I think it was a 4020; in my area the Simplex guys tended to leave the default access codes in so I fixed the times when I could. And if I remembered to. That panel is gone now, they had to add devices and put in a 4007.
@@dale4231 It may not have been a 4007, I don't remember specifically but I thought it was. Hybrid panel, did both conventional and addressable so whatever panel that is. Simplex is irrelevant to me for the most part unless I'm stuck servicing one of their dumb panels. They added duct detectors and my guess is that they went with whatever Simplex suggested. There were no zones left in the original panel and it would be logical to separate ducts out from other zones so I assume that's the reason they replaced the panel. It's still a clusterf***k, the system only trips trouble and alarm via a silent knight 5207 that's used as a dialer. I don't work for the company anymore because we were bought out by a dopey local company that thinks it is Apple. I got sick of talking about my feelings and answering to four managers so I went back on my own.
Wheelock MT in that low pitched tone, like a car horn . In 1998, IIRC, in the horticulture area in the Pierce building of Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center, a Wheelock MT was installed with that tone set. And outside of the room, Gentex SHGs in continuous were installed in 1996 or 1995. Was hornless and strobeless for at least roughly 150 feet before 1996 or 1995
Sorry I know this is an old video but I do have to ask would Simplex actually charge $8,000 just to adjust the clock to daylight savings or whatever the standard time is in your state?
"But we'd have to pay Simplex about $8,000 to change that." Would they really charge that much just to fix the clock? lol. And where was this at? Obviously the building was unoccupied or people might get mad at you for a 1:00 AM wakeup call lol
They use proprietary software that only their techs have, our system uses simplex 4100 and have so much limitation to them because they use a master key to access root system features not availble to us, not sure why they cant change time but it prob could be module related, hence the price.
Finally a system with mt on code 3 tone
Judging by the reaction time of the panel and the building size and age, it is definitely a 4020
Weird, Wheelock Multi-Tones on a Simplex system? I would assume they would use their own devices.
It’s a wheelock MT on code 3 tone
I thought it was going to start playing the Harry Potter theme
But when you have to change the time on a Notifier system, you have to pay Notifier nothing!
Notifier can do what Simplex can't
If that’s a 4020 you can change the date and time by going into access level 3. (I’m not trying to sound snarky)

The snarkiness is all me. Simplex is fun to make fun of. A company that charges $250 for a plastic box with a pull handle k
It has it coming.
brettman273 gee that’s expensive! And how did a 4007es replace such a giant buildings system. And what are the new devices?

Are those Gentex commander 3's or Wheelock MT horn strobes set on code-3 chime?
No idea, don't care unless they break.
Wheelock MTs on code 3 tone. If you wear a headphone, you'll hear one going off on continuous horn.
+bjthedjdutchdude1992 I heard it

Gary Beltz those are wheelock mt fire alarms on code 3 chime
do you still have any off that stuff you pulled out a while ago
Yes, probably more now.
are you willing to get of any of it because I would be interested
I think you broke the break rod...
It told him to.
Well usually fire alarm inspectors don’t break the break rods, instead they open up the pull station.
@@RyansColoradoRailProductions it's joke
Looks like a 4100U system
$8k to change the time on a panel. That’s outrageous
just reboot the panel and annunciator and then reset the time systemwide

8000 dollars to change date and time, really?
Simplex has the power to warp time!

Simplex is so ridiculous and secret. They only care about money. I'm sure you can change the time on any simplex panel
@@caleb0606 Yes you can. I find a hammer works well. Then I put a Fire Lite Panel in and all problems are fixed.
brettman273 but if a fire lite panel is not enough. use a Notifier 3030
