the game selection and the amount of games are what ruined it for me, some games had really long and obnoxious quests, while others had quests that took like 30 seconds. the lack of quality and inconsistency of the games and quests is another problem this event has.
uh strongest battle ground and the RNG ones are annoying and mimic basically the games that are too long or hard what makes it suck for me especially the strongest battle ground they made it hard I don't even play the game I'm still trying to get this s they could have at least made it a bit more fun than making it feel like a speedrun

Mhm. I started The Hunt with Lumber Tycoon 2, and that quest only took like a few minutes to complete. But then you get to games like Steep Steps that have such difficult requirements that it really kills the motivation to play. At least Rolve put effort into the event mission for Arsenal.
I feel like Roblox needs to enforce some sort of checklist for devs to follow when adding events to their games. Events like these would be fun if the challenge was equal across the entire board instead of being weirdly inconsistent.

i think my favorite part of The Hunt is the fact that a lot of devs thought "THE HUNT" referred to an *_Egg_* Hunt and subsequently made Easter-based badge requirements, like finding eggs

after clocking in 26 hours doing this event I have manage to get 75 badges... This event really isnt made for the casual player and some of the requirements for these badges are just so terrible. Project Smash somehow did it the worst by having 16 people in a lobby on a smallish map and having 1 egg spawn every 10 mins. Worst part is you literally cant play with friends OR join small lobbies for high chances. NDS did the same thing but you could actually join small lobbies and they were per map not actually time based. Im happy some devs actually went the extra mile but roblox should've been way stricter on what was allowed in the event.

the biggest issue i have with this event is that the quality gap is insane. some games have amazing quests to get the badge while others have nothing special and the quest is to just play the game with nothing different
That's the problem with trying to shove random games into a large event. The reason most ppl like 2018's egg hunt is because it was its own large experience that anyone could hop onto.

I love how you have some games that actually put effort into the quest like TDS, and then you have things like.. Ninja legends (which btw has 2 other games that have the SAME QUEST!)

Throughout this event I've gone into places that have any of the following bad qualities
>not even indicating anywhere how to do the hunt objectives
>an objective that wasn’t ready by the event's launch
>objectives that expect you to have friends that play roblox or else you can't reliably complete them
>objectives that take really long times (a lot of simulators are guilty of this); the longest one I've done was Obby But You're On A Bike at 1 hour 12 minutes long
>objectives that don't require any real input and are just waiting
>objectives that are heavily RNG based
>objectives that are easily griefable by other players
>and constant grinding garbage
And there's ones that combine several of these bad qualities.

obby on a bike gave me the badge when I completed world 4. Idk if that means I either broke it or the quests are just a complete lie and you have to complete world 4 to get it (which was a huge difficulty spike to world 3 anyway)
The first one is slap battles. I was in a server for 2 HOURS until I gave up and looked for a guide and the mission still took me ANOTHER HOUR because of how trash the mission is.

The Hunt is like if you took the Metaverse Champions event, added a dash of Egg Hunt 2015, and ran it through the dishwasher and microwaved it.
Even tho egg hunt 2020 and 2019 werent the greatest compared to 2018 and 2017, at least when we got a badge, we got our egg, but in the hunt, they made this so damn long, and the items arent that great for the ammount of badges you need to collect

I joined the vault lobby first, then went into dress and impress because that's what the first game that popped up was, spent 10 mins collecting 40 bunnies that run around the dressing room in 5 predefined paths, returned to the vault lobby, realized I have to complete atleast 5 more dumb quests to get some crappy necklace I don't even like, remembered I have 10k robux in my account to spend on UGC if I ever wanted to change my avatar and I don't need to do this repetetive crap and I decided to play Gothic 2: Night of the Raven instead. I only really had incentive to do any events when I was a kid with no robux and I wanted some new drip. Back when UGC didn't exist, any new free accessory was something I craved. Not anymore tho. It's 2024. Roblox needs to step up their game when it comes to new hats and lower their prizes. No sane person should spend a couple thousand robux on one item anymore when you can get tens or even hundreds of higher quality items made by UGC creators for the same amount.

