovcraftian inspired races. Together, these species form a nightmarish alliance, each contributing their unique predatory skills to the collective. Their interactions are marked by an uneasy balance of cooperation and rivalry, as they vie for dominance while also recognizing the necessity of their gruesome unity. The 4th faction becomes a force of nature, leaving a trail of horror and dread across the landscape as they hunt and consume, driven by primal instincts and an insatiable hunger. The battlefield becomes a horrific theater of transformation, where every fallen enemy strengthens the coalition, creating an escalating cycle of violence and consumption. The more they feed, the more they evolve-turning the tide against those who dare to challenge them.

I would like to see a traitor faction, when implemented also implement faction wars. The Bots and Bugs fighting over a world with critical mineral deposits. Traitors and Bugs fighting over E-710 pumps to fuel their FTL capabilities. Illuminate and Bots fighting due to territorial claims. Bots attempting to harvest Traitors, because traitor brains are easier to convert to fight against Super Earth. Illuminate facilities being attacked by Bugs. You know, stuff like that.

And what if the 4th faction (which will obviously not appear soon) will not be just rebels, but... survivors of people from the previous super-earths that we lost in the first war. But those who were "Abandoned" survived, were able to defeat / or come to an alliance with the invaders, and now they are eager to take revenge on those who left them to die. This will be just a "human faction", but at the same time will give room for technology so that it does not look like "just a mirror image of the Hell Divers. Vera Libertas.
Ehhhh, this isn't something planned for immediate implementation. Datamines for occupation mapping don't assign any new party to it, instead it's just split between the automatons and the illuminate like you'd expect
Realistically speaking, it would make sense that Arrowhead wants to expand on factions, since the factions we have right now are also Helldivers 1 originals. The fact nothing has been data mined yet means that they are not working on it yet, so it might be a while still, but i am sure whatever they are planning will be grand!
As a chaos diver myself I can tell you for a fact that we were betrayed after giving all to Super Earth, chaos divers aren’t griefers, we simply fight what we believe in but not for super earth. Now due to the fact of high command listening to us we are back as loyal citizens. Whoever was responsible for the betrayal is to be held accountable not the chaos divers themselves
You know, the idea of civil war in Super Earth sounds actually pretty cool, especially if players would be allowed to pick a side they would like to fight for.
Former chaosdiver, we splintered apart, I’m sure some of them are still out there, waiting to regroup, but some, many of us have returned to the fold. Many of us did multiple tours across the galaxy, watched the creek fall four times and fought tooth and nail to prevent it, and seeing the intentional sabotage by what we now know to be an insider attack disheartened us. But Super Earth High Command is graceful, and recognizing our experience has brought many of us back into the fold, and now even I, a former chaosdiver have taken three new helldivers under my tutelage to destroy our enemies and spread managed democracy, and we will root out the traitors who put the lives of our brothers and sisters on the line, and prevented the spread of freedom.
sadly the devs said HD2 won't have a PvP element outside of friendly fire so us Chaosdivers are chilling. Would be interesting to see what would happen if we were allowed to have our own Helldiver factions and 2 groups meeting on the same map occasionally.
Great question and it's something we're discussing. One way or another, we'll be starting some kind of community hub/meeting place in the near future so keep your eyes peeled for more! Thank you for your support!
The chaosdivers were a serious threat for a while but they had a kinda mini civil war amongst themselves when people started saying that they were chaosdivers but they only refused to participate in the major order. The problem was that they got popularized and many thought they were cool and wanted to be one of them but were too afraid(?idk the right word for this) to actually do what a chaos diver has been intended for since the start , to cause chaos.
Imagine if the “fourth faction” ended up being a PvP mode though. The devs would make a complete comeback if they could pull it off and make it even remotely interesting. Only instead of it being a pure force on force type of fight it would be more objective driven, like a raid that has capture the flag qualities or infiltrating a facility to plant a bomb.
I don't know why, but when the idea of the 4th faction being "demonic zombie dinosaurs with guns from space" had me dying of laughter. XD The idea is so outlandish I now genuinely want a game about that concept. XD

They would die super easily lol
Us humans are delicate things. They'd likely die about as easily as Helldivers do, maybe a little quicker, as I don't think stims are used by many S.E.A.F. personnel other than Helldivers and maybe democracy officers and pilots.

