As a biased bears fan were a few defensive stops away from being 10-7
At least you admitted to being biased bc you should should know fields doesn't play well in the fourth and turns the ball over(one of highest 4th TO ratio in the league) so blaming the defense for giving them 4th quarter leads to begin with to totally unfair its was mostly a offensive meltdown period blame the oc or Justin or the oline but the defense wasn't the main reason why we lose those game my guy.

It’s funny how everyone says Justin had three years but the first year Matt Nagy didn’t start him, they had Andy Dalton and Nick Foles he was third string only played in a few games not to mention his first game sacked 9 times. In year 2, he had no offensive line, no receivers and a bad defense not to mention he still ran for over 1,100yds, this year is the first year he had a true WR and we saw what happened give the man time.

Chicago improving the offensive line and getting a wide receiver and building around him seems like the best answer you don’t know for sure how Caleb will play in the NFL.
We don’t know for sure is Fields is good that makes zero sense. Our offensive line looks worst than it is because he holds the ball longer than anybody in the league not counting scrambling. He is just not the guy.

This was the best discussion about Justin Fields’ reality that I’ve heard in the last couple months. Justin Fields will get to a Super Bowl. Chicago has a great chance if they keep them. There is none, it's just media drama. Nobody knows the conversations Poles has behind closed doors with his players. Based on his character, I'm sure Fields knows as much as Poles knows at this point.
If I’m the bears I’m taking a draft haul for that number one pick and rebuilding that team around fields. The bears would have the capital to walk out of this draft just in the first two rounds to get another top receiver, a starting tackle and guard to rebuild the offensive line and a pass rusher. That’s going to get this programme far better now and moving forward and if fields doesn’t deliver you go grab a qb next year

Justin Fields will be a great value for this year. Next year e will be making 25 million and if he plays as well as he could with a good system behind him it will still be valuable. J love is going to get paid a lot considering hes on a 1 year contract worth 13 million and will get paid at the very least 40/45 mil a year

Key is trippin if Justin was that good why isn’t the draft compensation better than a 2nd 4th or 5th round pick. Why is the No. 1 pick worth a haul? Caleb Williams that’s why? He’s the haul. Caleb is a better passer right now than just 3 yrs in the NFL. His timing and anticipation throws are better than Justin’s.

What makes this off-season so difficult is that there is more pressure on the new offensive staff to make whichever quarterback starts in 2024 to meet/beat last season's record. Possible? Absolutely but Waldron will undoubtably have to either 1) train Fields in another system with (hopefully) more well-built team or 2) develop Caleb/Maye over time to compete in a division that will get more playoff competitive, and vice versa. The value of the picks, good or average, will not take this anxiety away.
you don't trade to get a number 1 WR to just trade a QB and draft a rookie, never been done before in the history so...there's that, giants are the sleeper team to trade up 2 number 1s and a second round this year and 2 3ed next. Moving bears back to wait on a WR that will fall at 7 and still have the 9 pick to draft help on the o line....sign Barkley and a few more helpers on defense mainly a d tackle in the second round and a safety in the 3ed....yeah I can see it.

If Chicago decides to keep Justin and pays him the similar contract that Jones signed a year ago, that would be a calculated risk the Bears must entertain for years to come.

this is not hard to understand. you pick up his 5th year option because you think he can still take that leap that he hasnt quite shown. but if he doesnt, its not big deal. you didnt sign him to a long term deal. lamar was an MVP and the ravens still did this. fields hasnt shown anything even remotely close to MVP other than he has the physical tools and athleticism. it makes perfect sense if they think fields is way better than what he has shown, but they still arent ready to commit to a long term deal, because theres always the chance he never reaches his potential.

It’s a bit unfair to count all his stats win loss before you gave the man tools to work with. DJ Moore came this year. Last year you gave him garbage and asked him to make a 5 course meal fit for a king. In 2022, he won 3 games out of 17 getting the 1st pick in the draft. This year they won 7 games after acquiring DJ Moore. All along you changed this and that, making him play in ways not matching his skill set.
So let’s lay 90% of this at the feet of the Bears management and coaching not doing their job to put him in a position to win.

It’s the nature of the job nothing dangerous about it. GM’s and HC”s make those kind of decisions all the time. If it works out ( like KC trading up to get Mahomes in the draft) they are geniuses. If it flames out ( like Chicago trading up to get Mitch Trubisky in the same draft) they get fired.

The people who are biased because they want Mitchell Trubisky or Rex Grossman. Keyshawn explained it on every level. The Bears are in danger of another 38 years without Super Bowl victory. Words can not describe the willful prejudice that people have. The Bears gave up three picks to move from 1 spot to pick their MT or new version of Rex Grossman. They missed drafting Mahomes and gave up many of the Bears picks. Pace got embarrassed about it because Watson and Mahomes were excellent that year. Lamar Jackson who the old guard wanted to make into a WR, he was incredible that year. Pace needed to make up for his terrible mistakes move up to get Justine Fields. All these Justine Haters miss the obvious because they want to. I hope that the Bears do not select CW because I do not believe CW will get a fair shake here in Chicago. I hope that Poles knows what he is doing, but Keyshawn has a very good understanding of Football on all angles of the game.
If Poles publicly announces that he is not taking bids on Justin, it would imply that he is not interested in Caleb Williams, who is a highly sought-after quarterback. However, Poles actually wants a team that needs a quarterback so badly that they are willing to pay a hefty price to acquire Caleb Williams from us instead of our competitors, Atlanta or Washington. If Washington knows that they can get Caleb at the second position in the draft, they won't pay us for him. That is why Poles won't reveal his hand and make his intentions known. Essentially, Poles needs a QB-needy team to be interested in Caleb Williams so much that they are willing to offer us a better deal than our competitors. If Poles were to reveal that he is not taking bids on Justin, it would suggest that he is not interested in Caleb, which could lead to Washington not paying us for him. Therefore, Poles is keeping his intentions secret to get the best possible deal. Let's stop the prodding.

When the bears went 4-2 with Justin fields, a few key notes happened
#1- Justin had 3 games with 200+ passing yards, and one game with 100+ rushing yards
#2- Justin did not have a game where he accounted for more than 1 passing touchdown, and in 2 of them he didn’t even lead his team to scoring one touchdown.
#3- Defensively Chicago was #1 in takeaways and top 5-10 in scoring defense.
What this tells me is Justin had plenty of chances to score many more points than the other team, and in only 1 game was it ever a blowout, while the other they won by 15 (depending how you see it this could be seen as a blowout too). A great quarterback changes and enhances the team and idk if Justin does that. If Justin needs a super team to compete, then I think the answer becomes more obvious on what Chicago should do.
Most brilliant move ever trade a #1 overall for what become a 2nd #1 overall. Draft Caleb, trade fields for a 1st, then you have Caleb AND 2 more 1st rounders!

Here's the thing... if you trade Justin Fields when you never gave him an oline and 1 elite WR for Caleb Williams, who will also not have an oline and an elite receiver and he fails, what then? Now on the other hand, he may be the next Patrick Mahomes and you would live with that forever. It almost makes the most sense to trade Justin Fields for the off shoot chance Caleb Williams is the next Patrick Mahomes, otherwise, you're really just in the same boat with Fields or without him. SO it really isn't a losing scenario to just trade him and pick Caleb.