Roblox events becomes boring after 2020, because of the lack of seasonal events and rush into the sponsored events, they removed good events like Egg Hunts (not the Dev Hunts) for no reason at all and replaces with this generic events like Metaverse Champions and The Hunt.
In my opinion, the problems of The Hunt are the big amount of games that forces the player to learn 95-100 new mechanics just to get one badge each game, I don't need to explain why this is bad, because most of the time you will play the game just to get the badge, and if you are bad at an specific type of game (like me, I don't play/like this anime battlegrounds games), welp the player will have an big problem, making an badge that was designed to take 5 minutes to get takes hours of gameplay, and thats leads to our second problem, like we seen in the past events like Ready Player One, that Phantom Forces mission, the first part of the mission was the most anoying one ever, because it mix players that wants to play the game normally and the ones that is playing for the prize, and both sides becomes angry with the situation, and the same problem is happening on this event, like the Blade Ball, The Strongest Battlegrounds missions for example, and that makes the experience of both sides ruined and painful for the ones that only want the prize , and my other problem of this event is the bad choice of games to host the events, alot of peoples already say that, but that is the most true of this event, most of the games feels like Cashgrabs, Pay 2 Win, and No creativity games, like the simulators, they are the most example of this games, they are games made for money and not to give fun for the player, and another point to say is that most of the objectives are SO dumb and braindead, the lore of the event is about the "Time", So Why There are objectives that aims for "kill an certain amount of players", or "grab an item that randomly spawns in the map", or even "complete an certain amount of levels", how is that supposed to make analogy of "Time" besides of the time spended of the game?
There are games with good objectives and makes analogy of time, but most of then makes no sense of the event and fells more like an lazy task just to make an excuse to play the game for more than 15 minutes.
In conclussion, I'm NOT saying that Roblox Events are bad and needs to be removed, the decision of removing the events was one of the most bad mistakes made by Roblox, the events are an tradition and HAVE to stand in the platform, but completely change something that already was Awesome, is an big flaw in my opinion, the best fixs to this is bring back Seasonal Events, bring back the Original Egg Hunt formula (every egg is in one game), and Roblox putting more effort in the objectives of the events and not let alot of different developers makes the entire work, everyone has different ways of think, and thats turns into an completely chaos if bring alot of different developers.
Note 1: I'm not saying that this event is bad, I just focused on the flaws of the event, just to Roblox fix they and make better events in the future, and The Hunt event is an good sing of the return of the events, I'm not kidding, alot of players dreamed that Roblox brings back the events because how fun they are.

Not really, most of the games can be beginner friendly (except strongman simulator and those bike obby games), from there it is easy to clear, and if you're a peanut-headed person then I'd recommend watching Conor3D for tutorials.
agree, some quests autocomplete themselves upon joining if you played for long enough before, which is unfair for newer players (exmpl: ninja legends, played it since early november 2019 so when i joined for the hunt the game just inmediately gave me the badge since all the quests were completed almost 4 years ago)
Sometimes it’s just a skill issue. It happened with me for strongest battlegrounds and I was always in servers with people who have played hours and so I struggled hard to beat it

My biggest issue with the hunt is:
- Theres way too many games
- A good chunk of them are not even worth getting
- A small amount of them were actually well made, for example arsenal, their game for the hunt was really good because you actually had to fight your way through
- The amount of badges oh my days
95 badges for 5 items?! And some of them dont even work

Blade ball did something scummy, they made the requirements easy to get approved then hours after buffed 3 eliminations to 75, etc. it's crazy how people get away with this

-Do this super easy task and you're good to go!
-Play our game for hours upon and end and waste your braincells.
3rd type: Let's go all out and create a fun and enjoyable quest with reasonable difficulty (very rare but happens)

I hope that for the "second edition" of The Hunt or potentially the next egg hunt they actually make it fun, with at least 15-30 games to choose from, and every game you play you can get an item/egg.
I've been playing some of The Hunt and I think most of it is super grindy and unfun and then the rest is cashgrabs and easy ones (ex: snowboard obby)
There are some fun ones tho.
Also I feel like lots of games forgot to update and lots of them don't have any hints for that to do.
Also tried playing the Warrior Cats event and I spent 2 hours and somehow still didn't get the prize idk.
I think the funnest game so far is Catalog Avatar Creator, pretty sure I got the badge but I'm still playing that game, hope they jeep it XD

