2v2 on US is borked. Me and my friend tried it, and in every game we've encountered a bot that left the game right at the start. AFAIK, it's been there for a while, and Blizzard don't do jack$h1t to fix it (of course they don't). So Adam & Jeff would have to move to EU for 2v2, I guess.
The one thing I loved the most about this series was how patient Jeff was on Adam, he gave constructive criticism, kept up the encouragement throughout, and was really intent on helping Adam get a dub. Mature, authentic kinship right there.
That placement reaction was priceless. I loved this series, both for y'all's banter, and also for seeing a real-time breakdown of decision making. It really emphasizes just how little time there is to waste in this game.

This series compelled me to play again for the first time in 4 years. I had a weirdly similar experience, getting put into Bronze 3, but then beating several low-gold players and catapulting into silver. The actual Bronze players that matched against me didn't know how to build detection or expand lol
love this series, want more! it's amazing how much of a difference can make a few seconds of delay between decisions and acting, as a crap palyer myself i understand where good players shines and turn me into precipitations
It's a challenge! Even at lower leagues, when players weaponize builds that are nearly perfected at this point a few seconds is an eternity. The time it takes for Jeff to explain what he'd like me to do, me processing it, then attempting to do it is often enough delay to give up possibly good positions that lead to worse outcomes. It was still fun, though! SC2 is nearly as "solved" as Broodwar at this point and so the fun of experimentation isn't there for me anymore like it was when I last ranked consistently all those years ago. I'm just not interested in essentially becoming a machine to perfect the first 2:30 of a given game so that the last 7:30 can be played out. Maybe I will for the hell of it again in the future but it's not as enticing for me since I like it when I feel like I'm still able to come up with solutions that aren't discovered yet. [Adam]
@@lanteanboy He gave up over a year ago, cause he was pulling a third of what Jeff and Adam are now, with five times as many (uninterested) subscribers. There's no community as salty as gamers, and mathematically he burned 99.9% of his fanbase bad enough they refused to give him their time (including me, I just checked the channel without watching anything).
@ if I recall, his fall was because of 3 major things: 1. He didn't announce he was retiring and just disappeared randomly 2. when he first came back, it was as a completely different channel which was not what anyone was used to 3. finally, he came back to Starcraft 2 when it had its renaissance but.... everyone had already given up hope on the Old Husky and thus it was seen as a cash grab.

Next 5 games of MaximusBlack Literally Says should be 5 games of Chargelot rush cheese, that'll get Adam's early game consistent building the same setup each time, while also being quite entertaining, then when he's got the opener setup quite down its easier to focus on more units and fighting Great series gives newbies hope to try out.
Hey Adam! You did well, thanks for making the videos! Don't get too sad, its pretty hard to play and receiving literal instruction almost non-stop. The game is already multitasking, I think you guys make it unnecessarily difficult in this format. I think, if you would have just play this match alone, you would have win. Look, no one expects NovaWar to be placing Masters right out the gate. It's a learning process. I'd just like to hear that he's excited to learn and he's putting in some effort be prepared rather than bragging about how he can't spare the time to play a single match outside "making content" (referring to previous installations). I have a hard time enjoying watching someone struggle with hotkeys when they could make the time to get past that basic hump on their own time. It's like watching a cashier be given the keys to open the store for the first time after years of mid-day service, of watching opening procedures be done, but they're struggling to get the key into the lock, then struggling to turn the alarm off. Worse, they're being micromanaged by the boss through the intercom so they feel too paralyzed to take initiative. I guess what I'm saying is that I was more interested in seeing NovaWar play on his own with some guidance rather than literal "backseat gaming". I get that's part of the LagTV brand ("we don't prep, we don't put an effort in, it's not that serious") but that's not an attitude that'll appeal to new viewers or grow the channel. Five videos out of 30 in a month won't bury us, and in fact we had the biggest new subscriber month in years in the last 30 days. Not sure if blink stalkers really is the way to go, they're kinda weak without solid micro. Maybe next time try for an archon chargelot timing? It's very a-move friendly, and (in lower leagues) is viable in all 3 matchups.

Really wish gaming in general wasn't in the dumpster. Remaking the engine to be better optimized and re-releasing the game as "Star Craft 2.5" following the notion of what other casters like Artosis recommended like just throwing out all the "bad" units from the game and bringing together the good from SC1 BW and SC2 would be a huge win. Absolutely there is a demand for a good modern RTS, and nothing is really filling that void. SC2 Wings of Liberty is now older than SC1 was when it first launched in ~2010.

I play the colour commentator role in a casting duo that focuses on making light of the average SC2 players experience lol. There's also a stark difference between playing 4 games across 4 weeks in 8 years on an account with previous Diamond MMR on ranked ladder and someone who plays semi-regularly for years doing some of the stuff we routinely see on this channel LOL. I also to a degree found it more difficult doing this format where Jeff was directing me for everything because the time it takes for him to say something, me process it, and attempt it, is often enough time for things to have long gone wrong in a game where even in gold, 10 seconds is an eternity. Absolutely there is a demand for a good modern RTS, and nothing is really filling that void. SC2 Wings of Liberty is now older than SC1 was when it first launched in ~2010.

I'm not an arm chair grand master - I'm not even an arm chair diamond anymore. I play the colour commentator role in a casting duo that focuses on making light of the average SC2 players experience lol.
There's also a stark difference between playing 4 games across 4 weeks in 8 years on an account with previous Diamond MMR on ranked ladder and someone who plays semi-regularly for years doing some of the stuff we routinely see on this channel LOL.
I also to a degree found it more difficult doing this format where Jeff was directing me for everything because the time it takes for him to say something, me process it, and attempt it, is often enough time for things to have long gone wrong in a game where even in gold, 10 seconds is an eternity. I'm honestly impressed we got the win we did. It's remarkable, if you think about it. Basically not interfacing with the game even as a viewer for nearly a decade and then yeeting yourself back into ranked ladder raw with previous diamond MMR for several thousand people to watch is not an experience I would recommend most people choose to have.

Strongly disagree. Amazing that this comment would come AFTER the fucking preamble they did before the cast. I know you said “with love” but I dunno. I mean at least you couldn’t have validated them any further. Years- and years- and years of free and hilarious content, not to mention thousands of dollars donated to charity.
