DIMINISHED ARPEGGIO on a 5 chord. FULL LESSON

This is an easy way to think about and improvise on a 5 chord/Dominant 7b9
The DIMINISHED ARPEGGIO is a really simple way to get the sound of a dominant chord (with a b9) resolving to chord 1
Lets work on it.
Play the notes in the C major triad ( C E G)
Play the notes in a D diminished arpeggio ( D F Ab B)
Alternate between the two.Mixing the notes up.
Now start adding a few more notes...
Play C major Pentatonic ( C D E G A)
then the Diminished arpeggio. Mix that up.
You can play this C major Pentatonic over C maj7, but you can also play it over the 2 chord ( D min7)
You have already done all the work, same stuff just over a different chord) ;)
Now, start to introduce the notes of the Dmin7 chord, then the Dim arp, then the C maj Pent.
We are basically playing a 2 5 1 ( Dmin7 G7b9 C maj7)
The #jacobcollier bit... is basically... because the Dim Arp is so symmetrical, you can play it over numerous chords that rise or fall in Minor 3rds. We are blowing over G7b9 but it could be Bb7b9, Db7b9 or E7b9. Each of these dominant chords could resolve to there 1 chord. Here I demonstrate going from C maj7 to G7b9 ( which could also be Bb7b9) resolving to Ebmaj7 going to G7b9 resolving back down to C maj7.