In the second edition (if there is going to be one), here's a list of things I think would make the event.
1. Limit the amount of games that are selected. I'm not going to spend half my day trying to collect a minimum of 10 badges a day.
2. Select QUALITY GAMES with ACTUAL BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS put into their event levels, like Doors, Piggy and Arsenal.
3. Either make the accessories worth getting or have each game have their own UGC you can collect for free, via completing their individual quests.
Roblox has made the special effects available on R6 and fixed scaling issues for the items. (and made that 36k sword pack limited)
I hate how most of the games in the hunt that were selected are either incredibly trash cash grabs, clickbait stupid skibidi toilet games or other crap.
And then, even if the game isn't bad, it's either tedious or unfun to do.
Toilet tower defense singlehandedly made it 5 times easier to trash on the event
And those weird ass roleplay games. God, idk why roblox picked some terrible games in the event

None of these games are consistent. Some requires you to finish a whole tycoon which takes over an hour while others put no effort and takes me five minutes.
As someone who has been playing Roblox ever since 2020, the only fun part about it for me was finding new games that are actually fun to play. But I hate the fact they added a gold track of prizes which are just retextured like no one is paying 800 Robux for that. I hope they way more prizes than this in the future. Some games need to you to play the whole entire game then you'll be able to get the badge and I'm talking about those simulator games. While other games took long to play I'm happy that Roblox at least made an egg hunt I mean a devhunt.
part of the problem I feel is also that Roblox only selected top page games, which aren’t exactly known for their quality and passion. So when some of these devs added The Hunt events into their game the flaws carried on.

It sucks that epic minigames and horrific housing wasn't included in the hunt. Instead they pick garbage games like toilet tower defense and pet simulator
I was actually surprised they picked skibdidi totlied defense over an actually good game like randomly generated droids or world tower defense.
I was so confused when I saw that one in the Egg Hunt selection. Like huh? Well okay then-
Doors is like the one major game I know of that has a good Hunt Easter egg.
My main problem with this event is how mixed some of these quests can be, some are really well made like Catalog Avatar Creator, which made a full new game imitating old roblox, while others are just pure grind fests that make you fall asleep on your chair, like Lumberjack Simulator and Pull a Sword, both taking around 30-40 minutes of pure grinding just to finish their quests. If there was a standard that games had to meet to participate in the event, i think it would be a lot better, i get it might make the game selection list smaller, but quality over quantity is always better
Right!! I was really surprised with how good Bayside High School's quest was, but Pull a Sword.. I honestly just pulled up an autoclicker and went AFK.
Doors was amazing, the fact they had to pull off a whole new floor just for this event is insane. Now others like arm wrestling simulator (I dont know the name) is just complete grindness and it takes SO long.

it would honestly be waay better if they actually added all the old blue retextured accessories for the hunt prizes and the last one being the Commando. That way people would find the badge grinding to be somewhat worth it, considering they look away better than the current prizes and everyone was hyped for the commando when it got leaked
The worst part is that most of these games did extremely lazy or bad ways to get a badge, in some games I understand like Adopt Me, a game mostly played by young children, so it had to be a bit easy (not that easy tho but ok) but others like legends of speed could have done better, as you literally join the game and get the badge. This is likely because 1.laziness 2. lack of time to do a good stuff, but still confused on how for example Arsenal did such a good badge.
what I really hoped for this event (and future dev hunts if they continue) was for Roblox to give recognition to smaller indie roblox games like The Battle Bricks, Phighting, and others (with each developer being okay with it of course). It would be beneficial to those games to get the spotlight they deserve because they pour their heart out into their projects unlike other "games" (Sol's RNG).
Sols rng isn't even fun. This is just choosing marketable but terrible games for their selection, they don't know what to do because they didn't really study how to make it good (they studied marketability) and they end up as garbage. The only one I had fun with so far is TDS. Toilet tower defense was soooo boring to do.

