This brings me back to 2001 playing Triple Play 2001 on my PSOne. That time period in the early 2000s was so amazing. I thought as a kid the lyrics were "Baseball, flies near, baseball away from here".
so many negative comments, i think its actually cool, you want the original then listen to that, this is just a new twist on an old classic. expand your minds people
Yeah I know right like there's multiple covers of sounds of silence and no one complains about that but here's just one cover and all the sudden everyone is offended by the act.
Wow.. this is incredibly well done.. got some old school hip hop in the background, while doing some hard remixes, and keeping the integrity of the song entirely... Absolutely crazy.
Does anyone know how I can find this anywhere to add to my Apple Music list? The version the Internet SAYS is this version is NOT this version.🙄😬 I couldn’t find this on iTunes, Amazon, etc.
Work! Yo, Fatboy! You rule! Thanks so much for this classic fat track!! I love how you've restored it to popularity for a new generation of music lovers! Rock on!!Regards!
This particular version is nowhere to be found on spotify and it pains my ass. There is a version that says Go soundtrack with an artist of knightsbridge. Its close but not the same. I want this on spotify dangit! If anyone finds this exact mix on spotify let me know please!
Soundhound (android app) identifies this as "Magic Carpet Ride [Steir's Mix]", on "Go [1999 Original Soundtrack]". Sure enough, look up the Go soundtrack and there it is. Vote this up so everyone can see it plez :)
If you have a sound system with hella good bass, crank this remix UP. I had an 06 Mustang GT with the Shaker 1000 in it, and this mix would THUMP. Best version of this song I've ever heard btw. Has an updated sound, but retains the fun of the original.
Terry Bradshaw: Why would I be nervous? Dale Earnhardt: Nah you shouldn't be... This song played when Terry Bradshaw and Dale Earnhardt had what was a tour guide around Daytona and was it was Dale Earnhardt's last night before he was tragically killed at the Daytona 500 on the final lap on February 18, 2001...
The original is Steppenwolf. Philip Steir did this remix for the movie "Go". It is not Crystal Method or Fatboy Slim. The title is "Magic Carpet Ride (Steir's Mix)" - Philip Steir
~ 1968 and still iconic and fun and fresh and hot in 2020 ~ BTW, this is not Fatboy Slim, Slim wold have done far better in re-mixing this iconic dance jam classic. John Kay! ~ Cheers, DAVEDJ ~
I can't seem to find this version of Magic Carpet Ride on any of the albums... I was under the impression this single was done by Crystal Method, but again, I can't find anything listed on any of their albums... If you can't tell, I've been going through My Music folder and fixing up all my mp3s (giving them all album info etc.) and this song has got me stuck :(
Classic rock combined with the old style hip hop making the best combo ever. It is Steir's remix but it's still awesome. I'm the only guy at my school who listens to this music. They laugh at me and say it sucks compared to Justin Beiber! I just laugh turn on my ipod at full blast to where everyone can here.
+Miguel Ramírez That was the way I was going to do my original search, but I figured I'd just thumb through all the remixes of this song and it was the 1st one lol. Great minds....
@molloyconz Duly noted, but the top down on the 'Vette with warm wind blowing, girl in the next seat, you can't deny this is one good azz cruisin song.. Or maybe you've been sittin in the house too long..
This brings me back to 2001 playing Triple Play 2001 on my PSOne. That time period in the early 2000s was so amazing. I thought as a kid the lyrics were "Baseball, flies near, baseball away from here".
😂😂😂
This is one of the BEST remixes i've ever heard. Hipped it up, but kept the integrity of the original song. Just stellar!
Have you heard crystal methods version?
@@peterdoane4961 That IS Crystal Methods Version...
AMEN AMEN 🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻
Responder a letraw
But it’s not, this is Philip Steir’s remix.
Man, this took me back to the good ol days when I used to play Triple Play Baseball 2001 with my brother. That game was a BLAST!!!!
I first heard this song in Triple Play 2001. Love it.
so many negative comments, i think its actually cool, you want the original then listen to that, this is just a new twist on an old classic. expand your minds people
Tiz better n all! x

Anyone who can’t enjoy Fatboy Slim, Steppenwolf or a combination between the two needs their fucking head checked
Yeah I know right like there's multiple covers of sounds of silence and no one complains about that but here's just one cover and all the sudden everyone is offended by the act.
Fatboy Slim did Steppenwolf proud! An awesome classic remix of an awesome classic song! ✊❤️❤️✊
Three Words: Triple Play 2001

