I'm with Luenell with this one. None of these "reality" tv stars have to put in work for anything. Hollywood used to be about integrity and talent. Growing up we were taught to work hard to achieve your dreams, but now you really don't have to. Getting pregnant by a celebrity, starring on a reality show, and making sex tapes is the way to achieve instant fame. They are people out here working their asses off and these come ups are taking their spots by doing absolutely nothing for it. Morality and hard work seems to have gone with the wind. Smdh!

Shoot, it's the opposite for me. My momma always used to say "you find out who your real friends are when you have nothing". I had a decent job, apartment, car, and my so called "friends" (and family members too) used me for everything they could while I was up (rides, loans, favors, you name it). As soon as I got laid off, ran through my savings, car issues, etc., i couldn't find these people. Only a few offered me rides to the store and to wash my clothes. As a matter of fact, most of my blessings came from strangers and neighbors. Now that I am back on my feet again, I am almost afraid of success. Biggie said it best: Mo' Money, Mo Problems, and problems I don't want.

Don't be afraid of success or stunt your growth -- just don't waste your time on the same people that used you and left you hanging.

enosynce Yes Lawd Preach ive done things my so called friends dont have the heart too do. Ive been doing stand up for a while had to start and stop because of my children and money issues. Yet ive never gave up became homeless and i was told thats what i get i aint shit im broke im a bum etc... Not all the way on my feet but im still doing comedy mainly in Ohio. I feel Luenell over 20 years of experience trumps reality star comedy night with nene leakes. I study the craft Luenell i get what your saying.

I think people are calling her a hater too fast. I get her points. Technology/society has changed alot these days. you don't have to have any substance to you these days to be considered great. I think luenell should have kept it as an inside thought though.

+TheLifemission Even tho what you're saying is true & I do agree Linell should have kept that to herself it is what it is. People are going to have to make moves differently because times are changing & it's going to continue to change. Worrying about if others have substance or not isn't helping your hustle. U just have to use this new technology how U see fit & focus on your own success.

I think Luenell is making a BIG mistake by coming for NeNe Leakes. Say what you want, but Hollyweird LOVES NeNe Leakes, she is truly a business woman and she could have put Luenell on a show in the future just by "playing the game". Black people always letting petty mess get in the way of networking and making that money. Crabs in a barrel mentality right here.

very true regarding ppl wanting to see you doing good just not better than them. this can apply to employers as well. when one of their employees finds a better job, they will change policies at will to make u seem like the bad guy. back in high school, I used to get called a sellout lol. mama worked hard to provide for my sister and I. our fathers were deceased so we were happy to get the things we had and to go to school everyday and hear ppl snickering in the halls as I pass by just made me wanted to drop out. mama had ways and to this day she has ways to put things in perspective and I listen cause mamas are never wrong. I went through college and so did my sister. I'm in respiratory and she's a nurse. it takes determination and will power to push through life. seems like the odds are against us to fail at birth since we are black. the ppl who had things to say back then, some have not progressed in life.

This video is lame, luenell was right! Respect the craft. It's people like ti, that make people like yung thug , and ice jj fish, rich! It's a difference between being an artist and a capitalist. NeNe is a capitalist parading as an artist. The danger of that is, when the money that should go to the artist is given to the capitalist, it kills the industry of new artist and all we're left with is phony art duplicated over and over until it is no longer profitable. Then the art gets abandoned all together and considered passe'.

5 takeaways from Ti's episode - 1) Folks love it when you're 'down' below them. They call when there's pain and discomfort in your life but dissapear when you start rising 2) Life isn't a field trip, you don't need a bunch of people along 3) Don't necessarily share your thoughts and ideas because there's a lot of 'Dream Killers' and Naysayers 4) Focus on the people who love your content and what you do because they motivate you and focusing on others takes energy away from your accomplishments 5) It's not anyone's job to say who can and can't do X (comedy) or Y (UA-cam videos) so don't waste time criticizing, throwing shade and trolling others

I think Luenell's points were blown out of proportion. It seems her rant was more based on her frustration with the industry, rather than directly at Nene. Bonafide comedians slave to get a job, and often don't, but, some new reality star gets the doors open wide for them. It came across hateful, etc., but, I don't think her attack was specifically for Nene, to be honest.