I'm a christian myself, and egg hunting has no correlation to christianity, actually, there are christians who even believe egg hunting has pagan roots. They didn’t even need to do eggs they just needed the devs to make their own items instead of an awful battle pass.
The thing I hate the most is the amount of simulators in the event so many of them you have to grind to get the badge thing and other games just flat out make you stay in the game for the longest amount of time which is probably just for premium payouts
when I first saw videos about this "hunt" I got SUPER hyped, I've done a few egg hunts in the past and they were super fun, so seeing that this event was happening (after a long time with no events that weren't corporate cash grabs with mid prizes or just full rthro prizes) very much contributed to that. When I heard it wasn't going to be an egg hunt, I got pretty disappointed, but was still a little excited for the event after seeing prize leaks (prior to the whole "they're just rthro avatar items lolololo"). Things started to change my view on the event when I saw that you had to collect many badges from different games, and what those games where. Then the day came for the game, and I was really disappointed... the battle pass looking prize system, some of the prizes being broken, the trash item sale that happens every day, and the missions for the events. I don't even play/haven't played over half of the games that were in the event, so it was just a bore for me seeing that most of them were collect-o-thons anyways. I was going to just get the wings and be over with this event, but because of how boring the missions are I feel like I've just lost interest for now and motivation as well. I do have hope though for the future of these events, especially since this is only a test run (kinda) and HOPEFULLY they will actually implement things that us as the community wants, and maybe pick games that aren't grindy cash grabs next time.
Game mini rant (sort of applies to the hunt but not rlly):
Two of the events for the games that I was looking forward to left me with mixed feelings. Doors had this detailed complicated-looking event that was fun, but yet if they could do that in this short amount of time then where's floor 2? Dragon adventure's event was mid, didn't really offer anything special either and the ugc sold out in under an hour it seems.

Very optimistic thing to say, but like it's so hard not to be pessimistic about roblox improving on their mistakes, it's hard to imagine roblox showing that they are, in fact, taking criticism.
Also irrelevant side note, if you went into this event believing it was going to be good then you just set yourself up for failure.

They definetely have to be more selective for future versions of this hunt. There are tons of games that just promote staying in game for a certain amount of time doing fuck’all. (Looking at EVERY last simulator in this grouping, as well as the random games that don’t give you any hint on what to do/where to go)

most quests are long and tedious, obby but you're on a bike's quest basically requires you to play through the entire game, as well as pet simulator's quest which requires you to play until you reach area 20
Pet sims quest wasn't that bad imo, just spam all the free power ups you get. However ride a bike is just tedious and frustrating. Like why is there even a time limit??
I think most of us expected ending like this. Years of dissapointment and some useless merches that no one is using, after all this i don't think anyone can expect something good from roblox.

Most Roblox games don't have gameplay, they basically require you to spend hours farming so you can level up and go to a new world, And this basically starts the whole game over again, but now things have new skins, or you can pay to be stronger than everyone who has played the game, And besides the rebirth systems that are simply there for you to spend more time in the game, these types of games never have gamplay, They are basically money farms, they are boring, repetitive, time consuming and always trying to sell you something, this is the type of game that exists most on roblox, Furthermore, Roblox loves this type of game, and is always recommending it to everyone, as it is what brings them the most profit.

I definitely agree with not liking how you have to do *95* games to get only *5* rewards and *that's it!*
(Not to mention the five other prizes you have to pay for to unlock as well. It doesn't feel worth it to grind hundreds of hours on multiple games for just five accessories, and that's it.)

2 of my favorite quests so far are for spray paint, and tds. in tds you get a selected tower loadout and have to fight through 10 waves of korblox themed enemies, and spray paint: ask homeless joe whats wrong, he says a thief stole them, find the thief, draw a portrait of the thief so he gives you them the cans, turns out some dogs stole the pack of the cans, find the cans, give them to homeless joe, watch homeless joe do fire dancing
2020 egg hunt was the first hunt I actually almost completed, and I liked it. I never had the time to do the older ones.

