@@commanderhall848 Awesome 👏 👏 👏 I’m so happy to hear that for you. Rare nowdays on modern sedans. Was it easy to get the police brackets out to fit the bench seat?
That 2015 is not a police edition. 2012-2016 came with 17’ police wheels. The only police edition impala that came with carpet are the 9c3 detective edition
I just bought a 08 Chevy Impala please package the three-pointer nine how many miles is on yours and do you have any issues with your leaking upfront? The coolant lines are leaking on mine but that’s about it.
Great looking vehicles. I just bought an 09' for security patrol and love it. Did you ever find a center console for you 08'? If not I can probably help ya out with that. I use to work in mobile customization back in the day and just made my own. Can make one from metal, wood or fiberglass. I went with MDF board covered with black sub box carpet. Cut the 12V plugs off the lights and wired them to a 3 switch panel with a momentary toggle to select through the various patterns, then put a couple 12V plugs in for accessories and ran one inside the console and have a phone cable plugged in and running out of the console, keeping everything very clean looking and functional. If ya ever need help with a custom console would be happy to help. Keep up the great vids brother, stay well out there!
Very cool comparison. I have a civilian 2014 Chevy Impala Limited so I know a lot of the stuff you're saying is spot on. The antenna on the roof is for OnStar and possibly XM Radio. I'm wondering if your 2008 has the OnStar delete package or if those police cruisers didn't have them installed by default. I believe in 2012 is when the chrome bar on the truck went away, I think it was the same year the 3.6 was the only engine available across the board. I don't like that the only way to open the trunk on the later models is with the remote or the trunk release inside in case the battery dies or if you're in an accident and lose power, you either have to hope you can crawl through the backseat or you have to cut the thing open. I added the side Impala logos on mine since it also didn't come with them on the side. I also took the Impala script writing from a 2000-2005 Impala's dashboard and pasted it on the lower right part of the woodgrain trim on the passenger side. Going back to the exterior, I think the grill changed in 2012 as well as part of the face lift. It reminds me a bit more of a 7th gen Malibu LTZ, the silver mesh color.
On Impala s. On the left side on the trunk by the rear light there is sticker with codes the c 9 1 is a detective model mine has a roll out shelf underneath the trunk lid.also has the rifle carrier still intact.has the cop rims heavy duty radiator alternator .still running strong good car 🚨🚨
The post in the middle is a computer mount or dildo mount depending on the department LOL. LKQ has a lot of impala's so a console should not be too hard to find.
Good vehicles! Have a 2011 that still kicks ass. 2011 was also the last model year to offer a 3.5 or 3.9L option. This was also the last year for the four speed. The Ninth Gen impala lasted so long to see a transition from a early 2000s era of automotive technology to the 2010s. By 2012 for model years 2012-2013 2014-2016 (impala limited) the sedan went to a sole engine... the 3.6 VVT V6 and a SIX SPEED transmission. Same VVT engine should have been introduced in 2014 as well fot the NEW AT THE TIME Tenth Gen impala. Between 2006-09 you had most options thanks to the 5.3L V8 in the SS. The impala also got a refresh in 2012 which included the Honey comb grill used on the 2006-09 SS so basically a re used grill. Interior choices on trims also changed over time
@@fandechavalones3022yes you can. Fairly easy to do. Gonna need the shift cable, shifter assembly, mounting brackets for the center console, hardware ect. Even easier vise versa to convert to steering column shifter. Also that 2015 is not a 9c1
Enough people have told you, but I'll say it again: JIST LOOK UNDER THE TRUNK LID AT THE OPTION CODE LIST ON THE RECTANGUALR STICKER. It will either tell you is is a 9C3 if you see that simple code, or it will tell you it's not when you don't.
@@commanderhall848 it's likely a post mount for some kind of electronics stand. Probably for a laptop or tablet. It's missing the part that clamps onto that post. Usually the laptop or tablet will be mounted on an arm that clamps to that post.

That pole in the ground was for a Toughbook/Laptop tray
You can also get a front middle bench seat instead of a counsol since you have the column shifter on the 08 one.
Right and that's what I did

Yes I've had coolant leaks and leaks from the AC lines
I got a 2013 and love it! The 2015 will smoke the 08 in a drag race. The 2015 has 305hp and special police tune to the engine and transmission