My dads favorite game.
i LOVE this version of the song. it feels like im playing triple play 2001 for my old playstation again!
Wow.. this is incredibly well done.. got some old school hip hop in the background, while doing some hard remixes, and keeping the integrity of the song entirely... Absolutely crazy.
As far as I know, and according to Shazam, this isn't a Fatboy Slim remix. This is Steppenwolf/Philip Steir - Magic Carpet Ride (Steir's Mix).
Stier's has subtle differences. This one has faint crackling (decks & wax) it's rumored this was done w/3 tables...I dont know for sure.
I used to have this song on napster or one of those pirate sites and always thought it was remixed by the crystal method
crystal method
It sure af sounds like the Philip Steir remix
Does anyone know how I can find this anywhere to add to my Apple Music list? The version the Internet SAYS is this version is NOT this version.🙄😬 I couldn’t find this on iTunes, Amazon, etc.
This will always make me think of the spaceship taking off in Star Trek: First Contact.
"GO" is a righteous movie with a righteous twist like this song.

Emblematic of a perfect remix.
This is literally the best remix and song in the world 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Our Country was so promising in the 1960’s and 70’s.
"The Engineer"
damn good song. great twist on a timeless classic. good work.
I love the original but this is extraordinary
Triple Play 2001: my favorite baseball game ever!
Hell this is a funky remix. This like the good remixes from the late 90s~early 2000s.
I installed triple play 2001 yesterday
I'm not the only Triple Play fan on here. That is 100% correct and exactly why I looked it up!
This particular version is nowhere to be found on spotify and it pains my ass. There is a version that says Go soundtrack with an artist of knightsbridge. Its close but not the same. I want this on spotify dangit! If anyone finds this exact mix on spotify let me know please!
This is Crystal Method that's why, not Fatboy Slim

The magic carpet ride went straight to the Andromeda Galaxy.
Triple Play 2001⚾️ (2000).
Here in 2022 and this remix is great!
Soundhound (android app) identifies this as "Magic Carpet Ride [Steir's Mix]", on "Go [1999 Original Soundtrack]". Sure enough, look up the Go soundtrack and there it is. Vote this up so everyone can see it plez :)

Tripple play baseball!! Good memories
Fatboy slim kicks ass. Remake or otherwise.
I remember an old Dodge commercial that used this every time I hear the remix...
Terry Bradshaw: Why would I be nervous?
Dale Earnhardt: Nah you shouldn't be...
This song played when Terry Bradshaw and Dale Earnhardt had what was a tour guide around Daytona and was it was Dale Earnhardt's last night before he was tragically killed at the Daytona 500 on the final lap on February 18, 2001...
best version ever
Years later song still goes down smooth.

I dig! Good work.
best scratch in history
Which is better? Fatboy Slim or Crystal Method version of this song?
The original is Steppenwolf. Philip Steir did this remix for the movie "Go". It is not Crystal Method or Fatboy Slim. The title is "Magic Carpet Ride (Steir's Mix)" - Philip Steir
This was not remixed by Fatboy slim. It was remixed by Philip Steir for the movie Go
From the soundtrack to movie 'Friends with Benefits'...cool
Nascar Thunder 2003? Anyone?
~ 1968 and still iconic and fun and fresh and hot in 2020 ~ BTW, this is not Fatboy Slim, Slim wold have done far better in re-mixing this iconic dance jam classic. John Kay! ~ Cheers, DAVEDJ ~
It's crystal method, and it's still perfect twenty years later.
Kick-ass jam!!!

@Tyriama Lol, you heard it from the engineer video too?
I can't seem to find this version of Magic Carpet Ride on any of the albums... I was under the impression this single was done by Crystal Method, but again, I can't find anything listed on any of their albums... If you can't tell, I've been going through My Music folder and fixing up all my mp3s (giving them all album info etc.) and this song has got me stuck :(

@RaunchyFlyinTwinkies ...but...what have I said that has anything to do with Mr. Jackson?
Personally I wouldn't say better than the original just a different style both versions of the song balls on
Catchy song!
I think this is the version from Special Unit 2! I can't believe I found it!

pretty cool remix...

Anyone know the actual song and artist? Perhaps a Spotify link? Thanks.
This is a remix of Steppenwolf's Magic Carpet ride by Fatboy Slim. Might not be able to find it on Spotify.
There is a Heavy Gear video with this song...it is badass.
have you heard of, oh, iTunes or Amazon mp3?
@molloyconz Duly noted, but the top down on the 'Vette with warm wind blowing, girl in the next seat, you can't deny this is one good azz cruisin song.. Or maybe you've been sittin in the house too long..