About some of the games being cash grabs, one of the games (the teamwork obby one) makes you invite EVERY SINGLE FRIEND YOU HAVE TO GET THE BADGE.
I have 200 friends, and it makes you click twice to invite someone which means I'd be there for a DAMN LONG TIME which is just a fucking sin, along with it having so many microtransactions. Just saying that because I thought it might be important

I have a lot of problems: 1. Some of the games have bugs which makes it a lot harder or even impossible to get the badge. 2. Some games are not putting in any effort which just makes it boring to play. 3. Some games make it very confusing on how to get the badge because they don’t explain what to do very well, or make it very hard to even find the objective for the badge. 4. Some of the accessories in the event are overpriced, luckily I still have saved all my Robux that I got for Christmas left but some of the accessories costs like 50$ which sucks for the people who can’t afford it.
I think that this event is actually pretty good, though there are many things that can be improved. Consistency in the "quests" is just not there, which makes some quests be a minute and some quests be an hour. I also think that the event should be harder, as the event is honestly too easy so far.
The hunt is litterally just metaverse champions but with some pay to get prizes and a boring color scheme. And most games freaking suck if you have never played them, plus so many coins for some crappy rhtro and boring color scheme items is not a reason I would play when most games will take like 2 hours each since you have to grind so much sucks man. And what’s worse, you feel you get 0 progression every time you do a game so it makes you want to quit.
Problem is metaverse champs was just a lot more hype too. The items alone were cool because you didn’t know what they would be until they were unboxed and they gave one of the coolest free items ever in the metaverse Valkyrie

Roblox focused too much on going for quantity rather than quality, and the games that were chosen are the main reasons it’s bad, every day im less motivated to get more badges. Got 36 on the first day, 11 on the second, and only have got like 2 so far today.

The Piggy quest was my favorite one so far. There was so much care and effort put into it considering there was a whole new character and map for a level designed exclusively for the event

Hi! Currently working on The Hunt as I plan to 100% it, and things have dropped in quality severely on the second and third days. I'm currently ~25 badges in, and most games me & my friend play through (me and her are progressing together) are just over-saturated glorified clicking simulators. For the majority of these "games", their quests are just to progress to a certain point to get the badge. Nothing fun, nothing original, nothing like the 15 or so games with well thought out quests that me and my friend cherry picked on the first day. Even some of the most popular, well funded games such as Pet Simulator 99 had their quests as simple as "Progress to Area X". It took me and my friend AN HOUR to complete Pet Sim 99, and I had a migraine afterwards; mind you, we were progressing much faster than most because we were macro-ing buffs and other boosts just to get out as fast as possible. We were autoclicking even, but nope, we had to spend an hour literally just playing the game for their pathetic "quest".
Even games that had original, well thought out quests such as Piggy were highly buggy, and we took an hour to clear it not because of a lack of skill or understanding, but because it broke several times. Games like Hello Kitty Cafe broke several times as we completed the quests (which was just to serve 100 customers.. come on, guys), and it proves that only a small selection of developers actually put thought into their quests.
Not just that, but several games we've played so far had their quests convoluted, sometimes we didn't even know what the objective was. Again referencing Hello Kitty Cafe, the only place I could find in game actually telling you the quest was on a billboard that constantly changed and you spawned away from, and due to the fact that the game had so many popups, I don't expect many to catch that. In the chat I saw people asking what the quest was, and in fact, we were lucky that the quest was explained in the badges under the game page.
Overall, I'm not disappointed in Roblox for the most part. Would the event be MUCH MUCH better if they implemented standards so each quest came out similar to DOORS or Piggy's? Absolutely. Would that drop the amount of games in the event to MAYBE 20? Also absolutely. This is the fault of the developers. I'm so disappointed of the state of the average game on the front page, I'm disappointed in the loss of community in almost EVERY game, I'm disappointed in the developers. Coming from someone who first played in 2016, I personally watched Roblox games and the people playing become more and more lifeless, and this platform is nothing but a husk of what it once was. This isn't even a platform anymore, it's just a market. You're lucky if you can find something worth your time, that won't try and drain you/most likely your parents' wallets.
This event is nothing but wasted potential.

i'm not gonna 100% it but ive already gotten the bare minimum for the crown and i agree with all of your points. the fact that roblox just looked at the front page and said "hmm yes today i will ask toilet tower defense if they would like to be in our first event in four years" is really dissappointing. there were some really good games though, but they were in the severe minority. strongest, doors, piggy, ect. i'd give the event a 5/10. not great or very fun, but at least it's something.

One good thing about the Hunt is that it made it easier for me to find some cool and interesting games I didn’t know existed before. I actually spent a while in some of them after getting the event badges.

one thing what i definitely wanna to see in next Dev Hunt event is, for example, more support for small developers what can make good or AMAZING games, so people can know about the existence of these games, and also cause i've seen a bit of bad or trash games being able to parcitipate, like these the floor is lava game what was allowed to be part of The Hunt.

