1982 7" from female-fronted Southern California punk band SIN 34. Songs: America America, Children Shall Not Be Heard, The Uniform, 12 Hour Trip, Join the Race
We used to hang out in high-school yesrs when this band was just only forming and punk was fresh and we were too.. it was Julie and I, a bus bench in Hollywood, with a fosters or a mickeys and a joint watching the world go by.. Dead Kennedys and Crass were our favorites... ah memories. RIP old friend..
My Sin 34 introduction was from Dave Markey's "Trip to San Francisco" film. I have no idea where you could find that nowadays. But, it did leave me with immediately wanting to search out this EP and the Necros - I.Q. 32 EP. R.I.P. Julie and Phil
Just read American Hardcore by Steve Blush and have been working through the discography section checking out loads of the bands listed there. Any bands in particular you think I should check out. FYI some of the bands I've had on repeat after finding in that book include Youth Brigade (DC), Sin34, Wasted Youth, Underdog, China White, The Freeze. Thanks in advance!
This ep needs to be released on CD. I'm glad I got to see Sin 34 live in (2008) I believe in Downey. But I was disappointed by that drummer dave markey forgetting how to play the drums fast. He really did the songs a disservice.
