Welcome to a lengthy tour of Ignition, from Patch 1, through 128. There's alot of stuff to show you. I briefly touch upon the various improvements to the firmware and explain the the difference between Ignition 1 sand 2.
Enjoy.

Wow. James, congratulations on what is undoubtedly a new milestone in Hydrasynth sound and patch design. You've really set a benchmark demonstrating what this fabulous synth can do. In my opinion this is completely new territory pushing the synth to sonic areas I've not seen and heard on UA-cam in all the videos I've watched. Variety and uniqueness is the key here, as well as inspiring those to use these sounds as is or as a foundation, tweaking and personalising them - there is so much scope and something for everyone here. The sounds sound out of this world. The sound from the chord you hit at 1:22:50 is do die for. If only it was held for longer!
The only downside for me will be deciding which of these not to use! I hope you had as much fun designing them. For anyone on the fence about getting a Hydrasynth, MajorOSC's videos are the go to place to begin. The Hydrasynth is a fabulous instrument and with Ignition 1 and 2, we finally have the pleasure of being shown exactly how it can sound. Thank you.
Thanks man! That's one of my new fav pad you linked in your comment. 8 bit sex appeal I think is the name
Nu Shooz - I can't wait. The name of the song you heard for the patch you mention. Perfect roller skating song at the rink.
The Hydrasynth has never sounded SO amazing! Fantastic job!!!
I snapped this up and spent all last evening going through the sounds. By far the BEST sounds that have ever come out of my Hydrasynth, James. LOVE it!
These patches really exercise the extensive capabilities of the Hydrasynth. Very impressive work. I’m glad that you connected with Glen’s team in advance of the firmware update release.

THIS is the kind of stuff I want to make on this synth. Usable patches for pop, funk, r&b. To do all this with one synth is so dope. I am 100 percent copping this bank when I buy the Hydra, you have done a great job at making some seriously usable and fun presets.
Just getting warmed up. ;) Ignition 3 should be out by year's end.
Great stuff! Wonderful patches! Looking forward to your HS Deluxe multi patches 😊
Excellent demo of wide range of sounds available out of the Hydrasynth. Major OSC patches here are the best available for this synth done in cooperation with ASM timed with the release of its new firmware release. 1:23:11 great articulation in playable comp patch. Lots of uses for this patch.
THE MANUEL SCHELIS OF HYDRASYNTH !!
Put it this afternoon on my HS. Great timing!
Great sounds James I can see why you own this and an Argon8
Wow...rock out with socks out....love this.
You get my vote
Great sounds - now i need the synth
24:19 "in order to not get you sequenced fatigued, I've built a macro that disables it" that's really handy. On my Yamaha MODX there are a lot of presets that have a cool sequence but I don't always want to hear it everytime so I have to turn it off manually and it's a chore. Good thinking on your part.
My apologies for a few casual swears. Just a heads up in case your kids are watching.
My kid over heard you curse now he sells dope. Thanks Major OSC.
@@livefromthepsy-op1170 " just say no kids!"
Incredible set of patches. Lots of movement and modulations. How well would they work on the Hydrasynth Explorer?
Should be Identical
Great patches!
Which expression pedal are you using?
That's some Silent Hill siren/War of the Worlds shit at 31:36
Very good, man. I'll pick up a copy later this evening. Plan on any Jupiter X goodies?
I'm seriously considering just releasing a bank and selling it as a backup of the entire Jupiter. The issue that It would replace everyone else's patches and scene so It didn't seem to make sense. I'm still at a loss for words at how stupid Roland is for pulling off that crap and thinking that's ok. In fact I'm almost certain they have no interest in allowing us to export presets. They just want to sell us their own.
31:22 Apocalypse Horn sounds like the Heptapod sound from the great sci fi movie Arrival.
you're right!!!
34;42 I might be able to use. I have the first set but my music has lush vocals
Are patches using channel or poly at? I had to turn mpe off because sequencing my others synths causes troubles
Nevermind i just filtered out the incoming midi channel in my hub 😁👍
Hey how is the Kings of Strings Patch called now? I cant find it in the library bank... =(
In the lower numbers. Like in the first 10 or 20 I think
@@MajorOSC i bought the wrong patch Bank... 🙈
I just ordered a keyboard hydrasynth and am planning on purchasing this pack. I checked your website for ignition 1 but can’t seem to find it.
Is ignition 1 still available to purchase?
It's there. Look closely
Use a PC. Do not use your phone. Or view as desktop site
Major OSC that solved the issue, thanks so much!
I’ll snag these next week when my hydra arrives.
I just ordered my Hydrasynth yesterday, Saturday, where the WATER is SWEET... Tuesday delivery,,,, now to order these Ignition packages, fire it up and synth on.....
@@tommyg5095 don't forget firmware update :)
Lol, around 28:00 you should have put your video through a kaleidoscope effect. ;)
I THINK the song you're thinking of at about 9:00 is this (linked to the start of that sample-pluck): ua-cam.com/video/UJ1tBVtYOBc/v-deo.html
By the way, I appreciate your commentary on the patches and your thinking behind them.
Thats exactly the song! LOL. Good ear! That used to come on at the office (last job I had). The owners had that on one big playlist lol
Major OSC yes I was in my late teens when that came out. Owned it on cassette ;-)
Love this song. This was the first song I remember loving as a kid.
Very nice but for me too much EDM and sequencing stuff.
