Used to listen to this every morning on my bike rides to work. It was the best part of my day. My girlfriend at the time was cheating on me and our relationship was unraveling. She would send me pics of her engagement ring. Tell me stories about her new relationship. She had my truck. My boss at work was extremely sick so I had the full load of patients and administrative issues on my back. Kings of Leon got me out of bed every morning and this song gave me the drive to spin those wheels to hell and back every day. This band saved my life.

I had the opportunity to meet Caleb a couple times once in Las Vegas after they opened for the Strokes and once in San Diego where the played at a Mexican restaurant...seriously... super nice kid and was saying even he could not believe the pressure he was under from his record company to produce quantity over quality that was in 04 or 05 I think its extreme that karl likes any band so much he would call a fellow human an asshole over it. Welcome to America.
As awesome as thing song is, I find it pretty ridiculous that people are still bashing the last two records. Come Around Sundown and Only By The Night are both FANTASTIC albums. I like everything this band puts out. I'm not saying YOU have to like everything they put out, but you should AT LEAST respect what they are doing. There is SO MUCH terrible music out there, and these guys are putting out solid rock 'n' roll. Get over yourself. These guys are flag holders for today's rock scene.
This is a pretty good song, but my reason for becoming disenchanted by this band is the fact that they blatantly show at live performances that they could give less fucks about fans (e.g. telling us we suck, and that they don't want to be there). They sold out because they obviously hate their popularity but continue to milk the people they're resenting.
Cher is shit against KOL. Furthermore they have different kind of fans, most of Cher are gays while KOL's fans aren't (not hating on gay people). Radioactive was shit, and dadrock implies that people only like it because it was written before the 90s and they feel some sort of nostalgia or fake nostalgia when listening to it, there is rock music that isn't dadrock and this is a good example of it.
This sounds a lot like Taper Jean Girl...that's not a bad thing. Love the sound of those first 2 albums when they were just a bunch of Southern Strokes'y Upstart Underdogs. I hope the rest of the album has this kind of feel to it.

I had the opportunity to meet Caleb a couple times once in Las Vegas after they opened for the Strokes and once in San Diego where the played at a Mexican restaurant...seriously... super nice kid and was saying even he could not believe the pressure he was under from his record company to produce quantity over quality that was in 04 or 05

As awesome as thing song is, I find it pretty ridiculous that people are still bashing the last two records. Come Around Sundown and Only By The Night are both FANTASTIC albums. I like everything this band puts out. I'm not saying YOU have to like everything they put out, but you should AT LEAST respect what they are doing. There is SO MUCH terrible music out there, and these guys are putting out solid rock 'n' roll. Get over yourself. These guys are flag holders for today's rock scene.

This is a pretty good song, but my reason for becoming disenchanted by this band is the fact that they blatantly show at live performances that they could give less fucks about fans (e.g. telling us we suck, and that they don't want to be there). They sold out because they obviously hate their popularity but continue to milk the people they're resenting.

Cher is shit against KOL. Furthermore they have different kind of fans, most of Cher are gays while KOL's fans aren't (not hating on gay people). im kind serious if you listen well to the vocal part in "the tropics" by jeff the brotherhood you'll have the whole song ..this one it's just kind more fast..those band are from nashville maybe they both got influenced from something else but the similarities are undeniable :(
This is probably their most complicated song so far, their firsts albums were much more simples (probably better or, better said, more enjoyable), but hey, they're growing as musicians, if this new album would sound like their firsts albums I probably wouldn't like it that much

Well... they're clearly not. This is basically the same song as their B Side "Frontier City" and sounds nothing like Mollys Chambers, Four Kicks, and Red Morning Light. Absolute pile of tripe. Wish Caleb would stop singing and scream again.
Radioactive was shit, and dadrock implies that people only like it because it was written before the 90s and they feel some sort of nostalgia or fake nostalgia when listening to it, there is rock music that isn't dadrock and this is a good example of it.
This sounds a lot like Taper Jean Girl...that's not a bad thing. Love the sound of those first 2 albums when they were just a bunch of Southern Strokes'y Upstart Underdogs. I hope the rest of the album has this kind of feel to it.