Some enemies I see working for human dissidents include:
Standard SEAF defectors with low health and armor, but with some added resistances to fire, explosives, and caustic damage to make them harder to kill on masse.

Initial encounters with these beings may seem manageable, but as time passes, they consume their fallen brethren and grow alarmingly stronger, Such as:
Fungoid Race: Initially appearing as small "pod" swarm units, these mycelial beings can be easily dispatched.
(They could act similarly to the cabal from destiny)
A Reptilian race, Acting as the backbone of the faction, these cold-blooded fighters resemble knights in sleek, scaled armor.
What about the Borg type faction?
Would be cool a mixture of cybernetic and biological enhancements that makes the enemies look like cyberpunk Halloween creatures like scarecrows, frankensteins, vampires, zombies, skeletons, ghosts, werewolfs and etc.

"I've seen beyond the reaches of SE... but that doesn't make it easier to figure out the truth behind this war. Just know to trust eachother. That's the least you can do in times like this. Have eachother's backs.."
"I won't reveal my allegiance, because then I might get a sudden visit to my grid coordinates.. but just know I stand with you all. And I'm working out here to ensure we know what we're fighting for."
"Did it not seem too convenient that the Chaos Divers' complaints about weapons were so quickly fulfilled? Someone out there is hiding things from us. And I don't know if it's Super Earth or another group entirely.. but I assure you. I will fight to protect our people no matter the cost."
"Signing out."
Helldivers 2 is underrated!
Preach it
No it was highly praised s*** upon by its own developers and now it's right where it deserves to be at the bottom of the f****** barrel
Now THIS is what I’ve been thinking about a lot, spot on SES
12:17 among us???????
I personally think if they did a fourth faction it should be evil mutated plants to meet all the sci-fi stereotypes. Space bugs like in Starship Troopers, Hateful AI like in Terminator, Super advanced eldritch horror aliens like in War of the Worlds and carnivorous mutated plants like Day of the Triffids
At this point im so over hearing about these new enemies 😂its been months of the same video every 2 days of "LuMiNaTe CuMmInG sOoN?😱😱😱" from every YT that covers Hellidvers lol. Let alone a 4th faction now, prolly wouldnt see it till 2026
I would love rebellions that would randomly pop up in the galaxy. Like a random planet becomes traitor, and we have to go clear it out.
It’s like the Illuminari is more likely a treasonous faction that would be loyal to the third faction, as we saw evidence first two factions clashing, so it’s likely the factions don’t like each other. It’s likely some radical faction will commit treason. Something like Chaos from Space Marines except without magic would be cool, just different approach.
Thank you for acknowledging the obvious existence of the Illuminate. I've had Democracy Officers asking me questions daily for simply trying to keep Helldivers (my self included) safe and prepared. FOR SUPER EARTH!
did your weapons get better? youv gotta thank us for that
Assuming you're a Chaos Diver then? Seems your movement did manage to get some results after all!
You did absolutely nothing but give a headache to everyone else around you, good riddance.
@@thebigenchilada678 that's why youv got better weapons now 😂🤣 and do you even know about chaos? Dont listen to the misinformation about us and by the way you did f all lmaoo
@@thebigenchilada678 Oooff, so salty
@@thebigenchilada678 love your channel 😂🤣
I like the idea that the 4th faction is an alien civilization that is justnas advanced as humanity who are just looking for galactic conquest.
I honestly hate chaosdivers. They think that they are the good guys but they are just teamkillers
They claim not to be, but if that is even remotely true, it's shameful to say the least.
They are Cringedivers😂
Dude the idea of Helldivers fighting other humans who use our tech against us. That sounds amazing.
the only thing about them that is cool is the drip everything else is bad, also we need to take the blueprints from the first glactic war and put those tanks and bikes back intl use
Agreed, us veterans want our tanks.
@SuperEarthSalute I didn’t participate in the first galactic war, however I do like the sounds of being able to use bikes. The tank might be a bit hard to balance however and it may end up being not very commonly used like the mechs.
as an entity that has a few minor gripes with super-earth policy, I accept your challenge, although I do admit the recent upgrades to the arsenal has been a very pleasant surprise, it does not right their wrongs.
