I spent countless hours back in 1989 - 1998 creating sounds like these, and honestly, not quite as good. But I had thousands of dollars in both analog and digital synths with a sampler and a host of processors and recording gear , nearly all totally obsolete now, or in need of repair. I am so pleased with this synth and your work done on it. Thanks for a very pleasing presentation.
Yep... I look at my midi gear now and as good as it all sounds 128 midi steps just can't match the high resolution expression of ASM's Hydrosynth Deluxe with Poly AT and release velocity;-) Sure hope Korg follows suit with whatever replaces the Kronos.
Came for the Hydrasynth (researching before a possible purchase), stayed for the impeccable performance and wondrous sounds. This is a Hydrasynth seller to enable these fantastic patches.
Hydrasynth is a real Monster of Synthesizer. I have the Desktop Version. Now I will also go for the Hydrasynth Deluxe, which will replace my Andromeda A6. "Feed the Verb" is absolutely stunning and it realy shakes the room. Goosebumps pure...
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have the desktop as well and didn't know about the overflow function. So now the Deluxe sings to me even though my brain is like, "You already have one of these!"
Increadible selection of patches. These really bring the Hydrasynth to life. I purchased both banks, and would purchase more if you make any other ones. Well done.
Those ethno patches where you used the ribbon to bend and flourish notes was mindblowing. Pretty much sold me on buying this synth just from doing that.
un sound design véritablement remarquable avec une mention spéciale pour les patchs : magic forest, atlantis, ghost organ, ethno harp et ethno pipe vraiment un excellent travail!👍
Really nicely done. I think these patches are some of the best I've heard at showing off the poly aftertouch. They sound gorgeous, but they're obviously useable rather than just a collection of those: 'hold one note and it virtually plays an entire demo track' type patches that you get on some more complex synths.
Still blown away with some of these sounds! The fact that you created such a deep, mysterious and expansive patch with just one oscillator 'Feed the Verb' is really remarkable. so much control from so few Macros......A w e s o m e
This is awesome. Not merely technical skill but a deep-felt sense of what is required in world-class patches - well done! Bookmarking to return to - again and again no doubt - for inspiration. Some of these actually leave me breathless - which rarely happens at my age. Amazing.
brilliant upload dude. I'm releasing my Ambient bank for the Hydra this week. Your patches are right up my alley!!! Can't wait to pick them up and give them a go......
Have to put another comment in here to support. I recently bought all the Hydra patches from Push-Pull and are amazed by the rich soundscapes that can be created with the Hydrasynth. I was on the verge of selling my Hydra until I got those patches. Now, the Hydra module is a fixed part of my rig and definitely is a keeper. I'd rather sell one of my Rolands. Kudos to Push-Pull for those outstanding sets of patches for such an awesome price. Best bang for the buck ever!
Great playing and sounds, I have to say most videos I hear of this synth sound very CS 80 which is what makes me love synths, I’m a big Vangelis fan. I’m going to have to purchase one. I’m absolutely convinced it’s a great instrument, perhaps around as long as Access virus.
Brilliant patches. The Hydrasynth may not have quite the warmth of some analogue polys but i'll happily add that in post in exchange for this level of expression.
@@airgolf3847 hi air golf, in which blind tests were that? I just bought the hydrasynth waiting for it to arrive, originally wanting to be the Deepmind 12
Il y a un bail qu'un synthé ne m'avait autant donné de plaisir à l'écoute! superbe taf sur les patches! Si j'en prends un, j'achète direct ta collection!
I'll be honest: this is the first Hydrasynth demo I have seen that I actually find compelling. :S It *seems* like a synth with such deep potential, but every other demo I've heard thus far (maybe twenty) is *really* uninspiring. I don't get it. Thanks for showing me what's actually possible.
Same feeling here, this clip really opened up the musicality of the synth. I wished that some one did the same MUSICAL deep diving with Waldorf Quantum, too
It depends on who is playing. Their level of effort and skill. Some people (most it seems) are just really bad at showing off synths and making patches.
Absolutely fantastic, these patches are right up my street and so close to my type of sounds! I love Goa trance and there is an abundance of patches in here that most certainly reflect that futuristic sound! ..love it. Just subscribed too!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! Oh,,What’s with the 5👎guys?
Just bought these. Really great work. Very useful and well crafted. Although there aren't very many macros, the ones you've included are excellent, and I love the names.... Thanks for making your creations available (at such a sweet price)....uploading the video for my 'Ambient' bank as I type...
bought this set of patches and by far the most inspiring I've found for Hydra... Thanks for the extra macros also and good thinking showing them off in your playing here!
People raving about Novation Summit right now. And it sounds great all right... But to me the Hydrasynth and maybe Udo Super are the most interesting "new" synths at the moment
Indeed. And the workflow makes patch building fast and natural. And all of that cross modulation!! People argue over synths not realizing that an oscillator is an oscillator. Lin and exp FM sounds the same no matter what, its math. But the workflow can turn the most daunting and complex sounds in to a 5 minute patch affair.
@@edmontontech2008 Isn't the Hydrasynth wave table too? I'm not a fan of wavetable synths but I did own a Microwave XT which is wave table. Depending on the waves they all sound different.
Whatever patch demo done by you I watch is gassing me up to buy them. Awesome sounds, man - keep up the great work!!!! You actually made me change my mind and not sell my Hydra! Your patches are special and inspiring to say the least. The 9 dislikers must be some noobs who have never produced a sound by themselves in their sorry lives. Liked and subscribed, bro! You rock! Done! Bought all collections and rated them to support your work!
Please, would someone buy one of these, load these patches, and encase it - shipping box and all - in a block of acrylic, and place it in a deep cave for some future generation to find thousands of years from now? That way, they will know that we were capable of making great art using little boxes of metal and plastic (and a few horribly inconvenienced electrons)
love you r patches! Is it possible to recreate the ribbon control on my hydrasynth desktop or send ribbon out via midi to something like a push 2s touch pad?
So I definitely like Hydrasynth. I am new at this though. When I heard the Montage 8 demos I started wondering if it can be loaded with instrument patches that can then be modified? I figure one needs something like this for synthesis, and another device for orchestral type sounds or natural instruments but I could be wrong.
What you're looking for is "sample playback". Some synths do it. This one does not. So for convincing orchestral sounds you would definitely want a different instrument (in addition to this). The Hydasynth is always going to sound like a synthesizer.
Thanks for the video! It just costed me 1400 bucks
Hi Robert, sorry for that ! 😂
Fortunately, I saw this video after the general availability of the Hydrasynth Explorer, so it costed me “only” 599.
@Target this has a fuller sound than explorer
@@reason2look It's literally the same synth engine
I got the desktop just now. $619

Wow, these "real instrument" approaching patches (menuet bizarre, ethno harp and pipe, ...) are terrific.
