  • Today, we are taking you for afternoon tea at the 5-star Llao Llao Hotel! The Llao Llao is one of the most famous hotels not only in Patagonia but in all of Argentina. This luxury hotel is located in the outskirts of Bariloche, a popular destination for skiing and trekking in northern Patagonia. The hotel sits on a hill between the lakes Nahuel Huapi and Moreno, and it’s flanked by the peaks of Mount Lopez and Mount Tronador in the background. It’s pretty much a slice of paradise!
    Interestingly enough, this hotel was designed in the Canadian style with lots of stone and wood. When you walk down the halls and around the living area, it almost feels like you’re in a log cabin - albeit a very luxurious and cosy one.
    We had afternoon tea in the Winter Garden, where we enjoyed a buffet-style English tea with all sorts of scrumptious cakes, tarts, scones, muffins, brownies, chocolates and sandwiches. As a tip, it’s best to skip lunch and come hungry so that you can enjoy a little bit of everything. Aside from tea, we also got hot chocolate, cappuccinos, and some bubbly!
    The total came to $52 USD or $26 per person. Afternoon tea at the Llao Llao was a really fun way to spend the afternoon, and we'd highly recommend doing it if you visit Bariloche!
    What's been your favourite afternoon tea experience?!

    We had AFTERNOON TEA at the 5-star LUXURY Llao Llao Hotel in Bariloche, Argentina! 🍰:
    Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
    We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.
    We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.
    While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina.
    Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival.
    We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.
    To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.
    Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.

    Mhh - that looked all so delicious. I had the best hot chocolate in my life in a cafe in Buenos Aires. They heated up a large cup of half milk and half cream and dissolved a whole bar of top quality medium dark milk chocolate in each cup. Originally we wanted to order some alfojores or medialunas or other goodies to accompany the choco but we were so happy that we didn't because it was so rich and filling that we almost couldn't move afterwards 😉 And... speaking of choco heaven in Argentina: On our last day in BA we had a cake in an unspectacular cafe at a corner. The cake was called "Control Mental" and looked amazing. We ordered 1 piece each and the waitress did ask twice if we are sure 😉After the first bites we knew why... It was a huge pice of chocolate cake made of 3 layers of chocolate biscuit filled with dulce de leche, milk chocolate cream, dark chocolate cream and heavy nougat cream. It was glazed with chocolate and covered with dark chocolate shavings. Probably 1 mil of calories each piece. I finished mine to maybe 80% but Christina ate it to the last crumb and the waitress gave us complimentary brandy. We went home to our apartement like on drugs and slept like babies 😁

    This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The breakfast was great and as a golfer, there were enough activities to keep us occupied and having tried only 2 of the restaurants, both were very good. Sushi night was not the best however but the place it was at was gorgeous.

      Tourism, services and natural resources types of jobs would be the most common.

    • @Camila-ku8rk
      @Camila-ku8rk 4 роки тому +2

      @kronos77 Depends on the area. Sam and Audrey only visited the touristry towns, for example Bariloche has mainly winter ski/summer tourism and there also a small nuclear plant. Bolson and Lago Puelo: tourism and public employement. But in the eastern Patagonia you have harbors so there's fishing, farming, industries and in Comodoro Rivadavia (the biggest city in Patagonia) the main activity is fracking (petrol)

    • @luiscarracedo7793
      @luiscarracedo7793 4 роки тому +3

      yes, petrol, fishing, tourism (skiing, trekking), in North Patagonian Valley fruits (apples, pears, plums, peaches, raspberry, strawberry), real good wines too!, also in certain valley in south Patagonia, flowers (specially roses and tulips) You have Aluminium plant, coal, wool (Benetton own a huge property) hidroelectrical plants, now wind mill farms. You have INVAP and Balseiro Institute in Bariloche they made satellites and is where the mayor scientist in math, physicists are formed. The territory is almost third part of Argentina, but only 2.5M people lived there, especially in cities like Bariloche 125K, Neuquen 240K, Comodoro Rivadavia 200K, Ushuaia 80K (that is the entrance door for Antartic continent)
