I think that has changed a lot over the years in my experience. I've seen a lot more Pastors at churches who've gone to seminary and advanced theological studies than we used to see back in the day. We still have too many people out there who are appointed as Pastor without either studying the word or people confirming their deep understanding of it.
I'm a Seventh-Day Adventist( Matthew 5:18), and in most of our churches now, we have drums & guitars. You walk into church and it's party time. I rarely hear hymns like I used to, with people just speaking from the word. It pleases me to hear one of my First - Day brethren speaking like this. Glory to God. That sermon was annointed. I'm going to have to check him out more often.

I get what he is saying about entertainment in the churches. I'm on board with seperation of what is holy and unholy. When it comes to praise dance and all this secular mixing with the music of God, I get it. God doesn't need the worlds help in getting His word accross. I just wanted to address what he said in the *BEGINNING* of the video when he called the preachers who speak with music *"Your little reverend"* 1:19. He seems somewhat arrogant. I have heard preachings that have had music in the background and I was very edified by the word. As long as the words are of sound doctrine and clear. Everything must be done in an orderly fashion and to glorify God. Now there was a particular prophet named Elisha who used music to prophecise. I wonder what he would say of the prophet Elisha when he asked for a minstrel before he began his prophecy? Would he call him a *"little prophet"* for having music played while he spoke God's word? *_"But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him" 2 Kings _**_3:15_* He took *Ecclesiasticus 32:4* out of context. This chapter is not speaking of the preaching during the congregation of the saints. It's speaking of the conduct during a feast (party). Obviously one should not try and preach wise words during a party especially if there are people getting their drink on as it states in verse 5 and 6. *_"A concert of music in a BANQUET OF WINE is as a signet of carbuncle set in gold. 6 As a signet of an emerald set in a work of gold, so is the MELODY OF MUSIC WITH PLEASANT WINE." Ecclesiasticus is not in the Bible. It is an apocryphal book. It was added to the Septuagint, which is a translation of the hebrew Old Testament into the greek, but it was not recognized by the jews as an inspired book which belonged to the Canon which is why you can't find it in your Bible. Then Jerome translated that Bible into Latin which still contained the apocrypha books but when the reformation occurred, the apocrypha were removed from the Canon though the oldest KJV of the Bible offers them in there version as extra Biblical books that contain historical context. The Roman Catholics, The Orthodox Church, and I believe the Coptics, consider them part of the Biblical Canon but most protestants denominations do not. Also the jews which recognize the Old Testament Bible as inspired do not accept these books as part of their Canon. Anything that belongs to the world is not of God. As someone who has been delivered from the world by the blood of Jesus and homes his/her sight on where their true citizenship is and who they belong to understands that we need to worship God in Spirit for God is Spirit, we should never be influenced by the world or look to the world for inspiration to seek to worship God. We should instead be moved and be led by the Spirit to worship in spirit. Thats what I mean when I say secular mixing. I admire Pastor Gino Jennings courage to speak on real issues going on in the church and reverence to God's holiness but sometimes he gets me with his pride. This was one of those times.

What secular mixing for example? Would using a song like What's Going On or Heal the World be considered secular mixing? The only issue I see is if the music is speaking something unGOdly.

Ecclesiasticus is not in the Bible. It is an apocryphal book.
It was added to the Septuagint, which is a translation of the hebrew Old Testament into the greek, but it was not recognized by the jews as an inspired book which belonged to the Canon which is why you can't find it in your Bible. Then Jerome translated that Bible into Latin which still contained the apocrypha books but when the reformation occurred, the apocrypha were removed from the Canon though the oldest KJV of the Bible offers them in there version as extra Biblical books that contain historical context. The Roman Catholics, The Orthodox Church, and I believe the Coptics, consider them part of the Biblical Canon but most protestants denominations do not. Also the jews which recognize the Old Testament Bible as inspired do not accept these books as part of their Canon.

There is so much to say on that but I'll just say this...
The world is ruled by Satan. That is a fact if you believe in God. The world is not influenced by the Spirit. Anything that belongs to the world is not of God. As someone who has been delivered from the world by the blood of Jesus and homes his/her sight on where their true citizenship is and who they belong to understands that we need to worship God in Spirit for God is Spirit, we should never be influenced by the world or look to the world for inspiration to seek to worship God. We should instead be moved and be led by the Spirit to worship in spirit. Thats what I mean when I say secular mixing.
So in everything we must test ourselves that we don't fall under influence of our adversary's tactics to stray away from true worship to a True and Living and Holy God.
