Take some Kaolin & Morphine with you next time, it's like sticking a cork up your arse mate. You won't need the loo for hours, works a treat believe you me (not that I've ever stuck a cork up my backside lol). Don't know if you can get it in North America and over on your side of the pond (Atlantic) it might be called something else, but it works great if you have an upset tummy and you need to stop it. A little British gold prospectors tip for you! :)

Is this a claim of yours? I am trying to educate myself on recreational panning and what you can do without owning a claim and the tools you are allowed to use. Says only a shovel and a pan. No sniping tools for crevicing? I just want to cover my ass if I go out somewhere and start digging around. I went on the MTO BC site as well. Some things Im still unclear about. Anyway, love the vids. Keep it up!
Well to be honest, technically everything in BC reguarding mining is illegal. The only ones you need to be concerned about is sluicing (although never actually inforced), dredging, and escivating with machines in the riparian zone. This particular spot was on an open panning reserve however it was also before I knew any rules. Ive done a lot if research in hand pumps too and its definately legal. I got in contact with the "top" person reguarding it, and even they dont really know.. Your pretty safe to go anywhere and do anything non mechanical as long as its not on a claim or in a park lol. I can go so much further into it but better if you email 👊

But by far the best I've found is the foam that's on weight machines foot pads they work
The best materials are the foam they use to insulate pipes with or the foam the use to make work out mats that enterlock

Yeah well any hand dredge I think will do but I believe if you use leather for the plunge piece rather than rubber, you get a much better seal