Also, each badge takes ages to get. Each badge takes about 45 mins on average (and there are some very long ones, with the shortest taking about 15 to 20 minutes and the longest about an hour). the fact that they expect you to complete 95 of these and only give you 15 days is insane ☠️
Some of these games are also very janky and it seems too unprofessional to be in an official roblox event. But i appreciate the effort some of these games did clearly put in

You're being partially wrong here, the shortest badge is actually weight lifting legends/simulator (idk I forgor name) which only takes 2 minutes (redeem their code MillionWarriors which gives 1.5K strength, and from there just grind it out) and 5-7 minutes (Ninja Legends, just camp the sell area and keep upgrading your clicker thingy stick, while also keeping consistency of your belt capacity)

My first roblox event that I actively played was Egg Hunt 2019. Being the first game that they somewhat introduced dev hunts. I loved it (my one regret was being too bad to be able to defeat Eggwick). Next 2020. I went all out on this one. All 52 eggs in 6 hours. It was a short, nice egg dev hunt. It also introduced me to a bunch of good new games and revisited some old ones. Yeah, being little story wasn't that good, I still loved it regardless. I never really played 2018. Got the Inkwell Egg, then proceeded to get lost
My biggest complaint is that the classic items weren't prizes and that a lot of games had seemingly lazy quests.
I quit immediately after getting the first prize, not worth my time. I tried getting more badges than just 5, but I found myself entirely skipping games because their challenge was too grindy, or they just had no indication of what I had to do. There clearly was no quality control done by Roblox to ensure developers made challenges that weren't objectively bad, or exploitative. The quality of many things in this event make me think that it could have been rushed. I am looking at this event from an unbiased perspective (not taking into account it's the first real event in 4 years), and this is the bottom of the barrel.

The only game I played from the Event was "Escape Running Head" where you complete different stages all while avoiding various Felipe heads (Felipe being a character made by Albert from @Flamingo), and it was honestly quite fun, I didn't really look at a lot of the other games, but I did see a game I've played before on there.
This gives the same amount of items as those old one week events that lasted in like 1-3 games
It's like the metaverse event but with somehow less personality

Although the event isn’t the best, I’m glad that we are at least getting events again. I’m pretty sure as time goes on they will be able to make these hunts better. Who knows, maybe the REAL egg hunt could return someday, this event has paved the road for that chance to happen after all.
I couldn't agree more with this video. I hope the next events can be any better than this one, so many games that were probably made with the feet and where most of the buttons are gamepasses. So little prizes and so many quests to obtain them, thats probably what this event is.

Look, I’m happy that roblox has considered doing this over their metaverse spew again, and the fact that they said they’re using this event to try and gage what the community wants in terms of events makes me very hopeful for the future. However, the hunt as it sits now is too much content not enough reward. Even for a dev hunt (which have their own issues but whatever) the fact that there’s 95 games and only like 10 prizes (5 if you don’t have like 800 robux to spend) isn’t enough and honestly I stopped after my first game which was sonic speed simulator. If they had a reward per game that’d be amazing and I’d gladly engage more, but as it stands it just doesn’t feel worth it
Again, happy roblox is doing non-sponsored events again, it’s a HUGE step in the right direction, but they have a lot of work cut out for them to figure out how to do the second edition.
This is how I feel. Although I didn’t express it I’m glad they still did an event(even if it’s bad) hopefully next time they learn from mistakes and can create something amazing. I don’t want this to go out as wasted potential

The Skibidi Tower Defense bug is what gets me, one of the quests requires you to finish a trade, but mine got bugged with "not found" on the button, i have been trying to contact the discord staffs, the player base, yet the ignored me.
In the other hand, the one piece battlegrounds is also obnoxious, you have to kill 2 players in a streak, if you are a new player you won't get as much access to even your own skill slots against active players with their hundreds of levels.
one big problem for me is every time you step through a portal its a gamble either its a short quest a long grindy quest a long good quest you never know what either good or terrible thing is behind the door until you step through

