I was born on the Dpad, and I'll die on the Dpad.
Do you have any tips? I use analog stick and I’ve got to warrior but I can tell if I don’t used dpad I won’t get better. But my fingers are so slow
Just do the slide motion when you're trying to do a special move instead of pushing the buttons individually on the dpad.
@@TheDarkStigmataVA wouldnt you jus press the down button while trying to move left to right? i use reiko and for his launcher kick i have i do the left to right but i accidentally always do the tactical takedown instead

@@startuslernowadays it’s more so for moves that use it like Johnny can hit flip stance during a special move to charge his star meter

People actually use the analog stick for fighting games? Crazy. Ive tried in the past and it felt so difficult compared to using an actual fight stick.
personally i probably play hella weird but i jump back and forth between the analog stick and d-pad depending on what im doing lmfao

@@DanielSmith-ll2iw yeah but there's no back forward or up down or quarter circle inputs in that game right? Plus fluidity of movement is probably far more important in that game so you would want the more precise movement on the x,y dimensions.
@darth9302 There actually is all the imputs like thag with the Ken, Ryu, Kayuza, and Terry characters Kayuza even has the perfect Electric wind God fist which can be done with a Forward, Down, Forward imput plus A at the same frame lmao

Interesting! Ive always left vibration on in fighting games because i think it helps me learn the attack timing better and when to block.
Now I'm gonna try turning it off to see if i can perform better, but i know it can be useful for learning parries in tekken and flawless blocking in mk

There was one time ninja killa checked his thing and he had input shortcuts and I wanna say medium I was surprised for someone so crispy. This was mk11 though

I always use analog you use one smooth flick movement for specials. Sometimes it isn’t as accurate though.
But I can just wiggle the stick and press a button for fatalities.
Using r1 as a block since mk9 and it was the best decision I ever made lol.
Closer to finger's rest position shorter movement of trigger for the button you need to press quicker than others.
Yeah it's also very good for pump blocking, like unblocking and blocking really fast. I'm just so used to R2 I keep it default haha

This was much needed. Turned release check off and my smoke cancels coming out clean then ah mtf. This was needed.

Smoke cancel was tough came looking for a smoke user and you right release check f up the cancel
Use the analog stick to unlock secret move the stick drift
Dinkleberg! Thank you for showing thay input shortcut. I always drop my combos online because of that input analog having to press all the way back then forward for Shaolin shimmy. I can do the input with ease now.

I play the game on keyboard which allows for extremely precise control over character movements given that I have 3 fingers across 4 movement buttons, so I basically just turn off every one of those settings to avoid accidental inputs.

I wish you could set FB to one button. I changed my block button to shoulder and it makes the FB input real awkward in some combos.

I have kameo on l2 because it's a lot easier for me to hold l2 while tapping r2. Using index and middle finger in default requires me to shift my grip on controller
yeah i have kameo on L2 and block on L1 easier access imo

I kinda wanna change my kameo button but ive gotten so used to it now after 8ish months. I just dont wanna break my brain back in to new buttons. I will say having block on R1 or L1 is a lot more responsive than having it on R2 or L2 less travel in the button but alas ive gotten used to where it is factory now lol
I wish I could remap the button to activate the talisman. My analog stick has drift and keeps activating the talisman randomly during fights.
Ngl I’ve been playing with that alternate control on all this time with ermac & it’s done nothing but restrict my combos I’ve taken it off & my ermac looks like sonic fox had the controller
Im trying to learn controller after playing on keyboard. Release check imo is for keyboard players. I couldnt do combos until i turned it on.
I got release check off and I still got unwanted special 🤦🏽♂️

When you play this game at tournaments, are these settings player preference or is it locked by tournament settings? Asking cause I'm a MK noob.
Oh bruh the button release check is the reason I kept doing ice clone punch instead of slide. I thought it was cuz of input shortcut.
I use the analog stick for bf specials since for some reason I find them really awkward to do on dpad.

They nerf cyrax but keep this shit in the game. They should have brought other kameo power up to cyrax as far as utility. As far as jax is concerned if they want to keep jax unblockable have it scale so it keeps the same utility but you don't die.

So I was an Xbox player never had issues with Xbox controller for MK11 then when I switch to PS5 the controller is so bad the Dpad is terrible I had to just buy Victrix
yea, ps5 dpad is a nightmare specifically for Mortal kombat and any FG.

NRS needs to learn how to make an input buffer already so you can input a special exactly at the point where its needed, like... every other goddamn fighting game, instead of sticking to their dial a combo crap.
Ya I'm terrible at this game. But those changes have made all the difference.

@ForeverKing I think because I hit the button inputs so quickly? I tried it off and curiously its only moderately better for certain kharacters with slower buttons, like Rain.. idk! 🤷♂️
Kameo L2, block R1,flip stance R2, L1 Throw, and Takedo has an attack low on R2 flips. they keep it like mk 11 @ default, that`s not a good input control setup for mk 1.

long time fan bro since mk 9 , good content, is it possible to disable L2 button? , its very sensitive on a ps5 controller, am unable play properly becus of this shit bro, i keep getting unwanted flip stance and fatal blows while playing its very annoying man.....😮💨am losing bicuz of this shit

Bro we used to have 3 systems in my uncles house and he used to have me and all my cousin come over and set up a system in every room and play wingman and have brothers on brothers tournaments.
