The abused sometimes become the abuser. That is not a justification. It is a fact.
first off, that is less a fact than it is an observation since it's specific to each case and not generalisable. Secondly, James wouldn't be classed as an abuser as there was no prior history of violence towards others, once off does not define someone as an 'abuser'.

A fact is a statement that is objectively true and can be proven or verified. ‘Sometimes’ reduces the statement to be less generalisable, thus, not a fact. Just like saying 2+2=4 is a fact, however, to say ‘2+2 sometimes = 4’ would not be a fact (even tho it does sometimes add to 4 because it then isn’t reliable over time). Also, are you referring to a study from 1987…? 😂

Oh my OA I really am glad Lucas tried to make things right for his dad and his stepfather he’s really starting to act mature. I really feel sorry for James, Lucas and Ste and I really hope they’ll work this out I even hope James will stick to his word about going to anger management therapy. I really wish they’d put Lucas together with Dillon already and have them becoming a couple those two are giving me similar reminders to #McDean I even sometimes wish Craig came back to meet Carter and help him get rid of this conversion therapy thing plus I’m really worried about Lucas being apart of the group. 😧
James has had loads of chances to get helped and has not done it you really think he will step and do it now naw he won't. And he crossed a line hitting ste son and locking him in a shed.
We need a million more gay storylines . So good to watch and cool

Because they are 2 irrelevant situations and different circumstances that's why. Ste was brendan partner and when you get abused by your partner you get scared to leave and plus you think you can change that person when they tell you they are sorry and say they will change. Lucas is ste child and when your child was hit by your partner you tell your partner to one as your duty of care is protect your child that's why
I’m sorry but I may be the lone opinion but I don’t like Ste with James. Not condoning what James did but I felt like Ste as well as his kids only view James as an open wallet. They don’t seem to care about him except when his money is flowing. Ste is so quick to not forgive but he let his kids just run a muck and nothing is said. Again not condoning what James did but a lot went on before it got to that point and Ste’s past behavior when he needed forgiveness seems to be all but forgotten. He was the main reason Yaz doesn’t have her hearing but that’s ok he’s forgiven. They blew up their apt when he was a part of the extremist group oh we forgot about that huh? And he wasn’t even allowed to see his kids. He was allowed to rehabilitate but now that James needs a little help oh it’s a non starter. So how about you gather your posse up and move back to Lela’s without the comfort of James’ cash and luxury home. You know where you were when you couldn’t pay rent or buy gifts or drink wine….. I’m just saying I don’t think they love James just for James so that’s why forgiveness is not a part of the conversation.
You comparing ste and yaz situation to this lucas is ste son and when you lock up your fiance son and hit him then you don't deserve forgiveness people like you are trying to compare irrelevant situations

Lucas provoked James ,he hit Lucas and Ste found out so he’s mad at James for hitting Lucas (excusing the fact that Lucas provoked him ) and he’s also excusing that with the fact that Lucas is 15 here (a child According to Ste)

Lucas had also been blackmailing his stepdad and trying to split them up. Being a child isn't an excuse when he's 15. He knew what he was doing.
