I was really impressed by the previous gen Baleno...so much so that I advised my mom to get one. She got a low mileage Glx at a bargain price...just as Toyota launced the Starlet. I felt sorry for the person that opted to get a new Starlet vs a Baleno although it was still a win for Suzuki..lol. Well played Suzuki! So glad to see the new model...its a real improvement all round. Well done. Looking forward to see one in the metal.
Great looking car, I am sure it is reliable as well, my Ciaz has served me well, I am now on 188 OOOKM problem free...no leaks, water pump issues, just a problem free drive....I think this will be a good replacement, I don't really need 480 boot space...
I am loving the new look as a big fan of the Suzuki Baleno, I'm questioning the decreased boot space though, hoping the drive will be as good as the 2021 Baleno
Hi Siphesihle, we think you’ll still love the comfort offered by our new age Baleno, even with the slight reduction in boot space. You’ll just have to find somewhere else to place your box of matches 😉
The Baleno more than makes up for the reduced boot space with its excellent features and unmatched comfort, Tsholo 🙂 How about a test drive? www.suzukiauto.co.za/cars/baleno
Getting my 2023 Baleno tomorrow I had to choose between the Magnite which my sister wanted but I am trading in my swift for the baleno because Suzuki is the best.
Why not add black rubber waist strips to protect against careless door openers parked next to the Baleno ? (It will also break the "Blunt" look from the sides).
Hi Daleen, sorry about missing your question. The Baleno seats do fold down flat, however, they aren't inline with the boot and will sit slightly above it.
Hi Mbandazayo, thank you for your interest in our premium Baleno, please note that our latest model is available here: www.suzukiauto.co.za/cars/baleno We recommend you reach out to a dealer for assistance with a quote. You can find your nearest dealer here: www.suzukiauto.co.za/contact
I bought my Baleno 1.4GLX Auto in late 2021. I'm happy with the car generally. However I have a problem with the gearbox. The car does not change properly on steep heels. It would overrev itself well after it had gathered enough momentum for a change up. On a downhill it would change down for no reason at all. As result I am only getting 6.2km/100km, way below what is specified 5.4l/100km in the literature. I hope in this variant they have paid attention to my gripe......
Bro it's a past its sell by date antiquated 4 speed auto box which they insist on keeping because it keeps the costs down in a very competitive segment. I can't comment on the steep hills but my polo dsg exhibits the same behaviour on down hills but only if I start applying the brakes because it either thinks I'm slowing down to come to a stop or turn a corner. Thankfully the dsg has a manual mode which will keep it in the gear that I want while I'm braking on a downhill, in this case to keep within the speed limit
Great cars. Pitty dealers are dishonest and want to charge me R3000 extra for a white car claiming its metallic. Why not list the cost options on website if that's the case? 🥺😢 This nonsense will make people get starlets where Toyota does not charge extra fees for different colour options
We're sorry to hear about your terrible experience, Mprins. Suzuki Auto does not determine prices for the dealers, according to rules in the competition act. We recommend a selling price but the dealers set their own prices. Please reach out to other dealers near you to request a quote. You can find your nearest dealers here: www.suzukiauto.co.za/contact
Hi T2, we've definitely upgraded our sound system to give our fans the best. The new generation Baleno features a 9-inch HD touchscreen with Bluetooth audio playback, smartphone connectivity, voice recognition and more. You can find out more here www.suzukiauto.co.za/cars/baleno #OthersWillFollow
Trying to buy one but can’t get a commitment from the dealer or Suzuki head office about stock levels and when I might get my car which for the record has already been paid for after I was told that a car had been reserved for me,it’s now 2 weeks since payment was made and I’m still in the dark, not a good look Suzuki

Suzuki cars will own the market soon. It has everything. The middleclass citizens will enjoy this car.
Suzuki needs to start adding sunroofs to their top spec models. This cars is great, it just needs a sunroof
Hi Mo, thanks for the feedback. We'll pass your comment onto our product planning team for future consideration.😊

Thank you for choosing us Bontle. 🤗 We love knowing you'll be staying with the Suzuki fam.

Hi Pieter, thank you for the suggestion. We'll pass it on to our product planning team for consideration.
This Baleno looks good and giving other manufacturers a run for their money, I would not mind getting my hands on it. A test drive?
Thank you, Chuma, you can book a test drive here: www.suzukiauto.co.za/cars/baleno and experience premium driving for yourself.
Can the seats collapse into a flat system?
Hi Daleen, sorry about missing your question. The Baleno seats do fold down flat, however, they aren't inline with the boot and will sit slightly above it.
When will the 2023 Baleno be launched?

Try Suzuki Kyalami if you're in Gauteng. I got one.
Thanks Rosemary but unfortunately I’m in KZN and the dealer already has my money but at least have offered a loan car till stocks arrive

With that 4speed auto box expect to get around 12km/l in city driving. Don't trust the computer readout. Mine is out by 2 km/l.