I agree. The ranges to how insanely hard or extremely easy the quests are for games is insane. One game I normally play has two eggs that only spawn during a certain event, but due to the horribly long day/night and weather cycles, its almost impossible, and the eggs don't even spawn like they are supposed to half the time! 😭
The Hunt is one of the first events I actually participated in (I tried some past egg hunts over the decade I’ve been playing roblox but was too young to understand them because 10 year old me was stupid) and I managed to get my goal of 60 badges before tapping. Only a handful of games went all out and did something half didn’t try and don’t get me started of afking 8 QUARTERS OF FUSION FOOTBALL. My favourite games of the event had dedicated sub servers or areas that kept the hunt separate from their main player base while showcasing what their game is about.
I’m going to have nightmares of fusion football and grinding to area 20 in pet sim 99, that game made me avoid SpongeBob sim like the plague
what i would do to fix these events is have just a few games, like 5 to 10, that have multiple quests in them, i get what they're trying to do with the dev hunts, give the chance to developers in the platform for their game to shine, but half the time these games are simulator slop games with ZERO soul put behind them, and it bothers me a lot. i think reducing it to 5 to 10 would be enough, making sure the quality of these games is good to filter out any simulators with different quests inside them that not only teach you the game if it's your first time playing (like car crushers 2 did this in this hunt) but that are actually fun and reward the player with 1 or 3 prizes per game. so, cutting it down to 5 to 10 games with 1 to 3 prizes each would not only be less of a grind, but would feel much worthwhile because of how many rewards you can get if you invest a little more time in each game
while i do think having one game like the 2018 egg hunt with solid mechanics and actually great gameplay would be amazing, i do not think roblox wants to do that anymore, again, because they want other developers to have a chance, so in that case, reducing the amount of games, having more prizes per game, and making the quests less grindy but actually fun would definitely fix a lot of the issues people have with these events. i hope roblox can learn from this and make one of the best events in the platform in the future

The Natural Disaster Survival quest might as well be classified as a torture device, every time you see a clock and try to grab one someone always gets it first.
It wouldn't be so bad if the clocks had a high spawn rate or if you only needed to collect one clock.

I agreed. Combat warriors did a great job making the Behelit UGC. I wasn't going to get the other two Behelit hats, but I still had fun doing it.
Pet simulator 99 just took this event as a opportunity to get you addicted into their game (reaching area 20 takes a hour with boost spamming)
The Hunt is basically like a placeholder for dev hunts, it feels like a blank canvas to me.
Game that are good = Good hunt event badge
game that are bad = bad hunt event badge
you look at doors and 3008 and natural distasters that have unique things that make you do new things while expericing the game and thats cool, while you have games profiting off of the fact that they were chosing to do the hunt, but again games like doors actually did something cool and are not putting some little challange like "beat the game!" No, they made an entire new level with new mechanics and connect it to the lore for the game, there was clear time and effort and thought proccess put into making the backdoors and I really appreciate what all these good games did.
Natural disaster survival had an awful hunt quest. It was basically RNG and P2W if you had a balloon.
3008 is pretty goddamn time consuming and rng based, you gotta pray 90% of the time the night quest has something you stocked or else you're screwed that whole night

The thing about this event was when I learned about it, I sort of brushed it off knowing that it wasn’t going to be too good, with the thought that if it was good I would be impressed. I haven’t even participated in the event, and outside of doors, I have no intention of participating.

Idk what they’re talking about the prizes (especially the gold versions) are one of the best looking items we’ve got from events, the crown has a holographic horn effect and the wings have such cool effects also. what is different between the hunt and egghunt, Egghunts used to give you a reward for each quest you do, but the hunt is less rewarding, and more of a grind type event.
Egg hunt gives you a prize for each badge and there are usually 20 to 30 eggs. It takes like 5-6 days to get them all.
The hunt gives you a prize for a certain amount of badges. Its gonna take me days of no going outside to get 95 badges. Im at 5 right now.

The sheer amount of simulators in the event told me from the getgo that I wasn't going to get every badge. I don't have the patience or mindlessness to spend several hours each on a dozen different games that are all identical clickers.
I have nearly gotten the 20 badge prize and I only had fun with Steep Steps. The rest (most of them) are just "hold one key to win" or "afk and win".
No clue what you were expecting from Roblox of all companies.
