- Taped this back during the summer of 92 and can't stress enough how subversive it was at the time. I'm also glad I have the entire thing unedited to show the contrast between FNM and the rest of the program, which was like some kind of freshly scrubbed Gen X American Bandstand. Most people just post the segments, but here it is commercials and all for time period context. Later in 2004 I got to work with Karen Bryant on a Dell commercial and she had some great stories from her time at MTV.
Angel Dust is a magnificent album.
mtv, vhs, 92 i love.
I think my favorite Patton moment was when he was being interviewed and Wolfmother started playing, and Mike was like "What the fuck is this shit?"
Love it ❤️
The very first thing she did was talk about them like a piece of meat! Gross. Faith No More is awesome! Still love them. Enjoyed the commercials too.
28:20 lol
Did this show not catch on because it peaked too soon?
Like, there was nowhere to go after this episode!
See radio heads shitty swimming pool gig for proof....
Ten years later I worked with Karyn Bryant (one of the hosts), on a commercial and I asked her about the show. She said it was a dream having all those bands come in and play in such an intimate setting.
@@AndrewPatrickRalston amazing.!
Aquì, ya se empezaba a ver la falta de conexiòn entre Patton y Jim Martin, al parecer Jim martin es un tipo sin sentido del humor.
siempre fue asi jaja
17:10 here's the actual Faith No More interview part, if you don't wanna watch the other stuff... no offense...
Ok, this is some of the best music EVER FUCKING PLAYED IN HUMAN HISTORY, good lord, I just spent 30mins laughing my ass off, THE FNM GRINDCORE BAND RULED TOO!!!!! LOL!!!!!
wow. that tv show is very much of its time
Great post. Can someone post when Mike and Roddy hosted Headbangers ball earlier that week? Thanks
@@brian13451 For some reason I still can't find that full episode still only 2 small clips that I'm sure u have seen already
@@joshuafult84 Thank you. If it ever turns up, please post
I'm just imagining SOME of the (non-FNM) audience's disappointment and/or confusion in hearing this after expecting something a little bouncer & upbeat. Ha ha.
Flipping brilliant!
32:14 The moment that the minds of all audience/studio dancers were crushed forever and reassembled and rearranged as something more beautiful. To go from 7:00 to 29:13 in less than half an hour was heroic to say the least!
Right?!? I love that!
Finesse!
At least Mike Patton apologized to her for not listening to her.
