    i almost thought the other guy was gonna get out of the mating attack. he had some pretty nice defensive moves.

      @TheBlade1985 10 місяців тому +8

      He did get out of the mating net but his position was paralyzed so he was doomed in the long run, that's why Danya started playing slow. His position was strategically winning.

    For anyone wondering, black should’ve played Re5 at 9:45, putting pressure on the Queen, when they would start to have the initiative and it was winning.
    Nc6 to follow. Still a tough position to play.

  • @SteveMeek
    @SteveMeek 10 місяців тому +3

    I have no idea if everything was sound but Danya showed an excellent understanding of keeping the pressure on and showing initiative means more than material and he kept blacks bishop and rook completely out the game. Danya is an absolute chess beast

    A masterpiece by Danya! Old dr John Nunn should revise his book (The King Hunt) and give it an entry there 😛

    5:44 why not Qxh6 instead of Bh7+? My calc: fxe5, Bh7+, Kh8 , Bg6+, Kg8, Qh7+, Kf8, Qxf7#

      Qxh6, f5 and the bishop can't help + your queen is now attacked

    • @Tophbbq
      @Tophbbq 11 місяців тому +2

      You give black an opportunity to play f5 (instead of fxe5 and with a tempo on your queen) shutting out the bishop