+mr hollands opus We had successful cities and towns, but once most Whites saw how well we were doing burned them all down and pitted up against each other to the point they can just sit back and watch us hurt our own. I own my own handmade business and most Blacks try to pull one over me or get an attitude when I advise them on what I charge to sew, knit, or crochet them something. It's like they are not willing to pay me for my hard work, but have no problems building up these rich White companies that do sloppy jobs. I wish that in school or even now we learned how successful we were and how we helped each other and had or own businesses and shops and get back to those days, but on a more successful level and make our forefathers proud.

I totally understand how Luenell feels. The musicians say the same thing (including Prince.) Reality Stars don't have to do shyt. They don't have a craft. All they have to do is get on television and act ratchet and then they are instantly famous. Anybody can be famous these days as long as they do some kind of video that goes viral. They don't have to work as hard as the people who really deserves recognition. I'm sorry, but I'm not really into reality shows---except for Ru Paul's Drag Race. That show is interesting and at least the contestants actually have talent. Anyway Luenell shouldn't be hypocritical like that. It's sad because I honestly don't even know who this woman is.

Leola Glamour you have no idea what I have seen. You have no right to come at me like that. You need to speak to me like a grown woman. You also need to learn how to agree to disagree. Marilyn Monroe was an icon. Her look was iconic. Why do you think that she is still famous decades after her death? You are definitely hating on her. I am not a huge huge fan of hers, but it is a fact that she does have more Talent than the reality stars. She was doing her own thing and making her own money way before she was dating famous men. Her personality and aura was rememberable. Why don't you look up the word ratchet in the dictionary. Apparently you don't know the definition.

Here's another possible perspective regarding your initial LA experience. Maybe people were calling you initially because they were genuinely worried about you. And once you got yourself together, there was no need to worry, so the frequent calls stop. It's hard to know people's motivations if you're not in their heads.

People have to understand those are NeNe fans that are coming to her shows... She made a show for them to see her so it will do good if she is good with hopes that it will create new fans for her. Imagine if Ti had a 2,000,000 subscribers which she will one day (I claim it lol) and she said that she was hosting an event that housed 1000 people. I bet the show would sell out too. When you create a brand and develop a following people will come. That's why comics do so well. Their fans follow them which is why Lunell is still in the game today because of her fans.

Mo'Nique may be a household name. But Luenell is working and Mo'Nique isn't!! So what does that really mean? Oh by the way, Luenell is one of my closest friends. She's one of the most genuine people in this business. Perhaps you should get to know how before you talk shit about my friend. And just for the record, Luenell is highly educated. And she helps a lot of people. I ain't never seen NeNe help nobody but her damn self. So don't make it seem like Luenell is some uneducated low class hater with a "crab in the barrel" syndrome. Luenell has definitely paid her dues in the comic world. And I am so proud of her!!! And as far as Luenell throwing shade. Really? NeNe is the shadiest one of them all. That's what she is famous for!

I totally agree with Luenell. Now and days it doesn't take much for a person to be come popular especially in NeNe's case being the "angry Black woman." You got folks that have been stomping the grounds trying to make it in the entertainment industry for years and to have this person come out of the wood works calling themselves a comedian is laughable itself. Is she writing her own jokes? I don't think so. I am sure she is being coached on delivery so she won't look stupid.

Hey Ms.T, as an aspiring actor....excuse me, an ACTOR period. I so agree and say Amen to everything and I mean EVERYTHING you had to say. It was like all my thoughts were coming out of your mouth. I'm a woman of a certain age, who realized life is too short to live with regrets. So I decided to leave my "secure" federal job and move out here to L.A. to pursue acting. Something I'd always wanted to do, but was persuaded not to. Anyway there were a lot of "well-wishers" out there that smile to face and cried as they hugged me goodbye, that I now know couldn't wait until I was headed West to talk smack about me. But, that's ok because I'm doing this for me and as long as I'm happy that's all I need to worry about. So far I've booked two films and a National commercial and I'm still #keepingitmovin'. Love your videos and keep up the good work. Peace.

Ti you are exactly correct. One thing amost one another is that we don't support one another in anything. The right thing Luenell should have done was when she NeNe's flyer was to wish her success. Support her as a seasoned comedian. Because she never knows what God has in store for her. His plans may big for the both of them.

So is Janet Hubert wrong tho 🤔?? There is something wrong with the system when accomplished actresses are passed over for strippers that "came up". Ratchet/ghetto had become the "new black" in a lot of ways. And no we shouldn't compare ourselves to others, but no one would bat an eye if she was some business woman and she was passed over for a promotion and she pointed out that the other party was less grossly and obviously less qualified. So why is it shade?
